Today my best friend and I went to David's Bridal looking for her perfect dress. This was actually our second visit -- the first time we didn't have a great experience either, but we thought it was because there weren't many dress options available. We decided to give them another chance since many people told us they were good, but unfortunately, this time was even worse. The consultant who was assigned to us (the same lady from our first visit) didn't give us enough time to choose, never asked my friend what she was looking for, and was splitting her attention between us and another customer. Another consultant eventually stepped in and was much nicer, but then the first lady told her that it was our second time there and implied that we didn't know what we wanted. At that point, I decided it was time for us to leave. Only then did she suddenly become more attentive and friendly -- maybe because she overheard me. We left with one pretty option in mind, but thankfully, we had another appointment at Leggenda Bridal. My appointment was last Saturday afternoon for bridesmaid dress fitting. When my friend, who is the bride, and I walked in David's Bridal, we were greeted immediately at the podium-looking furniture. The staff instructed us to wear the provided gloves the entire time in the store. The store had dresses in many different styles. I didn't browse through them, so I am not sure how they are. The employee assigned to help us was NOT helpful at all. We explained that we are looking for Plum and similar color dresses in a specific size. She automatically assumed my size and showed us dresses on her tablet. She asked when the event date was and showed the ones on her tablet that would arrive a week before the wedding. My friend, the bride, explained to her that I need to get fitted first because I am not sure about my size and what style fits me best. The employee continued to show us the dresses on the tablet. I asked her if she had any of the dresses in store for me to try on, she said no. I asked, what do you have in store right now that I can try on? She continued to show her tablet of dresses that we can just order and alter. It didn't make sense. Finally, she picked out a dress in size 2 in the store. I looked at her and said, this is not my size. Her reply was, "Just alter it." My friend and I looked at each other in disbelief. She picked out another dress that was size 10, assuming it was 0. The employee seemed really pushy to get me to order a dress from her tablet already and it was really frustrating. We almost asked the front staff if they can switch out this employee because she was the opposite of helpful. My friend explained to her again that we need the right size so that I will know how the dresses will fit before purchasing. The employee found 3 dresses in the size that I think would fit me. As I tried them on in the fitting room, I noticed some of the dresses were stained. The employee said I can alter the dresses if I like them. She was really pushing me to buy the dresses already, then I learned that they make money off of commissions. My friend and I went to look at other dresses and the employee came by. We asked her if she can show us some Amethyst dresses, she said, "But that's not your color." My friend said, we are looking at purple dresses, it can be Plum, Amethyst, and it's for us to decide. She was REALLY frustrating to work with and would not listen. I ended up finding many more options online and ordered from the David's Bridal website. It was much easier than dealing with the pushy and ignorant employee. She did not deserve any commission because she was not helpful at all and created more stress for us. read more

