Buyer beware! I had to have my dress altered and fortunately I still have time to take it elsewhere. it took 6 weeks to get it back and the alterations were horrible. My initial appointment on 11/29 was disappointing. The lady assisting me did not speak English only Spanish. I told her wanted to adjust the straps, add bra cups and a bustle. The bustle alone cost $113 because of the hype that she did. I didn't understand when she was asking or trying to tell us about different types because of language barrier. They said it wasn't going to be ready until the end of December so I just said ok fine and paid off my alterations which came out to $186. On 12/29 I went to pick up my dress and I tried it on. The bust area didn't feel right it was loose and unsupportive. The straps still felt a little loose, the cups were not sewn in correctly and they are very thin and unsupportive similar to the inserts the put in a bathing suit top. I also felt like the area around my waist where the cummerbund part is was too loose and contributing to the issues. The girl helping told me there was nothing that they could change to help with my concerns. I have a picture when I tried on the dress and a 2nd picture where I am holding the extra fabric in the back and you can clearly tell that the dress is not fitted correctly. After telling me there was nothing they could do she walked out and I changed and signed and took my dress to get leave. I got in my car and was in tears. My wedding is 3 weeks away and I am extremely unhappy with my dress and the customer service received. My dress was also not pressed/steamed it is just as wrinkled as when I picked up when it was delivered to the store. I also asked at my initial bridal appointment to see every satin dress available. I was not shown any because they weren't my size and felt pressured into choosing a dress I ended up exchanging. When I went with a bridesmaid to look for her dress I was walking around the store and stumbled upon the dress I currently have. Absolutely loved it when I tried it on, simple, satin, classic beautiful exactly what I wanted. Since I had my previous dress for over 60 days I was told I couldn't do an exchange. The sales girl came out and said her manager would have to speak to the area manager and it would take 3 days to get an email response. The manager was supposed to come talk to us and never came out just had the employee say they would contact us when they got a reply. The area manager did approve an exchange I was beyond excited when I got to the store and thanked the manager profusely and told her how much I appreciated this. No response from her and she was extremely rude about the whole process. Holding back tears while I waited for the exchange process. I have been there for myself, my mother, my daughter and a couple bridesmaids. Only one time was there a nice sales girl. Every other visit was awful everyone is extremely rude and unwelcoming. There aren't many options here locally so unfortunately we had to go here. I would not recommend them to anyone for any reason ever. The only bad/stressful part of my entire wedding planning experience was with David's Bridal. I am now having to go somewhere else to get all of the alterations I paid for there redone. The customer service text told me to contact the store manager which I will not do. I do not wish to be made to feel upset and uncomfortable because of their lack of customer service. read more

If you don't read my whole review just know to skip David's and go to VANESSA BRIDAL! I came here to find a dress and it was my first bridal experience, I was so excited but that quickly faded. As soon as I walked in with my mom, grandma and aunt we were quickly snapped at! "Uhhhh hello sanitize!!" Super awkward.. anyways there was no one at all in the store and they told us I could only have 2 guests. Which was weird because it's a huge space but it's post Covid quarantine so we said ok. We weren't told any info before but we were then told we could not look at any dresses and the woman helping us would have to pull dresses for us. While showing me different styles she also said "oh by the way you can only try on 3-5 dresses" it was very awkward and weird and not enjoyable and my grandma felt really awkward and decided to leave, which was pretty upsetting. I didn't really like many of the dresses the woman was pulling for me then she said in a rude tone "just so you know your appointment can't be longer than an hour and you only have 25 min left" so we felt super rushed and not welcome. Especially while trying on a dress I liked with her saying "just so you know you have 5 minutes left" needless to say the appointment was terrible and I cried afterwards because I expected my first bridal appointment to be so much more! The next day we called around and found a place called Vanessa bridal and it was an AMAZING EXPERIENCE. I found my dress there and was so grateful for the woman working there because they made me feel so much better! read more

