I ordered a tall pink and white arrangement on a Friday for our new baby girl in DC on Friday…read more Called the shop directly and talked with a pleasant gal, who happily took my order for $115.00 :0. Plus delivery fee. She informed me that the delivery could not be made until Tuesday, because of weekend and holiday.. I said ok but wanted to make sure the flowers were fresh and not sitting at their shop over this 3 day period. She assured me that they would be fresh. Flower arrived Tuesday, They looked nice but on Wednesday they began to fade. We trimmed them off and some recovered and most didn't. I called them and explained that it had only been three days and she said so sorry...I will have my customer person call you. Waited for a couple days and no call....Only an email, telling me they guarantee for 3 days and since it was past three days there was no guarantee. Picture clearly taken on night of day 3. She also mentioned that the vase was half full of water so they sucked up water, but again clearly all stems were 3-4 inches below water line....I didn't like the implication that it was our fault that the flowers had died and wilted but they would send a small desk set of flowers.. "sorry for the inconvenience" Instead of taking the high road, it felt like nothing but defense on their part and gee take this instead. Well for $115.00. I thought that was rude response and said nope. Probably going to fade quickly again. I explained that I would be writing a review and the attitude was go ahead..don't care. Now my guess is, they are going to try defend the attitude of their customer service person and say "she didn't want the consolation prize and to bad." which is the attitude I got from the email. I have a company and if I want repeat business and I see that something obviously looked wrong. I would try make that right by following through with a phone call instead of a email, after being promised a phone call. I looked at the reviews online before choosing Lee's.. Looked good, but this is my review. The flowers from Harris Teeter last over a week.. Hmmmmmm

The gentleman I spoke with was very clear that, because it was a last-minute order, they could only offer a "florist's choice" arrangement--which I was totally fine with. I emphasized that I'd be coordinating my visit with the delivery, and he assured me they'd notify me once the flowers were delivered. On Mother's Day, I showed up--and no flowers. I stayed with my mom for about 3-4 hours, and nothing ever arrived. I was never charged for the order (which was for a $250 florist's choice), but I also never received a call, explanation, or any kind of follow-up. Life got busy, and I didn't reach out afterward to ask what happened. Maybe they were overwhelmed or lost the order, but for a small business, it's surprising to see a $250 order just vanish without any communication. My mom thankfully didn't notice, but it was the first time in years there weren't flowers for her on Mother's Day. Unfortunately, I won't be using this florist again.

Only gave 4 stars because the arrangement didn't feel like it quite lived up to what the shop calls an "artisanal vase". The flowers looked a little ordinary, as if they came from Whole Foods. I thought that calling a local florist would be a better experience Vs using an online service. I asked for a beautiful arrangement with lots of flowers in various shades of pinks, purples and white. I spent $120 including the delivery. There are less than ten flowers, mostly babies breath and filler. The delivery person (door dash arranged by the shop) left the flowers with the concierge with a first name only. No last name, no room number. When I called the hotel to check on the flowers they said "yes we have them but we had no idea who they were for". I called the shop to tell them and they said sorry and were very nice. They said that the full name and room number were inside the envelope. But the driver didn't tell them that. I do not recommend this shop at all. Mostly because of the arrangement they sent. But they also need a different delivery service. They should have told me that a $95 arrangement is not a nice arrangement.