I would not recommend it. I had an appointment save up for a month for an stylist who can help me pick my dress and help me what I am looking for. I had pictures for what style I was looking for, the cut, what I like and what I don't like. I was expecting a normal experience because someone recommended me the place because is cheap and it has a lot to pick. The stylist that I save for the hour help me twice. She was more focus on another costumers than me. She also didn't understand what I was looking for. I wanted something simple, not texture and with straps, easy right? Nope, out of the 6 dresses that I tried one of them kinda have some of the characters that I was looking for but it was with out strap. I am not gonna spend all this money for a dress that I have to modify. My las thing was my budget, $1000 with taxes included. And for what I saw on their website, there is dresses for $500 or less. I was highly disappointed by my experience at this location. We arrived for our appointment on time. Was greeted by one of the store attendants and were told that the person who was going to help us would be coming out shortly. Luz (the woman who ended up helping us) came and asked me my information and which dresses I was interested in. I told her the dresses and their identification numbers I had found on the DB website. She didn't write anything down that I was saying and took us back to the fitting area. She asked me the information again and had me dictate the numbers to her. Once she pulled some dresses she asked me if I would prefer my mom to help me get dressed. I told her "yes. I would prefer my mom" she told me that was fine. She said I would need to take off all my clothing except my panties. I did as instructed and tried on the first dress with my mom's assistance. When it came time to try on the second dress I returned to the dressing room with my mom and my 4 year old daughter. As I was undressing to switch to the other dress Luz BARGED into the room while I was just in my tong. Came right in and didn't ask if I was OK with her being there. She automatically took the dress from my mom and started dressing me. I was incredibly uncomfortable but in too much shock to say anything. By the 3rd dress Luz told my mom to leave the dressing room and she would help me. She continued to dress me despite me being uncomfortable. By the time I was done with my dresses it was time to try on my daughters flower girl dress. My mom, daughter and I went back into the dressing room without Luz and started to get my daughter undressed. My daughter was in her underwear when Luz once AGAIN barged into the dressing room. I grabbed the skirt of my gown and wrapped it around my daughters body so Luz would not be able to see my daughters body. Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE behavior. That is my minor child. I do not care how long you have been in the industry. It is a complete VIOLATION of my daughters privacy. Luz was trying to take the flower girl dress from my mom to help her with the buttons. My mom took the buttons off and handed me the dress. I turned my body to shield my daughter and put the dress on her. I was absolutely livid at this invasion of privacy. I kept my calm as my baby girl was in love with her dress and I didn't want her to feel anything was her fault. Once it came time to speak with the person who handles alterations they asked me the date of my wedding. I advised of the date and the woman huffed and puffed muttering that the month I was getting married in is an extremely busy time with too much work to do. I stared at her in disbelief and waited for her to make an appointment for my alterations (which she said came at an ADDITIONAL cost to the dress) My mother, daughter. Stepdaughter and best friend came with me to the register to pay. We were introduced to the store manager Maritza. She was snarky and rude. I mentioned that I had gone to the Bridal expo in Ft Lauderdale and had registered for my appointment there and had been advised I would get 15% off my dress due to having been at the expo. Maritza gave me a sour face and asked if I received a "code" I told her I didn't receive any code. I was instructed by the person at the bridal expo to select "ft Lauderdale bridal expo" in the drop down of the appointment information and they would apply the code. Maritza attempted to tell me that the offers from the expo expire. To which I replied that they needed to review their policies because no one ever stated I had a certain time frame in which I needed to go to my appointment for that discount. Mind you my appointment was 5 weeks after the expo. Maritza saw I was pissrd off and applied a 10% discount to both the dress and the veil i ordered. I was so disappointed and let down by this visit. In all honesty, I would not have had the wedding of my dreams if it weren't for the grace and kindness of the staff at David's Bridal Coral Gables. There were times my wedding could have been a nightmare, but by the grace of a few stellar employees there, they saved my dumb butt and we managed to pull off the wedding of my dreams. Chapter 1 - Getting the dress. I scheduled an appointment. It happened to fall on a sale weekend, but we went early and were attended to immediately by Arlyne. She was an absolute sweetheart and listened to our ideas, but most importantly listened to my mom when my mom said, "forget everything, we need to try this dress." And the first dress I tried on was the one I walked down the aisle in, although it took a miracle to make it happen. Oh, and as we checked out that day, we asked Arlyne about her recommendations for bridesmaid dresses, and her pick was a huge success!!! It looked good on all of my girls even though they ranged in size and skin tone. We went with the ballet colored dress. And it was very budget friendly. Also, pro tip, David Bridal will ship you the dress for free once it arrives in store. And that is what we did, and where the first problem started. I did not try on the dress until my alteration appointment a month before the wedding. FUTURE BRIDES, please try on the dress immediately to see if you need a different size. Chapter 2 - The dress was too small. When I tried on the sample dress initially, it was a huge size and Arlyne shaped it with clips to how it would look on my body. I wear a size 20-22 normally, but I ended up needing a size 24-26 with this model dress. A month before my wedding, I go to the Alteration department and try on the dress and it does not fit. It's missing several inches in the back. My mom nearly faints, and the seamstresses are suggesting things we can do, but no matter how we slice or dice, it's missing a lot of material for my arms and back. The angel that is Laura looks in the system and agrees to exchange the dress as it is new with tags for the only remaining dress in that style which was a size 28. It was a miracle and we agreed immediately. She even went ahead and exchanged the corset we bought there for the correct size I needed. Laura, I can't thank you enough for helping this plus size bride out and making her dreams come true. But there was still much work to do and many prayers to say. The dress had to arrive on time if I were to have it down the aisle. Chapter 3 - Thank God for the skill, speed, and kindness of the seamstresses Zonia and Pilar. We received the dress a week later and they got to work immediately. It took 2 rounds of alterations to get it just right. And we managed to get the dress ready the Monday before the wedding, only there was a glitch in communication that invited disaster into the chat. We were told to come by Tuesday after 2pm to try on the dress and pick it up. But I called 8 times that Tuesday to see what would be the best time to come in, and the system was down. No matter how many times I called or what department, I couldn't get through to a human. I had to stay late for work, so as soon as I could, I went over. And in the drive over, I called one more time because I saw the store was going to close minutes after I would arrive according to Google, even though Yelp said the store closed 2 hours later. I called and freaked out because not only would they close, but the seamstresses wouldn't be there Wednesday or Thursday, so I did melt down, and the manager and seamstress Zonia went above and beyond the call of duty and decided to stay to help me out when they didn't have to. Honestly, I can not thank them enough for hearing my desperation and helping me when they didn't have to. I think that makes all the difference because any other store would have closed the door and told me it was a me problem. So to the staff that helped me out time and time again, thank you so much. You made my wedding dreams come true and I pray the universe blesses you with all that you deserve, hopefully raises! P.S. My mom and I happened to browse the clearance section of the store after the second dress trial and we found the most beautiful wedding dress in clearance for the second part of my wedding!!! I had spent months looking for one that didn't fit the bill, and it was like God put it in our path, it was absolutely perfect. Don't sleep on David Bridal. It definitely makes all the difference to go with an appointment, try things on immediately, communicate with staff about appointment times and their schedules, and to check the clearance section! read more

