Ok place to come visit in Wading River. Fairly large you pick peach and plum orchard. You pay $10 per bag and they'll tell you which rows you can pick peaches from. You pick your peaches and proceed to checkout. It's $2 a pound which is not such a great price but you pay for the experience. Something different to do on a nice day.

I guess I'm the odd one out. They say no bags what's the big deal I didn't see one, had no problem leaving my bag in the car. I thought the guys where very nice and quite funny. When you treat people nicely they do the same to you. Me my husband and son went for peaches and they were very good I would agree get firm cause a bunch got smushed in bag but we were making a crumble anyway. Very fun day for the 3 of us :)

Swooping into the parking lot to glance at the rows of tables, saw a half a dozen varieties of Heirloom tomatoes. Can't resist over sized, fresh heirloom tomatoes. They grow them and also the eggplant and cucumbers the clerk said. Some other items are locally grown for convenience as most farm stands share product to create a better shopping experience. It works. Saw some nice local potato chips, saw fruit and even pies. Went with what they grow to check them out, and some local green lettuce, super fresh that can't be beat.

I do not make sauce but if I did I would get the tomatoes for my sauce from Mays farm. The corn was super fresh and I went every week to get my corn to bbq each week. I look forward to going for a fall pumpkin picking trip. they have a large selection of pumpkins, including the white pumpkins which are my favorite. I look forward to their delicious roasted corn and huge mums! last year I also went to a "decorate your own " wreath session they had at Christmastime and they let me decorate a grave blanket instead for my moms grave. very nice people.

Large peach orchard. We went on a Sunday, a few days after a big storm. Got there first thing in…read morethe morning and were surprised to find the parking lot already half full. Entrance was $4 per person, but you the first $4 worth of peaches back. And it was only $2/Lb thereafter. A bargain. Even with the loss of much fruit and some trees from the storm, we were able to find about 80 pounds of peaches after an hour. Most needed a few more days to soften. But, some of us enjoy their tartness and crunchiness anyway. And despite having large sections of the farm roped off, due to fallen trees, there was plenty of space for our family to roam without bumping into other people. There was also a stand selling grilled corn. And, there were plenty of portopotties, with anti bac available. Our family had a nice time and took home enough peaches to spread around a few families. And it was a bargain compared to other farms we've been to. Sweet! Made the hour drive from Queens worth it.

I called in the morning. Recording stated there are peaches to pick but didn't specify which kind. Upon arrival, I find out only yellow peaches and nectarines available. White peaches and donut peaches available for purchase only at the table. $20 for 1-3 persons but we had 4 people ( including 2 kids) got in no problem. The admission included 7 lb of fruit. Anything extra was $2.85 per pound. Tree rows are numbered. We were told to pick between number 35 to 46. We didn't see many peaches but we saw lots of nectarines. We saw other trees full of peaches but they were blocked and supervised by staff. We ended up getting over 10 lb of fruit and paid extra. Got some donut peaches for $8, about 6 of them in a small basket. There were stands selling corn on a cob, lemonade, snow cones, popcorn and ice cream from a truck. No other children activities. Spanish is the language there even the sign was written in Spanish. The ladies at the cashier spoke English. Not a five star because the phone recording didn't specify what kind of peaches available. I especially love the donut peaches which was available last weekend but not this time. Also I didn't see many peaches on trees. Many were picked already or fallen on the ground, giving out some rotten fruity smell.

I sampled some of the available apples and they were not that sweet but I had already paid for the box ($67 for one peck) so I just picked the ones that were ok. I also picked lots of string beans, so it wasn't a complete waste. I was told it was a rip off but I enjoyed the experience. Fast forward a few days and now the apples are very sweet and crisp! Better than what you get at the supermarket for sure. The green beans are also fresh and not like the mushy bags you get at Trader Joe's. There's nothing like farm to table. They also have a nice bakery with excellent cheese bread and pies. Very fresh and warm when we bought them. The location is closer to Nassau and Manhattan than other farms on Long Island. We wanted to go to Milk Pail but it was a longer drive.

I was also lucky enough to score some apple cider from one of the other local farms that was being sold here and some homemade cider donuts! I love that the owners share their venue with other local vendors. For example, they also sold homemade mozzarella and farm fresh eggs from other farmers!
