I made an appointment at David's Bridal hoping to walk out with the perfect dress because my wedding is in 20 days. I left this store with my head spinning. I found the perfect dress and accessories to go with it! My shopping experience was wonderful. My consultant Jamie was extremely helpful and attentive. I went dress shopping alone and felt awkward but she was so sweet and had very good taste. I was about to settle for a tea length gown that looked great on me and she suggested that I try an Oleg Cassini that was the same style and length. As soon as I saw myself in the dress I just knew that it was "the one". It was very quick and easy to do the 6 months no interest financing for everything I needed. I'm so happy about my purchase at David's Bridal I can't stop smiling. read more

Consistency in their exchanges. One day yes you can exchange. Two days later nope sorry we changed our exchange policy. Too bad! I love my MOB dress but was needing something less restrictive. I have custody of our granddaughter and need to be able to sprint. I have sunk over 2,000 in dresses and alterations into this store in the past 10 months; you would think they would have consideration for a loyal customer. Spend a little more and take your business elsewhere. read more

David's Bridal - The dress. Now Im trying to sale it. Its in perfect condition - Bridal Near Me - Evansville, Indiana

If I could leave zero stars I would. If you don't have an appointment (even if the store isn't busy) be prepared to be treated like pond scum. I understand having appointments and if there wasn't anyone available to help us that's fine as well but when we walk in and ask and are told yes you can shop I don't expect to be treated any differently. The sales gal who "helped" us seemed to be highly annoyed we were there, and also did not appreciate our questions or when asked if any similar styles were in a different size told no without even the slightest effort to go look. No pedestal to stand on either was a huge disappointment. I'm so glad we left and went to a local bridal store that even without a prior appointment time brought us in and treated us amazing. We gladly spent our money there and will not ever go back or recommend anyone shop at David's bridal. read more

My fiance scheduled an appointment at 4:30 then asked if it was possible move it earlier, to which they said yes but afterwards they Were treated so rudely by staff and were talked badly about the entire time. They threw some dresses on the bank then went and he he haw hawed at the register while they ate ice cream cake. Super unwelcoming and unprofessional staff save your money go elsewhere read more

Beautiful dresses in most sizes. Service was good. I'm looking for a mother of the groom dress or pantsuits but not sure if my local David's is open anymore! read more

I purchased my wedding dress from here recently and had a great experience! Between the initial search, finding a dress, returning the first dress and ordering a new one after I had a change of heart, and finally getting the new dress altered and fitted, they were so kind and helpful! The dress turned out beautifully and I cannot wait to wear it to my wedding :) Everything was also very affordable and they had a great selection! read more

I bought my mother of the bride dress and it's a beautiful dress! They altered it for me and done a wonderful job on it! I'm very happy with it!! I bought my shoes there to and I love them too! read more

Amazing customer service! Sarah was exceptionally helpful. I needed a mother of the groom dress, and David's had the perfect thing. I found this dress while visiting relatives 3 hours away from my house. Sarah helped me order my size and have it sent to a David's Bridal closer to me. She even suggested I order 2 sizes because I was unsure of the fit. I only have to buy the one that fits. Perfect. read more

Sadly i'm not impressed at this location... again. I went to buy my Junior year prom dress a few years ago and it took me forever to find someone to even help me open up a dressing room. This time, I went to go try on wedding dresses due to the great pricing and possible buying experience. I am new to the wedding dress shopping world and was so excited to try some on and be treated like a bride! As stated before, I am not impressed. They told me, "we don't encourage you trying on our dresses unless you're going to buy." Which made me really discouraged because I just wanted to see what bridal dresses suited my body shape! You cannot go to a store just to buy something especially if you don't like how it looks on you after trying it on! Every other dress they wanted to put a veil on and i felt bad for saying no so I did let them however after the veil was then the belt and shoes and i was again, just looking! I was being sold on a wedding dress that I did not have time to even think about. Spending that much money on something takes time to think about and understand if you truly like it! I then asked if they had a pedestal I could stand on so the dress was not all scrunched up and they said no, however I looked around and there was possibly a room with a pedestal in it. I didn't want to ask since I just wanted to get out of there. However, if that was a room with a pedestal in it, i'm saddened they lied to me. Instead of going onto a pedestal they would rather have me in heels which you trip in and out of while taking off the dress. I understand these workers may be paid off of commission but this is no way to treat someone because you never know if they are going to come back and buy the dress or leave a bad review (and this is only a little of what happened)! TL;DR: I gave this shop two chances several years apart and I was disappointed both times I went. They are working for a possible commission instead of the interests of the bride/dress buyer. But make sure do not come here if you're just "trying on dresses" because they discourage that and will give you a hard time. read more