My cousin needed a dress for herself and her mom so she told me she needed to come to this place to get them. I looked at the reviews and agreed that the place was the right choice. But maybe I expected more. I walked into the store with them but left a few minutes after because I wanted a walk around the area. My cousin and her mom stayed inside for a few hours. I mean, I knew it was going to be a few hours. When I met them again later and asked them about their experience, they were a little disappointed. Someone greeted them at the beginning and appeared to be the one that was going to help them, but she left them alone. So, they had to navigate the whole store, sizes and all that by themselves. Let me start by saying I am in my mid 40s and about a size 10. Shopping for a wedding dress at this point in my life is fun but stressful at the same time. (LOL, not her per say but we just wanted to browse the store without being paired up with a stylist) the unfortunate part is that I'm writing this review after the fact so I forgot her name BUT she was possibly in her 40s, great style and Colombian and she was truly AMAZING! The whole reason for my visit was to find a Mother-of-the-Bride dress for my mom as my wedding was back in October 2021. Not for nothing but we went straight to the clearance section. Honestly, I can't begin to tell you how many stores we visited during the whole process and I was STRESSED because everything was extremely expensive or didn't fit well or didn't have her size. But luckily we ended up leaving David's Bridal with TWO options! And from the clearance rack, still in great conditions and great prices. The downside was that they were not her size so the dresses needed some tailoring. Which when we asked the seamstress at David's Bridal they prices they were RIDICULOUS! At the end of it, just the pricing per every fix was coming out to $200+ in tailoring which was WAYYYYYYY MORE than the cost of the dress itself. Um, NO! But our stylist recommended an old seamstress that worked for David's Bridal that started working from home that would cut the price in half for us. She set us up in a fitting room, got my mom some shoes so she could model the dresses correctly, and was my mom's biggest hype woman. Truly that was some of the best service I've ever had at a place like this. Especially for my mom, that tends to be super picky. She made her feel very comfortable, especially modeling the dresses outside on their catwalk. DB's needs more stylists like her! read more

We walked in thinking it appeared there was an enormous selection, but then were directed to just three racks of dresses to chose from. Apparently all the other racks held different sizes of those same dresses on the front three racks. My daughter tried on at least a half dozen dresses, but the fit seemed off, the fabrics very ordinary, the embellishments lacking, and the styles too generic. None gave us an inkling of hope to saying yes to the dress. David's did, however, have seating and lots of dressing rooms. For us, we wished we'd spent our limited shopping time somewhere more productive. read more

My sister is getting married and went with her to go try on her gown she had already bought. We arrived on time to the appointment and were told to go to a room that was occupied by other people. We waited there for over 30 minutes and we asked if we brought a dress by the seamstress. We answered no, the store has the dress and we're told the front desk were supposed to hand us the dress. Frustrated, we mentioned no one told us that and the seamstress said to not get upset with her as she's not the manager. We went to the front desk and were told they couldn't find the dress. Then another lady assuming a second seamstress went to search and found it. A wedding is a beautiful time and trying on a dress is supposed to be a magical moment for the bride and family. David's Bridal at the coral gables location makes the experience of trying on a dress with them equivalent to ordering McDonald's & getting someone else's order & confronted as if it's our fault we received the wrong order. The service they give is cheap. Having a fitting room designed to have more than one family in it is disorganized and lazy. Seamstresses don't know what's going with dresses. Is a tacky place that adds stress when customers should be taken care of from the moment they walk in. They need to hire more people and provide 5 star service. Otherwise, why be in business for weddings? Horrible service. You would have a better experience purchasing a dress else where. They leave the same generic comment on others reviews acting shocked someone received poor service however they don't look shocked when in store. Will keep in mind to never shop here. read more

