The woman (a manager?) who I asked was very abrupt, and stood way too close to me while grilling me, "What do you like about her???" ("Her" being the product I was inquiring about.) I answered that I was just there to try the scent for the first time, I just got an "oh." When I asked if they offered waxing, she said I could be accommodated and casually told something to an employee, but then she didn't come back or communicate to me where I should go to wait or to receive the service. She then went over to another employee where I could hear them having a personal conversation. I decided to leave and try another place. The discomfort I felt was too much, and the vibe was off.

She barked at me twice to hit "No" on the credit card reader before the option even appeared. Using a smartphone, she insisted that is what was in the system and shoved the phone in my face. Told me the item must have been in the wrong place. I told her it was with all the others if someone just looked at the shelf. She continued to argue and insist she was right. Flabbergasted, I asked just to take it off the order if that was easier, and kindly advised them to recheck their signage later. Total chip on the shoulder, wouldn't take off the item off my order. She continued to argue that this is the price with the most hostile glare at me. I finally told her to forget it and left with my heart pounding in distress. I don't even care about the $4 difference, it was the attitude. How can they hire people like this? Ulta is a completely nonessential business and I am happy to never deal with any of their rude staff ever again. I went home and ordered what I wanted off Amazon. (Event took place around 4:30pm Sunday, 11/3/2024 female cashier about 5'4 with dark hair). It's sad because this is a nice new well-stocked store but I will NEVER go back probably to any Ulta after this.

To demonstrate that the product works, we had to procure bundles of human hair, treat it with oils to mimic hair that needed to be shampooed and then spray with dry shampoo and the amount of oil removed calculated. This is a store owned by Asians and largely catering to the Ethnic Market. They do have a large selection of human hair and human hair with synthetic hair bundles along with a large selection of wigs. Small store but packed with loads of products. Staff is very helpful. Maybe with my thinning hair, I should consider going back.
