She encouraged me to accept an extremely one-sided settlement: minimal child support and alimony, no back pay, and no share of funds my ex withdrew from our accounts or retirement. Despite having strong evidence (including video of infidelity), she repeatedly dismissed its relevance and downplayed my concerns. She also failed to properly investigate significant financial discrepancies--over $60,000 in unexplained income on my ex's bank statements. I left mediation feeling blindsided, unsupported, and trapped. I called immediately afterward trying to withdraw my consent to the agreement, but was told I could not. Looking back, I wish I had a stronger advocate--someone who understood my situation and fought for a truly fair outcome.