I really appreciate that they were welcoming, and nurturing rather than pushy like at many of the nearby bridal shops. David's was the third shop I went to in hopes of finding an affordable dream dress for my wedding. I bought my dress in October ( wedding is in January) and the dress shipped to me with in 3 weeks. I scheduled an app for alterations and had to wait 30 minutes after I arrived because they did not have a seamstress who spoke enough english to take care of me. The other patrons next to me were kind enough to translate. Once they finished pinning it, the dress came out beautiful. Just like I had hoped (bustle was redone 3 times but it looks good!). They are PRICEY for alterations and even though I paid an express fee they are still keeping my dress for three weeks. I will update when I get it back (two days before my wedding) read more

Worst experience ever. I walked in today on January 11 at about 4pm and was made to feel like an inconvenience from the very beginning. I walked in with a few styles in mind and showed it to the stylist ( I didn't not get her name) when I was asked about my size I explained that I was unsure but I believed to be about a size 14 and would actually like to try them on to make sure I can find my correct size. SHE ROLLED HER EYES AT ME and seemed upset at the fact that I needed to get fitted. She looked through a couple dresses and says she couldn't find anything my size and to look around myself instead. Also when I was asked about the date ( 1 month away) of the wedding she wanted to make a big deal as if I waited too last minute and almost began to scold me for waiting and that I would need to get something off the rack. I was in shock considering one of the other bridesmaids walked in only one day before and was shown a wide selection 50+ dresses in the correct shade that would arrive an entire week before the wedding. I left within 5 minutes of entering and was made to feel absolutely awful. When we called less than 20 minutes to try and get the staff members name we were told that no one with my description had walked in to the store today, essentially calling us liars. read more

I came here with my best friend to shop for her wedding dress almost 2 years ago. The lady who took care of us was very inattentive, and my best friend had a terrible time. I could not have had a more different experience today. Lisa was on top of everything from the moment that we arrived. We pulled out so many dresses, but she had the dressing room organized with everything we needed in a very neat way. She almost had a sixth sense of when I had the dress on, but my mom was struggling with buttons or the zipper or anything. I booked an appointment online about a week ago and made another for this past Saturday in the morning to try out bridal dresses. I went in and was helped by a young lady named Rose. She was wonderful she had me chose all the dresses I wanted to try on during my time there. I had such a great time trying on dresses. I went again yesterday and rose helped out with a few other dresses that came in new. I brought family with me this time so they can see and help me out with making a choice. The David's bridal in the gables is by far the best. From the dress selection to the customer service they provide. I've been to others not for me but for friends having fittings or just browsing around and never have I been more pleased than with this store. I've dreamt about my wedding my whole life so I know exactly what I was looking for when it came to my dress. I was so disappointed coming to David's bridal because the person who helped me was more focused on selling a dress than getting a dress that I actually really really loved. Also, the way you try on the dresses is literally in front of everyone. the little changing rooms are too tiny and the dresses are way too big, therefore you're very uncomfortable in there. My mom was in there with me and she would almost have to leave the door open for me to be able to properly fit into the dress. The person that was helping us was not around very much so we had to get help from other people to get the veil or other accessories that I wanted to try on. overall my experience was not good and I wouldn't really recommend coming here. It's very hard to look your dress and actually feel like you're a bride when you're in front of everyone and you see other people in different dresses and that family is commenting on that dress and then you have people who you don't know looking at you and your dress. You do not get the bride private experience where you're in a room with your loved ones and everyone gets to see that dress. They do have a decent selection of dresses, not all of them were to my liking but that's just my taste. I do want to note that they do have a lot of sales and the dresses can go for a very very cheap so if you're trying to save on your dress, this store might be it. read more

