One of Montgomery county public library that has not been renovated yet. However, I love to come here for children story time. Never too crowded. I also appreciate how senior volunteer still very active and get along with young readers in children story time. They always creative with the song and movement, activities and of course give kids positive activity to do in a cold winter weather like today.

Here is a view from the quiet room at Davis. These kids are so incredibly cute, but so noisy and distracting...

There are a lot of people of all ages and demographics, which I personally really liked. The Wi-Fi speed was actually really good which kind of surprised me! I personally wish there was a little café on the inside of the library but because it's so small and there are other places to eat in proximity, I'll let it slide. The parking is cheap In my opinion. Someone said a dollar an hour is expensive but I thought it was fine. Of course I'd rather not have to pay for parking in the library, but given that this is in downtown Bethesda, they probably want to prevent people from parking here to do other things (?). I didn't go to the bathroom so I can't speak on the cleanliness of them. There was someone who had drank alcohol in the library and had an open bottle and the librarians were quick to remove him from the premises and they did so with grace. I don't think that should impact the library rating itself because the library did what It should've done. Minus one star for having to pay for parking, no food on the inside, slightly limited tables, and not allowing eating on the inside.

I am obsessed with this library! The moco library app is super easy to use. Although their website…read moreis really impressive, and to be honest, I don't really understand what Alex C has posted. "Math is hard. Let's make cookies for the boys," as Malibu Stacy says. The library is on the campus of the National Institutes of Health. I used to come here often when I worked for a software company that had one of the institutes as a client. NIH would hold what they called "Tabletops" which were events were commercial and government companies could come show their wares on a teeny tiny table. Those "exhibits" were at the library. The library itself contains the most and largest selection of research materials on the subjects of bio medicine and health care. This building also hosts exhibits like the one going on there now, which is an in depth look at forensic science. Why watch another episode of CSI when you can go here and see that kind of stuff up close and personal. Or not.

I never had a single one of my khan academy videos give me the "loading" signal. I'm military so they gracefully granted me a card even though I don't have a state address but i feel compelled to say usually there is a 10$ out of state fee. The only thing bad I can say about this location is that it was hot the first time I went (like 90+ outside) and it smelled a little stale inside. It's not THE MOST beautiful high tech library I've ever seen but honestly if it was it wouldn't be so welcoming.

On my last visit I arrived shortly after 10am on a Tuesday morning (when their website said they opened) and there was already a crowd of ladies with their toddlers and preschoolers waiting for the stories and songs to begin. That would be okay if they stayed in the children's section, but no, once that class was filled the ones that decided to hang out for the 11:00 toddler time class just set their charges free in the rest of the library. Since the public libraries don't carry professional periodicals and journals I needed to do some online research. This library has several web-connected computers to use, only they are out in the open, not in a private room. The problem with that is when a nanny decides to leave her baby stroller (with baby intact) parked behind you while she peruses the chic lit, it can get annoying, especially if the toddler is calling out to deaf ears. As for the library itself, it does its job: lend books. It is easy to get to (not by Metro) and has plenty of free parking.

To me, that's everything I need/want in a good study space. This library is also much less crowded than Bethesda library and quieter too; Bethesda library puts their quiet study room next to their collaboration rooms, resulting in a quiet study room that is not actually that quiet. The only reason I'm withholding the fifth star is the hours. They've recently extended their hours so they're open until 8 Monday-Thursday, but Friday/Saturday hours are more limited; only open until 6 and closed entirely on Sundays. This forces me to go to Bethesda library or an area college library if I want to have a long study session on the weekend.

There is ample seating areas for you to sit and read to your little one as well as 2 computers where your little ones can play educational games such as Dora the Explorer. My little one seems to really enjoy coming to this library because it's typically less crowded than the other ones in the area.
