This place epitomizes "ghetto" since everyone's behind a glass booth, it was always ungodly hot in there during the summer and I typically had to wait in line for service. The place closes at 9:45 p.m., not 10 as they claim on their door. I went here yesterday to attempt to send some money via Western Union & arrived around 9:50. The girl behind the glass booth refused to serve me & the front door was already locked, despite the lights still being on. I waited to be acknowledged & despite it being 9:50, this chick refused. I did a hand gesture to signal the current time & it didn't faze her. She decided to turn out all the lights while I was still standing there! Then, she pulls down the gate and is standing outside with the entire building locked up. My watch at that time said it was 9:55. I called the manager today (Jennifer), who defended this employee & didn't care that it's false advertising to claim you close at 10 when a customer can't actually GET ANY SERVICE AT ALL 10 minutes before the posted closing time. My transaction would have taken less than 5 minutes. I know when I worked in retail, that mess didn't fly so why should this business be allowed to deceive the public? This sums up my general experience with Ridgewood businesses & why I will only patronize a handful of them. Apparently though, they do have a 24 hour location 2 blocks away.

Haven't had any issues except once they misspelled some information but fixed it as soon as i told…read morethem. They are 24hrs so that is awesome. Only 4 instead of 5 stars because the tellers aren't always that friendly though not outright rude either. Also, i have went there over half a dozen times before they finally told me i don't have to fill out the form with every visit and that i can just tell them my number. As many times as i have sent money i would also think i would have more points but they don't seem to add all the time. Not sure though if this is the location issue or just with western union itself. Don't know if teller is supposed to input some info for me to get the points. Anyhow it is one of very few places opened 24hrs. They do have an atm inside. They sell metrocards. It's right near the q72 and q58 bus stops. Local or express.

Now it's just a long receipt print out. The most important thing about their western union service, they don't blow it like many other places. At other western union spots, they frequently make a mistake on the recipient or sender's information and to have them correct it is a freakin bitch. The usual people work at Sunrise and they get the job done right.

They ask for ID, then scan it without telling you and take all of your information. I asked for it to be deleted and the person behind the counter said he can not. Even if you decide not to purchase a money order, they still can't/wont delete your Information.
