The admission tickets are so cheap. There's a small gift shop as you enter and start your tour. The overall place isn't as big as you think, you can fly by everything without reading within 20-30mins, but if you wanna stop and read everything then prepare to be there for over an hour. There's a lot of awesome materials and display. I was also told that all the tanks on display are actually operational and every so often are driven outside during events. Definitely recommend to experience this with the family. Lots of cool souvenirs in the gift shop to take home. The staff member is super nice and informational. They give discount to current and former military. The parking is huge so you shouldn't have a problem finding a stall.

We went out to wolf pen creek on Friday, the opening night about two hours after it started. A major disappointment. There were about five food trucks set up that resembled a county fair (deep fried oreos, deep fried twinkles, deep fried candy bars, etc.) and that was it for food. No booths or displays were set up yet, they must have been waiting for Saturday. The only thing going on was a "salsa" dance lesson. If you check it out, don't waste your time on going the first night.

Normally our trip is after the time change and did catch the course in a seasonal sanding but the conditions of the greens even with sand made for quite a challenge. The rooms are 6 star and the food is comparable. Wine list is excellent and well stocked (no shortage off '07 Silver Oak Cab). Caddies were a new component and not experienced but most of us had played the course so was not an issue. The course has 3 five pars and 3 par 3's on front side. Great course for gamblers and fair to the shorter hitters. Clubhouse is off the charts, locker rooms are the best ever and the staff is not in a hurry or overworked. We were the only foursomes on the course the two days we were there except the A&M golf team. Possibly the best golf/dining/lodging experience ever and certainly anywhere in Texas.
