Gutters are aluminum and last many years. Their workmanship is also questionable also. Two men arrived one spoke broken English the other didn't understand. Our dogs let us know when they came, no knock, no warning, just started tearing off our old gutter. I found litter from the install. My wife and I are a couple months shy of 80 and both on disability. I am a disabled veteran, and we had to spend our saving to pay for this product. We are planning for our afterlife expenses to save our children from having to plan it. All I wanted them to do was repair one area of gutter on our shop. The salesperson, Jonathan, came by to inspect and let us know about the repair. He strongly suggested that we replace all of our gutters. I have told myself many years ago that when I got older, don't fall into a scam. He quoted us a number of estimates and pushed for closure. I fell for the trap. We were quoted $5200 for 179 linear feet of 5" gutter with 6 downspouts. Then I contacted the company and they forwarded me to a Mr. Youngblood in Florida. I told him that I was unhappy with the overall experience with them. His response they were an Owens Corning platinum Preferred Contractor earned by .03 percent of contractors nationwide. Whoop ti do. That their pricing reflects the premium materials and expert service that comes with this certification. He also stated that the lower price may feel like the better choice in the moment, and not always the best long-term value. This is our forever home; we take pride in keeping it up. Don't need his rhetoric and continued sales pitch. They do not provide hard copies of each transaction, they are paperless. No more communication just kicked me to the curb. This company is a company of lies, cheating and stealing from the start and to the finish. No character, no remorse, all they want is your money, no matter how they get it. They scammed my wife and me. I would not ever, ever recommend this company for any repairs or installs. I highly recommend that anyone wanting work done, us local credible installers. Also, their warrantees are useless, boring dribble. Aluminum lasts a long time, workmanship you get what they provide and service, BAH, is covered up with deceit. All I wanted them to do is help with a refund from the extreme cost they put on us. DO NOT USE Home Genius Exteriors they really don't care about you; they care about their line of cut succession. SHAME ON THEM.

Oh, and if you schedule an appointment today they'll knock off 50%. (So if I decide tomorrow you'll literally charge me twice as much? Really!?) Whole thing is suspicious. Not professional and definitely pushy. Anyone trying that hard to get your business is desperate. Really good home services companies are so busy they don't need to solicit and use high-pressure tactics. Pick anyone except Home Genius Exteriors Greenville!

It started with the initial appointment where I had moved several of my patient appointments around to accommodate and make things work. They showed up much earlier than expected without notice and I had to move my first patient again, fortunately the patient was understanding. The person had my address wrong but I corrected it and they came. No big deal. From then on it's been one thing after another. The tarp I had placed before was rolling up in one spot after the visit. I called that Saturday and left a voicemail. No response but I get it, it's the weekend. I called again later that week, was told they might have space Friday. I ask them to correct the address again as they are still working on the estimate. Initially I was told the estimate would be faster but I get it, a lot of moving parts. Did not hear back on the tarp. Meanwhile I am working on getting them to coordinate with insurance. Somehow the wrong address and my name spelled incorrectly are sent to State Farm. At this point I'm a little frustrated, but they correct it and send. I ask about the tarp again the next week. I'm told it will be $350-$750 to install even though I already have one. They show up the next morning at 7:55am and start ringing my doorbell without confirming whether or not I will owe or that they are coming. I'm exhausted as I work irregular hours. They state on the phone there will be no charge. After they are on the roof for an hour I receive a call stating it is not due to them pulling it back and they will have to charge. The part of concern is untouched. Honestly, combined with the poor communication and a general sense that they do not want to be bothered I would not recommend them. They have not attempted to schedule with me, gone over payment options or done anything to prevent further damage. It's hard enough doing everything on your own, juggling insurance companies and dealing with repairs to have to deal with this kind of service on top. I decided I am going to start over with someone else and call to let them know. She demonstrated no concerns, no requests for feedback on what could have been done better, nothing. If I had this kind of behavior at my job I would not have a job for long. It isn't easy this far along in the process to start over, but I see no reason to continue. I'm not sure how they have this many good reviews, but that was certainly not my experience. I would recommend looking elsewhere. Gilstrap markets itself on values held since 1935, but those values either seem to apply selectively or are no longer in practice. Many of their clients appear to own multiple properties -- if you are an average person with a single home and *ONLY* a smaller job, don't expect to be treated like a priority.

When we bought our home 6 years ago, we knew we would have to replace all of the back windows as they were original to the home and beginning to rot. What we didn't know was that the front windows were almost worse than the others even though they were relatively new. These Renewal by Anderson windows were horribly difficult to open, installed extremely poorly, and terribly inefficient as far as heating and cooling were concerned. Our salesman, Charley, was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was very patient, listened attentively and described every aspect of the job ahead. He helped us to choose the best options for our situation and we were pleasantly surprised that this project would cost less than we anticipated. Although we already trusted Taylors, Charley made us feel even more confident in our decision. Installation took 3 days due to the size of the project and number of windows. The crew was incredible all around. Super nice guys who barely stopped working even for a short lunch break. These men were so polite, courteous and clearly proud of the work they were doing. This wasn't a one and done crew. This was a crew of professionals who are craftsmen, and the end result shows. They did an outstanding job and we honestly can't say enough about how nice it was to have them here for those three days. We were dreading the install and it ended up being so much easier than anticipated because of the professionalism of this team. The windows themselves are amazing. We have already noticed that our home is no longer drafty, insects aren't creeping in around windows anymore and quiet - oh my goodness, who knew windows could make such a difference. We can barely hear road noise anymore despite our busy location. We are really looking forward to seeing the energy savings. If you are in need of new windows in your home, look no further than Taylors. You are not going to find anyone cheaper for a quality product and professionally done install. As I stated earlier, previous owner used Renewal by Anderson and those windows cost them more than we spent with Taylors. Shamefully, those windows were total garbage and we are so happy to have them replaced with new Taylors windows. All in all a terrific experience with this company, even better than expected. Thank you Charley, Vlad and crew and everyone who was a part of this. Our community is blessed to have Taylors!
