VERY happy with Allcon. We had a big project with installing a metal roof then solar panels with a…read moreseparate company. The re-roofing (we replaced asphalt shingles) was the most important part because the roof replacement had to be finished before the solar install could start. And we had to finish the solar panels quickly to qualify for the solar tax credit. Kristin Wellwood, the Allcon project manager, was incredibly helpful. First, we discussed roof options from all aspects, including cost, timing, longevity, and use with solar. Then we performed the necessary design reviews that went into applying to our strict homeowner association. Kristin did a great job of dealing with the association and getting the approval in a short time. She also coordinated well with the solar company. Next, the roofing team took over. They worked long hours in sometimes non-ideal weather to finish the work in time for the solar company to complete their work. Punchlist and follow-up we finished without argument. Kristin was also helpful in areas related to roofing but not directly. She pointed out a couple of construction fixes that we ended up doing outside of Allcon's responsibility. She also helped with work we needed done on our gutters (separate review: Allcon's sub for gutter work, Byers Gutter and Repair, did a great job). Allcon's price was not the lowest. But the headaches we saved in using them was well worth the extra cost. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ALLCON.

I had a dream; I wanted to restore the home I grew up in…read more So many memories so much love. But there was a problem this house is seventy years old. I did not know where to even start. Could it even be restored? The roof was leaking and siding battered and barely hanging on. Evidence of rotted wood everywhere. Ruvim from Edge Roofing came to the house from our first meeting I was so impressed with his knowledge and patience in answering all my questions. He grabbed his ladder and was up on the roof with tape measure in hand. (No other company I talked to even brought a ladder.) I had a quote in my hand before he left my driveway. (I was told by other companies they would need to crunch some numbers and get back to me) He assured me he could restore life back into this old house. He is a man of his word! I cannot tell you what a joy it was working with Ruvim and his Crew. Everything from helping me pick out colors for the roof and siding that he also installed to reaching out to me the entire project with pictures and updates. Always quick to respond to my text or phone call. Believe me with a 70-year-old house you are going to have unknown issues to deal with. You must be resilient and they were. They met all the challenges with detail to workmanship. All the materials used is top quality and out of all quotes I received Edge Roofing was the most reasonable. I am forever grateful to Edge Roofing, Ruvim, and his crew for helping to make my dream a reality.

The workers were a bit disrespectful of property and us with a language barrier. My husband had to go on the roof and fix it. Additionally we had a leak and stain on the ceiling. After contact the owner said he'd send someone. Several days later a Spanish speaking young man came to the door. Couldn't understand much. I asked to have him look at the inside damage. He was hesitant. Then he checked the roof and indicated in his broken English there was an issue. He told my husband it was Too Hot outside to fix it. What???? And we have never seen or heard from them again. Ryan advised me that he saw enough hail damage to file an insurance claim for total replacement ($14,000) but that if it was denied, he could fix a bunch of "trouble spots" for about $2500. Hmmm! In addition, I grew suspect because they appear so new that they don't show up on Google with an office location and NO Google reviews. Just a website. Their only Yelp review is from someone in California who is probably a "hired' review (how would a Californian know about a SC roofer). Also a little suspicious. Bottom line - you probably want to go with someone else.
