The location was actually pretty easy to find after receiving an email from someone letting us know the day before the location had changed. The class I will say was informative and definitely what someone with no experience should look into. For me personally this was very basic of stuff I am already aware of but found it helpful either way being I had an instructor right in front to ask questions. I recently attended NPPE's second expedition this year into the Mojave National Preserve and was…read moreabsolutely thrilled with the entire trip! Our guide and instructor took our small group into places I never would have imagined inside the Preserve. While I was expecting to have a little bit of our time focused on the educational aspects of post-production, it turned out that we were split our time about 50-50 between editing and going out into the field and taking photos which was perfect for me. The small class size provided ample one-on-one mentoring with a certified instructor who was able to teach us many of the best-practices on image handling and post processing. Not only did I come back with some great images to send to the print shop and share with my family and friends on social media, but I returned with new editing skills and a fresh workflow combining LightRoom with Photoshop. Simply put it was an amazing trip, I learned more in 5 days than I had in the last year of taking classes and weekend workshops. The whole experience was customized to the needs of the group, starting with the phone calls before the trip to discuss what I wanted to accomplish, through adjusting the schedule while we were in the Preserve, and the follow-up calls afterwords. Small group size, 1 on 1 mentoring, trip tailored to the individual needs and desires of our group, instructor knew the area extremely well including knowing what time of day to be where to capture the right light on the scenes. Still riding the photo high from a trip that ended a month ago. Can't wait to attend my next expedition, probably one of the Utah trips whether it's Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, or Grand Staircase-Escalante. I…read moreinitially had my headshots taken some years back at Ziba and kept that one throughout they years --that is how good it was. When I left my firm for another and had to take the pictures again but at a different studio, they came out so horrible that I refused to post my face on the firm's profile unless they agreed to use my Ziba photo, which they did. Due to circumstances, I am back with my old firm as of May and luckily they still work with Ziba and I just did my headshots again - absolutely perfect job. Highly recommend them.

Like most…read moreteens today, my daughter has only really used her iPhone to take photos, but got very interested in real cameras after a fashion internship. Jamie arrived with her Canon DSLR and a full complement of lenses, and proceeded to show my daughter the difference between the lenses, what you achieve by using them, and how to operate a real camera that has a world of settings and possibilities. Jamie was friendly, gregarious, open and welcoming, and she held my daughter's attention for the full 2 hours of the lesson. Her website says she also holds group lessons, and I have to imagine those would be great as well. I didn't use Jamie's services as a photographer, so I can't really speak to her work as such, but based on our experience with her, Jamie will be my first call when I do need a photographer -- I have to imagine she handles a crowd well, and maneuvers adeptly through an event... hearing what she said to my daughter about what to shoot, when and how, I trust her instincts and I'm certain her work will be superior.
