I left a comfortable provider but through insurance I was allowed to research my own provider and took a chance on Oliva Bently. This amazing individual was honest with me (she had no idea how to treat this unique problem) LOL -but prepared me for that. This awesome doctor took time to discuss my symptoms without gaslighting or dismissing my opinion of what is happening. This kind professional suggested specialists for my problem and offered pre - authorizations for that help. When my daughter went to the same Tanner clinic they hooked her up with a professional who was thorough, understanding, and kind. Its been years since my adult daughter had someone like Megan however, after just a few visits Megan moved - Ugh- starting over soon.

(repost from Google reviews since prospective patients deserve to be fully informed before choosing…read moreFowers as their PCP) I've been seeing Fowers for a year or so, and she's a great primary if you only need the basics. However, she's not empathetic or knowledgeable about serious symptoms and struggles of unknown chronic ailments. She's more likely to laugh and tell you it's all in your head rather than admit she doesn't have the answer. If you have serious health problems and need to see a family medicine doctor for guidance on what paths to follow on diagnosis and treatment, look elsewhere. I've seen previous primary care doctors that do listen and take you seriously, so I know there's more like them out there, but Fowers isn't one. Medical gaslighting is a serious problem that can lead to greater psychological stress and a possible worsening of symptoms to the point where a condition is too far advanced for efficient treatment once it has been identified by an experienced doctor Healthcare professionals should know better. I suggest you look elsewhere for your healthcare needs. *Note: When I broke down and told her my worsening physical symptoms had brought my life to a halt, she laughed and told me that it wasn't true. Perhaps if I had brought a witness to advocate for how badly my health has declined, she wouldn't have been so arrogant. Needless to say, I will not be seeing Fowers anymore. ________________________________________ Update 05/2024: after finding an amazing doctor, we confirmed that I have a rare, and debilitating, blood and metabolic disease that has progressed into a syndrome and is now past the point of being treatable. I developed severe UV sensitivity, suffer in immense pain, and have irreversible cognitive and motor neuron damage. I am completely disabled with a novel Porphyric syndrome at just 30 years old. Contrary to what Fowers had said when she laughed at me as I broke down crying, I was not well. In fact, my disease is almost identical in symptomology as lead poisoning. If I had been referred to a hematologist as I had requested back in Oct. 2023, my disease may not have progressed to the point of complete disability. In fact, she refused to refer me to any specialist at all at the time. After speaking with my nurse advocate, she was appalled at this. I've been given an attorney to assist me in filing a lawsuit. Jody Fowers is not only incompetent but malicious to those with complex illnesses. DO NOT TRUST THIS WOMAN WITH YOUR HEALTH. I feel it is my duty to ensure this traumatic experience does not happen to anyone else. Rare and complex diseases exist. No one deserves to be mistreated or denied proper care, much less patients with complex symptoms. Until Jody Fowers understands that, she has no right to call herself a healthcare professional.

HOWEVER, I have had numerous challenges with billing, scheduling appointments, prescription refills, etc. For example, the Ogden Clinic Website is Very Difficult to Use. It doesn't explain how to enter information, it justs locks up until you figure it out. Example, enter phone number without dashes, or that the "Commercial" payment method refers to using your insurance. It also goes through the whole send a code, fill out address, email, phone number, etc. only to tell you they can't process your request and to call a number--which apparently is available 24/7, but again doesn't tell you that. COME ON OGDEN CLINIC, YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS.

Dr. Hibbard is very gentle, and highly intelligent. Perfect qualities for a general practitioner. Wendy Midgely is the PA, and it's the first time I've ever felt like a PA is MD caliber. I never feel "punished" if I can't book an appointment with Dr. Hibbard, & have to see Wendy instead. Wendy is so funny! I always get a laugh out of visiting with her. But that woman knows her stuff too. I have confidence that either lady in the office will diagnose me correctly. My husband also practices in the medical field. He is the one that referred me to Farmington Family Medicine. Dr. Hibbard is the MD that treats my husband too. Dr. Hibbard isn't a doctor exclusively for the fairer gender! The only downside to the practice is the office personnel. The employee at the front desk, that makes the appointments & checks patients in, always seems to change. But the employee that does the billing, and also interacts with patients is an ornery person! She isn't friendly, and I dislike interacting with her. What stood out most was how much he truly cared. I felt seen, heard, and respected, not just treated like another case. He not only listened, but also provided helpful tools and advice with no judgment, which made a meaningful difference. His compassion and professionalism made a difficult situation so much easier to handle. I also want to recognize the incredible nurses and staff. They were kind, patient, and attentive throughout my visit, making sure I was comfortable and supported every step of the way. WARNING!!!! This is…read moremy personal review of the care I received from this provider. Vivian Dearden, CNM is a Critical Care Medicine Specialist in Layton, UT. Vivian Dearden currently practices at Obstetrics & Gynecology Layton and is affiliated with CommonSpirit Holy Cross Hospital-Davis. Vivian Dearden was one of the worst experiences I've ever had in my life, hands down, no contest! She has terrible communication skills, bedside manner, or empathy for her patients fears & concerns. I had two visits with her and I am currently looking for a new OBGYN because both of those appointments were awful. I saw her for post menopausal bleeding and she informed me I would need a complete pelvic ultrasound followed by a biopsy of my uterus. After she explained the biopsy I informed her of my MANY traumatic experiences with past doctors and procedures down there and requested sedation for the biopsy procedure, she refused. I requested some pain medication prior to the procedure, and she refused. I then requested a Valium and again, she refused. She prescribed two pills that she told me to break into 4ths and insert in my vagina 4 hours prior to the procedure. When I asked if I could just take them orally she said no. When I asked what the pills do her response was soften my cervix for the procedure, that's it, that was her full explanation. She performed my Pap smear, gave me the prescription and sent me on my way. I had asked her to look at a spot on my skin I was concerned with and she never did. I called and they told me she will look at it when you come for your biopsy. So I got the runaround with common spirit's automated phone system and decided to use IHC to get my ultrasound instead, they got me in right away and got it done, which was fantastic because I'm worrying about getting this biopsy done & hearing the results right away! I wait weeks to hear back about the ultrasound results and scheduling of my biopsy and hear nothing. Finally I call IHC and ask what the hold up is, Rocky Mountain Women's Health, her facility, has the wrong fax number on it, hence why they still don't have my results. I provided IHC with the correct fax number, called Vivian's office and informed them of the error. So now finally after weeks of waiting I get in for my biopsy and discover these two pills she had me insert in my vagina have caused me severe cramping, diarrhea, and more bleeding. I would have at least worn underwear with a pad had she told me ANY of this, remember she just said they'd soften my cervix for it! The biopsy was the most painful procedure I've ever had and I highly recommend to any woman needing it to get sedated first!!! ! She made senseless chitchat toward my husband about men not knowing the appropriate time for humor, instead of helping me through this horrible procedure, even after I'd fully informed her of all of my past doctor associated pain traumas!!! The pain was so bad I nearly came of the table, I cussed and was in tears the whole time. Thank God my husband was there holding my hand, he also was almost in tears just watching me bless his heart. Again she forgot to look at the spot I was concerned about too. Oh yeah I looked into those pills and they're used for abortions and incomplete miscarriages, really would have been great to know how they'd affect me. SHE IS THE WORST!!!