I always encountered extremely friendly salespeople & consultants with every trip I made to David's Bridal. My personal consultant even pointed out, when I unexpectedly liked bridesmaids' dresses on my girls that I didn't like when I saw them online, that I had done the same with my own dress. I didn't like it on the hanger, but I fell in love once I had it on. This was 3-4 months after I had ordered my dress. She was so astute! I had to exchange my dress for a smaller size closer to the wedding (hooray!) and I also made a return for a veil I ended up not liking, and both transactions went very smoothly. The alterations department was also friendly and helpful both times that I went. I think the facade and perhaps some of the interior of the store could use an upgrade, but obviously this isn't in the hands of any of the store employees. Other than that, rave reviews. I won't ever be needing another wedding dress, but I will certainly look forward to accompanying friends & family there in the future if the occasion ever arises! read more

David's Bridal - My Oleg Cassini gown, and David's Bridal veil & headpiece. September 2014. - Bridal Near Me - Evansville, Indiana

I am basing this review on the seamstress who altered my daughters wedding dress. David's Bridal is always crowded so I would start off by saying that you for sure need to make an appointment. They have a large selection and I would venture to say if you can't find something to wear for your event at David's then you probably are looking for a designer dress from a specialty boutique. I saw tons of bridal, mother-of-the-bride and bridesmaid's dresses in hundreds of styles and colors. They also carry a ton of formal dresses for other occasions. The seamstress who helped my daughter was very professional and obviously knew what she was doing. She pinned and re-pinned until she got it just right. She worked extra hard on the bustle. I appreciated her attention to detail and the fact that it was important to her that the dress look just right for the bride's special day. read more

If I could give a -10 I would! customer service was awful, kelsey took our dresses to a room and left us never came back, went to pay and she told us to sign up for diamond rewards so we did then she argued with us that we didn't get the discount, all while chomping on her gum! called the floor manager over who rolled her eyes at us was not helpful at all! all because we simply asked " I thought there was a discount for signing up" read more

They were really understaffed which left the consultants running around from Bride to bride. I'm not sure about other brides, but I didn't get the experience I was looking for because of this. I found a dress that I liked, but the experience turned me off and I didn't buy. We already had our bridesmaid appointment schedule, so they all shopped too. Same experience. The staff was nice, just spread too thin so it made it hard. Meh read more

We bought a formal dress last week and was told by the girl who checked us out that it would be free to have it altered since we bought the dress there. We went in tonight for the fitting after driving an hour and a half one way on a school night only to be told by the seamstress we owed 125.00 for the alterations. I said that is not right we were told it would be free. The manager was informed amd she said oh I know it was a new employee and it is not free but we can give you a 20.00 discount and not do the full alterations. I'm totally mad at this point. You would think she would have honored what was told to us when we purchased the dress. We will never go there again. This is the Evansville location. I advise anyone not to go there they do not honor what they tell you and she also said they could just tack the dress. NO THANKS one dance and it would come apart. This is for a 14 yr old girl who doesn't need the whole world to see what's under the dress. I would say if you wNt a cheap price same quality or better go to Amazon and pay for alterations. There are so many good seamstresse's that can do these and need money more than lying David's Bridal. They just lost a lot of business for treating us this poorly. read more