Didn't have the greatest experience when I went to go pick up my dress. I am going to need alterations and when I went to ask for help there was no one on the floor so I had to send my boyfriend to go look for someone. I could hear them laughing and talking while I was waiting for a while and when the manager finally came out she just acted like I was bothering her with my questions (I was asking about exchanging for a smaller size), she didn't even look it up when I asked I had to keep prompting her to just look it up to see if it was possible. Just made me feel like a nuisance. Totally different experience before I had purchased the dress, almost as if they only care about their commission.. I shopped for dresses for the first time with consultant Beatrice. She was so patient and helpful! She willingly pulled all kinds of dresses, got veils to see "what the complete look could be". I narrowed it down to 3 dresses and came back that evening to make a choice. This time Persephone and Sylvia helped me. They allowed me to try the dresses on again, offered their honest opinion when I asked, patiently got me in and out of the same dress a few times to compare, and ultimately helped me choose THE DRESS! I had read a couple of reviews on Google, which described this store as a complete cluster-something, and had only one day in which to set up as many bridesmaids as possible for dresses at a wedding in which I was supposed to be the Maid of Honor. The bridezilla, however, whom I had to keep quiet until getting back to Austin rather than upset a terminally ill member of the family who was present, was at the top of my list of dislike. Part of our party, including someone who is disabled and needs to sit down regularly were already seated when I arrived 10 minutes early. I explained quietly to the lady who was helping us, Cecile, or Cece (see-see) as they called her at the front desk that I was ditching this event entirely, but could not have a scene happen until we were out of the area by a good hundred miles, and she said she understood, and would keep everything on the down-low. I told her I appreciated this greatly, and asked her to 'just throw some dresses at me,' and that I'd 'pick' one quickly and get out of the way. I tried on two, she wrote down the second for me, and put it in the 'wish list' so I could 'order it' through the Austin store. Over-all, I must admit the store was less busy than I expected, not crowded, considering it was a Saturday afternoon, the bridesmaids were able to get their dress orders in right away, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS IMPECCABLE!!! and everyone who was blissfully unaware of the impending drama left happy. If could sue this place and get my money back by the time my wedding occurred I would. But I am left with an ok dress that ill have to live with because I don't have the time energy or money to invest in a new one. I went into my first appointment excited and my consultant was really sweet and great BUT she made the worst mistake you can make in the wedding dress industry. She sold me a dress that was sold out in my exact color. I wanted an illusion dress by Galina with long beautiful train and they ordered an Ivory dress in the same style. I didn't at the time know the difference. When you order this dress in the ivory it takes away the "illusion" and makes it look like a cheaper version of the champagne one I tried on and fell in love with. I actually thought the champagne one was ivory. When I went back to the store to get my bridesmaids dresses taken care of I asked to see my dress again and when I was looking at the ticket on the dress I noticed it said ivory/champagne. I immediately started asking questions. They then informed me it was in fact sold out in my color. That they did order the Ivory. Not once did I hear an I'm sorry or any kind of distress. The only thing they said was it will be fine the dress is just as beautiful in Ivory. And if not you can choose another dress. What the... just like that. Is this Walmart? Am I buying a swimsuit? Or am I buying a freaking wedding dress?! At this point I believed them. smh. The dress finally came in and it was awful. Totally changed the entire look of the dress. I'm a natural redhead and I am pasty white and it still looked like I was wearing white organza. I was sad and mad and the girl who was helping me started saying that we can start the process of finding another dress again! Like no big deal. So because they make you sign that receipt that states no REFUNDS I in fact did not get that option after their bait and switch tactic. I had to look for another dress and I did just that. I was told that after I found my new dress I would have to come back in and talk to the manager about the "EXCHANGE". First off this is not an exchange this is DB fixing their mistake they refused to admit to. I called the next day because I've wasted enough gas and money on them they should have been calling ME to fix this. Not the other way around. Anyway, I called the store and get the most rude and uncaring manager on the planet. She literally had me thinking