My experiences (I've had two separate legal issues) with John Davis and the great team at Davis & Davis have been so excellent, I couldn't feel more fortunate that I placed a call to them. Before calling John, I was being represented by an attorney that a friend recommended, and it was an absolute nightmare; I called John's office, gave him the rundown, and he had me come straight in to speak with him. He started working on my case that very day, and within two weeks he'd gotten 10000x further than the other attorney had in over a year. He is honest, VERY dogged, incredibly responsive, and he's like a walking caselaw encyclopedia. He is delicate with sensitive issues but, importantly, up-front and will give you the facts without sugar-coating. He'll advocate for you like no one else. He's a bulldog. The staff are excellent as well;; I will almost miss going to the office. I couldn't be recommend him more vehemently. Don't spend time looking elsewhere, you want to be in their hands. read more

They never gave up, never surrendered, went above and beyond in finding industry professionals to bolster our case. The case finally settled for way more than I ever expected. Wish I could rate it ZERO stars. I booked a consult appointment and was willing to pay for the $300 CONSULT FEE EVEN THOU most ATTORNEYS GIVE A COMPLIMENTARY CONSULTATION. I met with one of the partners (the wife Patty) and told her my story. I spoke for an hour pouring my heart out about my long term marriage and wanted to know what happens next. She told me she would tell me what some next steps would be. I asked her to please email me the steps since I was over whelmed with emotion. She never did and then ghosted me for about 6 weeks after. Then all of a sudden I got an invoice showing her rates and that I should pay a $7500 retainer to get any further advise. She lied to me as she had told me during the consult that she would outline what happens in a divorce since I have never had one and didn't know what to expect. This is what the $300 consult fee was for yet she refused to tell me anything. I felt like it was a therapy session since all that happened was me tell her about my marriage. She said nothing the whole time and gave me zero feedback during the consult. What a waste of time. DO NOT CALL THIS FIRM unless you want to just vent and get ripped off. read more

As I was interviewing various firms, John was the only person who proactively gave me pointers on what to look for/what questions to ask as I'm considering my options. I really don't even want to give 1 star. I contacted Davis & Davis through their website on 6/28 requesting a consultation and never received any response. After waiting 2 weeks, I called and left a message. I received a call back from Shawna on 7/16. I explained, in detail, my situation. She said she would speak with the attorneys and someone would get back to me. Not hearing from anyone after a week, I called again on 7/22 and again she told me she would speak with the attorneys and someone would reach out to me. Three weeks have gone by and I have received absolutely no phone call or email. I thought to call again but decided that this is not the type of firm I would want to represent me. read more