David's bridal on east side Evansville is the rudest bridal store I have been to, I you have special needs, or look like you have no money then they don't have time to deal with you. My soon to be sister in law experienced this today over the phone, her grandmother tried to make an appointment for her trying to explain her situation and how she has special problems and they flat out told her we don't have time to deal with someone who has special needs, and don't think they had anything for her. I also experienced this 2 years ago looking for a prom dress they were rude to me and completely ignored me. if you are a bridal store you need to make everyone feel special, brides, girls looking for prom dresses, even girls who might have problems, I will never shop there again read more

I went to this store twice, to pick out bridesmaids' dresses and to shop with my mom for her mother-of-the-bride dress, and the service was pretty bad both times. When I went the first time for the bridesmaid dresses, a couple weeks ago, I had made an appointment but they didn't have anyone scheduled to help me. The girl at the front desk told me to go ahead and look around, and let her know if I had any questions. Luckily, I had already looked at dresses online and knew what I was looking for. After I found the dresses I wanted, I let her know, and she took down my information and said she would put the dresses in the system so that my bridesmaids could go to their closest store and find them. The next day I got an email from David's asking me to reschedule my appointment, so evidently the store never checked their system or checked me in or anything. Today I got a text from one of my girls that the store in her city didn't find any dresses under my name in the system - so this store never put the info into the computer. The second time I went, last weekend to shop with my mom, we walked in and found a couple of dresses that my mom wanted to try on. We went to the front desk and asked if we could get a dressing room. The girl at the desk said she couldn't let us in but would get the girl who could. She said something into a walkie talkie, then ignored us for the next 10 minutes while nothing happened. We were about to walk out when someone who I think was the manager noticed we were still waiting and brought us to a room, saying she'd send the consultant over right away. After my mom had tried both dresses on we still hadn't seen or heard from anyone, so we just left. Basically, everyone at this store is just terrible at their job. read more

Only place that had a dress to fit my large chest for prom. They had 2 a discounted discontinued itchy dress made of what looked like curtains and the gorgeous one I got. The price was insane though so that's why I only give it 3 stars read more

A couple of my bridesmaids and I had an appointment so they could try on the few dresses I had previously picked out. Our consultant, Loni, was great and extremely helpful. Our experience took a turn for the worse whenever we were handed of to the cashier to check out. Loni had told us there were financing options available and we could make monthly payments. So we asked the very rude, gray-haired, middle-aged male cashier about our options, he said "Payment in full unless you do layaway, in which case the dress had to physically be in the store first." We were like, ok, A)What does that even mean? and B)That's not what Loni was saying just 2 minutes prior. So can we get Loni back over here? Loni came over and explained that the payment plan would be the David's credit card with no interest for x amount of months. The guy cashier was so incredibly rude during this time, like as if to prove us wrong, when all along we didn't understand what he was saying and he could have explained it to us. He is extremely lacking in the customer service department. My blood was boiling when I left and I am having serious second thoughts about giving a company that employs such a shit employee any of our business. I will be letting everyone I know to go elsewhere to avoid this lovely waste of a human being. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Went yesterday had an appointment our lady started off by saying "bear with me I've been out for 2 years and haven't had an brides and don't know much about the dresses" that should have been our clue to run. She then proceeded to bring dresses she liked instead of what my daughter had picked out. At one point myself and her future mother in law brought the dresses my daughter was interested in. Our attendant brought dresses three sizes so big and pinned them up in hopes the bride would like. She even thought one of the brides maids was her co-worker as she was helping chose a style for the bride. Right before we left the attendant made a statement that we needed to hurry as January was a busy month and we would run out of time to pick a dress. Lots of sales tactics that left us sour. We left with a frustrated bride and ended up going to a consignment bridal store with better customer service and a beautiful dress from a last season new with tags and a happy bride. No thanks big chain David's Bridal we got a prettier dress with better service. Reroute your sales people to teach them the customer is who matters not the $$$$. Won't be back. read more