it was my fault by her tone and condescending questions like" and why are you wanting an exchange for this dress"???????? I think she's kidding and nope! So I tell her Because= YOU ordered the wrong one. I started to get the feeling she was not even going to do the exchange. Then she started spouting off SKU numbers like "Is that your dress you want?" ummm how am I suppose to know the SKU number of the new dress that's suppose to be on file from the disaster that occurred the night before? I finally had enough of it all and told her what I thought. Again, not once saying we are so sorry for ruining your dream dress. She sounded like she was upset with me like this was a bother for her. She did the exchange and then proceeded to tell me I now have a 5 dollar credit on my account if I choose to use it! LMAO!!! On WHAT? I will never buy from this corporation ever again. Now where do I go for alterations my veil and the sash that went with the dress? Disaster. I am going to tell everyone my experience. How sad they have to rope people into ALL sales are FINAL because they do such bad business they can't afford to make sure every bride is a happy bride. Stick to mom and pop shops. This company has lost touch with reality. They dont realize some of us saved for a year for a 1300 dollar dress. My consultant was a very sweet and helpful sales women. My problem is with David bridals greed and the management poor attitude towards the people that keep them employed. read more

I was going in there to try on different materials for a bridesmaid dress and had Kelley as my consultant and she was nice at first but then I tried on dresses and kept mentioning stuff about my weight like saying, "this dress usually looks better on 0-10 size" LOL. So I let that go, next I tried on a different dress and Kelley mentioned to the bride that maybe a "thinner bridesmaid" could pull off the dress. God forbid I was a size 14 geez. But oh well. My experience was one quiet afternoon. I had no appointment, but there was only me and one other bride in the store the entire time. Upon walking in I was first awkwardly greeted by two girls staring at me for a discomforting moment before even speaking. I was paired with a girl who was nice enough, however even though there were at least two other saleswomen in the store, this particular sales girl was the only one assisting both me and the other bride which lead to very uncomfortable moments of me standing alone, waiting for someone to button the back of my dress. I wasn't accompanied by anyone and felt very self conscious. There didn't seem to be much variety of dresses, but then I am a very particular bride, so I don't hold that against them.. The most dislikable thing about my visit, however, was while I was admiring the dresses in the mirror, I noticed this random older woman was standing close behind me, staring... At first I thought she was the other bride's grandma, just...enjoying the view,! lol, But as she began speaking to the sales girl, I realized she worked there and was, I understood to be the seamstress or alterations person. She never spoke to me, never introduced herself...just...stood there, staring... It was very weird for me! I finally stared back at her and asked in a hint-ful tone, "Do you work here?" She also made such mindless comments as, "That dress is too small for her," and "She needs a bigger size." OK, even if that's true - and it was - don't say that where a bride can hear you, please. Or any woman, for that matter. And if you must say it, use nicer wording. As if I - and every other woman in the world - weren't self conscious enough about my body.. I practically ran out of there. The service was non-existent aside from the shy-ish sales girl, the random old lady was weird and unprofessional on all levels, and the whole atmosphere of the store just kinda felt off to me. I thought that maybe I would have gotten better service had I made an appointment, but I was telling a girlfriend about my experience and she told me that when she went there for her appointment, she too had an unprofessional experience. read more

My fiance just picked up her dress that she purchased from here and paid an additional $200 to have it altered. They admitted to making a mistake with the alteration and would correct the mistake for an additional $140 and will have it back in a week....our wedding is in 2 days. I loved this store when I first started looking for a dress. I even bought one. Now only two weeks away from the wedding... I wish I had not. They did not have the dress that I wanted in my size so we had to order another one. It came back with a rip in the netting. They ordered another one. I just got a call from the manager of the store and they think this dress is defective also. That would be ok except that they have had the dress for 2 months in alterations. They did not realize the problem until today. It looks like it just came out of a box it is so wrinkled. My wedding is in TWO weeks. They want to order another dress, take hand sewn beading that my mother did off