Front desk, she was wrapped up in a blanket(it was cold) but she was attentive.. Git to her feet immediately and welcomed me to the gym. I had questions about membership, she had basic information and suggested I speak with sales. At least she had basic info... I ve been to a gym (which shall not be mentioned) where the front line (front desk) service is not what one would expect. Equipment for the most part was working and the gym felt VERY clean. No duct tape holing equipment seats together. Classes- I have not attended any, but I am familiar with the instructors and they all are amazing. (Dalys, Stephanie, and Jamine) Ohhh chil I had to get outta there, me and my phone were melting. You may be able to find them on Facebook and Instagram. LA fitness provides multiple locations in my city, which is convenient and does not give me an excuse for not going. They also have multiple locations throughout the US - from Cali to Pr. I'm in Orlando and Chicago often and having multiple gyms in those cities is amazing (again, not excuse for not getting in there) Locker room- as I was coming in there was a cleaner, locker room is clean. The sauna was hot, ready, and CLEAN!!!!!!. Lots of space, there are upper benches so many can fit inside. It was very quiet this morning and having it to myself was great.

From walking in, I could already see how massive the place was and how much different equipment they had to offer. I went during a busy period and there was still plenty of equipment to choose from. Comparing to other gyms that I go to, they have different equipment that I didn't see at competitor gyms. There is a basketball court and comparing to other gyms, their boxing area offers more. I tried their infrared sauna as that was another option that I didn't see at other gyms. With how big the place is, how many people, and ongoing classes, it can be quite loud. It gave me opportunity to test and see how good my headphones noise canceling option is. I would consider joining as there are locations nationwide and several international locations. There's three different membership options with an annual fee if you're budgeting and thinking about pricing. They are not 24 hours so that is an option to consider for someone like me as I like going during afternoons and evenings. The reasons I have to consider weighing my options is that I already have two different gym memberships to 24 hour location gyms. For me, the drive to the location is also a factor.

I would like to preface this review by saying I love orange theory and have been going for YEARS. I was a founding member of this studio and used to go every single day. I became pregnant 7/2022 and was able to go minimally up until 2/2/2023 when I could no longer go because my belly was so big and the doctors were scared he was IUGR. I was generous to the studio to ask to put a freeze on my account starting in April as baby was due April 4th (still was charged $15 a month even though I was originally told no charge). On 5/30/2023 my freeze ended. From the date of my baby's birth (April 4) to literally now I have barely had a second to breathe let alone think of my orange theory membership. I had a very hard birth and my baby was very high needs with colic and reflux and would cry 24/7. I finally was able to remember to call to cancel my membership 6/12/2023 but I was 4 days late past the 30 day policy. I sent an email asking how many more times I would be charged and when my last day of classes would be and my email was never returned. I called the studio asked for forgiveness from ONLY this last payment seeing as I was only 4 days late, a new mom who was still in June experiencing birth complications (scar tissue that had to be burned out from inside of me) with a high needs baby and on top of that postpartum anxiety and depression. I even offered to get a doctors note or provide them with my medical notes. They said it did not matter to them the reason that they had to continue with corporates policy. Absolutely no support for postpartum mothers after being a member for years. They can see I haven't been there since February and offered me 10 free classes.. my baby is high needs I can not come!!! What if you were injured in an accident and could not cancel no medical notes are accepted! Beware at all costs!!!!! I would proudly tell anyone to join but not after this! They are all privately owned! Whatever happened to decency and doing the right thing! (I also told them I would be leaving a review and I was told by the studio to post it)

There is also a hydromassage and tanning for premium membership ($25/month). And the great thing about all Workout Anytime gyms is that they give 7 days trial membership! Another great thing is that you have access to all Workout Anytime locations with the basic membership! Parking isn't a problem because the parking lot is spacious. Once entered, you are greeted with a smile. The staff are very friendly and nice. The equipments and bathroom are clean. Like most gyms, some people do not wipe the equipments. However, the staff at this gym make sure the equipments are clean and disinfected. My only concern is how small this gym is. It gets very busy between 4 PM - 7 PM and waiting on the equipments can be frustrating and time-consuming. The Oakleaf community is expanding; there is a need for bigger gym to accommodate large # of people. Overall, this gym is great. It's worth a visit and will fulfill your needs. I saw people in the center but no one came to the door. I called my granddaughter who had been there before and asked her how to do it. She said pull up your account and scan your ID under the scanner -located off to the right (not visible unless you are looking for it). I was trying to do that when a person came to the door and was snappy with me telling me that I needed to add it to my apple wallet. I did, she closed the door and left me to scan in. I scanned in and walked in to see several people that had been watching me struggle to get in. Definitely not a friendly welcome. I went and did Cardio - the place appears dirty, ventilation is poor which leads to a bad smell. Treadmills are older. I never made it to the weight area. It looked like they had what you would need. I might have been jaded after my warm welcome and spoiled after being a member of the Y. I changed due to location but will be changing back.

My family and I have been Y members for nearly 3 years until just a couple of weeks ago when we…read moremoved away. I unequivocally and 100% recommend the Y for a family. Staff are all generally all helpful. Front door staff try to be quick. The service desk can be quick, but lines do occur since there is generally only one or two people working it. The KidZone staff are the true gems of the Y. My daughter loved all the caring folks who watched her daily for a couple of hours while we worked out. I cannot tell you how great they are. I never used the training staff, but they were helpful when needed. The one staff member that completely sucks is the skinnier old guy with the grey beard. That guy has the ick and tried to shoo me away from equipment when I was working out on it just because he wanted it. I politely let him know the equipment would be available when I finished. The Y activities for our daughter were really great. During our time at the Y we participated in an Easter Event, Daddy Daughter Dance, Wellness Days, Christmas events, and more. This really helped us feel part of the community and I made some great adult friends. The programming staff are stars at their job. The indoor pool is amazing. My daughter went from zero swimming skills to being completely able to swim alone at 3.5 years of age. The program pool is heated and made teaching our daughter how to swim a great experience. Parking can be difficult at the Y if you come in the afternoon. Saturday mornings were also another time you would want to avoid the parking situation. It would be great if they paved the other lot and added lines. It was the Wild West down there. Additionally, folks will dent your car and not care or leave a note. Parking here with a nice car is a big issue especially if you want to avoid dozens of small dents and chips. The actual weight lifting area is perfectly fine. If you are someone that likes classic weight lifting gyms, this really isn't the place to join. You can get a great workout in, but I found folks lacked gym etiquette knowledge. Same for the running track upstairs where there are running directions for each day. The amount of folks that cannot read directions is a bit appalling. Additional areas that are great are the full sized basketball court with 6 hoops and the playground outside. I found time to play basketball every week. The one downside is no basketball league for adults and unequal time given to basketball compared to other sports. I would have loved a volleyball drop in too. Considering how popular volleyball is in the area, it would have made sense to add. Overall, the Y is amazing. There are many great staff members and many great members that made coming here a wonderful experience.