I was very apprehensive on going anywhere and trying on wedding dresses. I am a plus sized person and have heard horror stories about bridal shops and big girls. I will say without a doubt finding a dress at David's Bridal was absolutely wonderful. The staff was amazing. They made me feel beautiful, we had a great time and everyone who helped was outstanding. Laura my consultant was helpful in finding dresses she thought I would like and some that she promised would look better on, and she was right. I found the perfect dress. Also, two other people working Emily and Louis were so fun and helpful as well. I highly recommend checking David's Bridal out. They will make you feel great and relieve the stress of shopping for the most important dress you will ever purchase. read more

I had an appointment with alterations, which we had to wait 30 minutes because no one told her we were there. The lady made my whole experience a nightmare. She was very rude and made me feel very uncomfortable. This experience is supposed to be a very exciting time in my life and she made it horrible, from the moment she came to get me, to the way she was talking to me. I would not recommend this location to anyone. I left that store very upset. I ended up having my dress shipped to the Paducah, KY location, which the alterations there made was amazing! The Evansville lady was horrible! read more

Service was horrible. They were checking their watch, in a hurry to get out. They weren't very nice, and towards the end, nobody was around so we just left. Bad experience overall. Will never be back in the store. read more

I will never use this facility again or refer anyone to this place. The only good experience I had was my sales consultant. The waiting was terrible.. the service was rude. They need to have a little more organization. I was there picking up my $1,000.00++ wedding dress and the girl ringing people up took another customer in front of me. I don't know if she works for commission and just wanted to make sure she got her sale or what?? Clearly I had been waiting in line for 15+ minutes and expressed I had been waiting a while and she just ignored me and took the girl who just came off the floor!!! The sale was only for $100.00. If it wasn't for how great the girl helping me out was..... I would of gladly taken my business elsewhere! Will never use this David's Bridal again and will make sure my bridesmaids go to a different location to pick out their dresses!! read more

I had a great experience with Loni at David's Bridal! Initially, I went in to just look around with my mom, and two aunts. I was going to wait until later in the week when my best friend was able to come. Well, I went in with no clue what I wanted. Loni did a great job finding a wide variety of dresses, and narrowing it down by what i liked and didn't like about the dresses. She ended up finding a dress that was exactly what I wanted! I was only there a hour and half, I never expected to walk out of there with my dress the same day. I would advise anyone to go to David's Bridal who wants a beautiful dress, but don't want to spend a fortune! And ask for Loni...she was patient, understanding and worked hard at finding what I wanted! read more

The first impression was amazing! Don helped everyone my bridal party individually, was very knowledgeable, personable and exceeded my expectations. We bought my dress and all the bridesmaids' dresses in the same trip. The dresses came in quickly! After that, everything went downhill. It seemed as if once they had the money for all the dresses, they no longer cared about our customer experience. I went to find a bustier and jewelry a few months later. Don was no longer available to help, so I was put with someone else. She helped me into my dress, helped pick out jewelry, then a younger bride came in. She left me standing in my dress for 10-15 minutes, blocking my dressing room while she was oohing and ahhing over another bride who hadn't picked her dress yet. The next day, I went to have my dress altered elsewhere. I was told the bustier was the incorrect cut for my dress. Once she started pinning the shoulders, the bra showed in the front and the back. I was told the whole shape of the bustier was wrong for the cut of my dress. She told me I was sold the wrong item and recommended I take it back since it was their error. I walked in to return it, and was told, "We don't do returns!" I explained that I had been sold the wrong shape/cut for my dress and she said, "We can exchange it for another size, but we don't do returns on anything." So after spending close to $1,700 for the whole bridal party, I'm stuck with an $80 bra that I can't wear and still had to pay for the correct item somewhere else. With my personal experience, they're wonderful until the sale is final. Once they money is handed over, customers no longer matter. Don is still wonderful though! (He's the only reason I didn't give 1 star!) read more