the old dress and put it on the new dress. They said I should have a new dress by the 26th. My wedding is on the 28th. If I could do it all over again I would have never walked in the store. I want to cry but that wouldn't help anything. I can't stress b/c then you get pimples! This location ordered the WRONG bridesmaid dress for a wedding I am in, in July. Then when it came in nobody called me to let me know, I just happened to go in to pick up the bride's veil and asked about my dress. That is when I found out that they had ordered the wrong dress. The manager was nice and ordered the correct one but the delivery date of my correct dress is 12 days before the wedding. I asked if it could be here sooner, seeing how this is clearly not my fault. They called and my order could not be seen within the company because it had just been placed. Okay, understandable. They said call back in 24 hours and they would see what they could do. The sales associate at this location said I would receive a call from someone the next day. 3 days later and radio silence. So I called - got passed around to 3 people and finally was told that I had to call back NEXT MONTH to get an update on my dress!!!! My dress is SUPPOSEDLY going to be delivered 12 DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING!!! It would be great if someone from corporate would get in touch with me, because surly a business as large as this can make a dress ship faster than what I am being told. The girls here are all so helpful! They accommodated our group of 9 plus a toddler very well. Took their time with the bride, picked out quite a few dresses for her to try on. The consultant was really cheerful and conversed with everyone nicely. One complaint was the bathroom. The inside of the store is clean and set up well. Then you go to the bathroom and it didn't smell very good, the trash can was dirty and there was toilet paper on the floor. I would just expect for a bridal store and the only large one in this town for it to be girly, with flowers and pictures on the wall. Maybe put a plug in or something? Just a suggestion. Also, they didn't offer any complimentary water or any type of drink. You would think people are spending a couple of thousand dollars here, maybe spring for the mini waters?? Again, just a suggestion. All in all it was a nice experience for the bride and her friends. read more

I walked in today at 1:30 and nobody was in the store, not even an employee. I waited around about 5 min. and started to look for an employee as I had an appointment and limited time. Finally a girl appeared at the front desk and was not very welcoming. Then they assigned me a bridal consultant who also was not very cheerful and seemed annoyed to have to work at all. I had a list of about 20 dresses, 3 of which were actually in the store. Then she gave me one dress and didn't even offer to help put it on. I did it myself. She came back with another one that was a size 16 so I tried it on figuring she had clamps to tighten it. NOPE. I asked her and she said "no i can hold it for you though" what kind of place is this?? Every bridal salon even david's bridal has clamps for the dresses. I have been to 2 other david's bridals that were much better and completely prepared for bridal appointments and were actually friendly. Considering I was the only customer, I should have had complete attention and they should have been vying for me to buy something. Instead I was just over it after the 3rd dress that they managed to have in stock. Horrible customer service, horrible atmosphere, horrible store. DO NOT waste any time here. read more

I want to applaud the David's Bridal of Corpus Christi, TX for the amazing experience my friend had there. This friend recently got engaged and lives in TX, thousands of miles away from her family. Another friend and I decided to fly to TX to surprise her to take her dress shopping. Not know the area, we just set up appointments at any bridal salon we could find in her area, David's Bridal being one of them. On the first day, we went to 3 different salons. My friend is plus size so we all knew it may be a bit more challenging to find a sample in her size. We had a good experience at one salon, but the other two were a bust. By the following day before our appointment at David's Bridal, our bride was incredibly discouraged and ready to throw in the towel. Thankfully DB was our last stop because they blew us away! They've got so many plus size options that our friend could try on any dress that she liked. We picked several dresses out, but ultimately, it was our wonderful consultant (I'm sad I can't remember her name) who pulled the perfect dress for the bride. She made her feel and look beautiful. She also helped us find the perfect bridesmaids dresses as well. I was so floored by the experience here, that I made an appointment for myself (also engaged) at my local David's Bridal and my consultant pulled my dream dress on her second attempt. David's Bridal, you've made two best friends and brides very, very happy!! read more
