The repairs cost me $45, which is a very good deal because the other places I looked into were charging me $60+ for the same work. The service was prompt; I dropped it off on a Friday before Labor Day weekend and it was ready by Wednesday, just as he had promised. The leather soles were cracked on both shoes, cracked beyond repair. I thought he should just toss them (or chuck them - see what I did there). But...Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, so.... $45 bucks later and the chukka boots were brought back from the dead! This little wonder of a shop reconstructed them and they now have a whole new life.
