Only 4 instead of 5 stars because the tellers aren't always that friendly though not outright rude either. Also, i have went there over half a dozen times before they finally told me i don't have to fill out the form with every visit and that i can just tell them my number. As many times as i have sent money i would also think i would have more points but they don't seem to add all the time. Not sure though if this is the location issue or just with western union itself. Don't know if teller is supposed to input some info for me to get the points. Anyhow it is one of very few places opened 24hrs. They do have an atm inside. They sell metrocards. It's right near the q72 and q58 bus stops. Local or express.

She was very rude and said that we could exchange the money at the bank. I would have totally understood if they bills were actually wrinkled or torn but they were not, look at the pics for yourself. There is usually only one teller, but sometimes there are two. Both lines are unorganized, and instead of one line being for quick cashing and money orders and one being for bill paying and sending money to other countries, they are both for everything. Which means if you want your check cashed (which takes 30 seconds), you will probably have to wait 45 minutes because of the person in front of you sending money to a far away country. Whatever. That's annoying enough, but all the tellers have attitude as well. One woman is an absolute joke, she's so ridiculous. I'll be waiting there, staring at her, and she'll walk away from her booth to Facetime someone whom I assume is her kid because of the baby noises she loudly makes while staring and smiling at her screen. She's ALWAYS on the phone, making personal calls. She will legit ignore everyone on line (this is when she's the only teller) to be on the phone. Then there's this young kid, whose a total douchebag. Once I went to cash my check, and my job wrapped the checks in so much paper that I accidentally ripped off a tiny bit of the corner. No numbers were damaged or anything. He refused to cash my check because he said it could have been fake? Even though he legit WATCHED me open it, and he even admitted to watching me open it and "seeing my struggle with it". I really needed the money, and he was being really rude and accusing me of things that he knows damn well aren't true (I used to go there weekly!) so I stormed out and called another CSFC to speak to a more competent worker. The woman on the phone assured me it should be no problem at all, and gave me her name and number and told me to call the manager of the store. I was too upset to be civil, and I didn't want to get this kid fired, so I went back and explained the situation, and made him call his manager. Rolling his eyes, he called, and guess. what. his. manager. said?!!!! "You can just type the check in if the scanner doesn't want to accept it for some reason." LOL L O L L O L So an hour later, after elevating my stress levels to severe extremities, he handed me the money. I apologized to him for being problematic, and he rudely brushed me off- not really accepting it OR apologizing back to me. I have never and will never be back to this horrible place. It seems like the manager has no idea what's going on in his business, so I'm coming here in hopes that he will see this and enforce customer service on his staff. Or just, hire better people? I now go to the cash checking place under the train on 30th avenue. Much more organized, faster, and better.

Now it's just a long receipt print out. The most important thing about their western union service, they don't blow it like many other places. At other western union spots, they frequently make a mistake on the recipient or sender's information and to have them correct it is a freakin bitch. The usual people work at Sunrise and they get the job done right.

I found that to be very rude & unethical because there's personal information on that check & you're placing a call about it & not even mention to me after, why that call was placed. She then ask me if the company is open to verify the check, which it was after 5pm, what business particularly in the payroll department would be available during a weekday after 5pm?!?! I proceeded to tell her, "no, it's after 5 & give me the check". I don't cash checks often, in fact hardly ever (I just deposit them in my account) however it was a check from a union & if the check passed through the reader successfully, you see I have been to a pay-o-matic before & never had a problem with a check, I just didn't understand all this additional verification.