Went to David's Bridal after going online doing our research which includes setting up an account on their site. It is best that you make your selections save them in your favorites. While assisting my friend in planning for her wedding dress we chose about 5 dresses. One was an exclusive Vera Wang that this location did not carry. So we called their Corporate offices and the dress was sent from Pennsylvania in two different sizes. We made an appointment so we would come in after the dresses arrived. After trying them on we decided on another dress instead. The staff was very helpful and truly went the extra mile getting shoes for height as well as hair accessories to compliment the wedding gown. On May 9th, I bought a gown at Davids Bridal store located on Coral Gables (37-41 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables, FL 33134). The dress VNECK BEADED SHEATH in size 4 had multiple beads missing on the back part of the dress. The store offered they could fixed it and give it to me like new because apparently there wasn't any other new they could sell. That dress should have never been displayed in the condition it was. I accepted because I trusted the store. Paid for the dress and I was told to come back on June 8th to pick up the dress. On June 7th I called the store and I was informed it was not ready and it would not be for June 8th. They told me to call back on June 10th. First red flag of the service offered and the promised date of the delivery of the dress. I called back on June 10th, and was told the dress was ready for pick up but the pick up could only happen during the week. I told them I work and I can only go on the weekends and that I live far away. They said I could go on Sat June 12th first time in the morning but that I will be unable to try on the dress on the weekends ( very suspicious for a dress it cost almost $300 and that it was not getting any fitted alterations). I called back on Fri Jun 11th to re-confirm the dress will be ready and I was told THE DRESS IS FULLY READY. On Sat June 12, I went to the store and I picked up the dress at 9 a.m. It was already packed on its bag. The surprise came when I got home.. the dress was a disaster.... the beads were not fixed and it was in worst condition that the one I had bough on May 9th. It had multiple beads missing on the front part.... they did not work on the dress and they lefts pins all over the dress which hurt me when I was trying the dress. HOW WILL A STORE OR A STORE MANAGER ALLOW FOR A DRESS LIKE THAT TO LEAVE THE STORE?. I called the store and they refused to return my money they told me to go back to the store ( I live almost 1 hour away from the store) for them to study the dress. I was and I am still furious. I had to take an uber ($80) back to the store to ask for my money back. The wedding is taking place tonight and I have no dress to attend the event. The alterations manager accepted to return my money back. Who is then covering for all the time lost, frustration and Ubers to go back to the store? 5 weeks waiting for the dress and they have done no work on it. Now I wonder, if someone else had used the dress I bought on May 9th and they were planning on giving me a used dress or another one. The dress was in worst condition that the one I bough initially. How is that possible? I work for an International Organisation (United Nations) and I am used to attend a lot of events. I have never experienced this when buying gown. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from Davids Bridal or they will ruined your day and event. read more

My wedding dress experience wasn't the best since the lady who was in charge of me was not happy to take care of me. She told me fat between the line (Im am size 6 and she brought me dresses size 12). My daughter and my 2 best friends went with me and regardless the not that nice lady, we made the most of it. I dont know if at the end my friend talked to the lady but she was a little nice at the end. We picked the dress but they only have the sample so we ordered and we were told to pick it up on 12/9/23. They called me on 11/22 that they already had the dress and if I wanted them to send it home and I thought sure..why not. It arrived today and OMG.. I am sad/mad. The small box they picked was in bad shape.. and when I opened it.. that poor dress in a regular plastic hanger and a see thru plastic bag.. they didn't put it in those garmet cover bags. My dress is all Wrinkled!! I called and they told me the steam is included but now I have to go back ... and also that they will take my suggestion for future shipments.. but what about me. I told her I am sad with my dress now. I have to hide it home since I live with my fiance.. hopefully he will not see it before the wedding. Very bad customer experience in my special day. No no no, I REGRET having my bridesmaids choose their dresses here! From the beginning everytime I would call to find out the status of one of my girl's dresses they had me on Hold forever!!! 1 of my bridesmaids, who is a little heavy, had ordered a certain size (I went with Each one to make sure everything went well) but when she went to pick up the dress, she decided to try it on there and noticed she received her dress 2 sizes smaller!! When she (sweetest person) went to go notify the store, they wanted to make it HER mistake and gave her a hard time.. How are they going to make her feel like she has to fit in that!? She tried it on in the same store. They're so lucky she went when I was out of town because I am witness to the size she ordered. THEN another bridesmaid was worried when she saw the tracking # to her dress listed as "missing item. Under investigation" - they lost her dress somewhere in Hialeah. Also, they didn't tell me it was lost when I called, she saw it through the tracking#. When they reordered her a new one, they sent her a bag barely wrapped/broken AND the dress isn't even well-made!! The dresses have an opening on the leg and it's so obvious that they did this dress HORRIBLY MADE. I am going to attach all the photos.... I can't believe I trusted this place & brand! You will be charged $600+ for alteration upfront, but it will be poor quality & not made on time. stay away from person name Zonya in alterations. she will scum you for money, but can not guarantee quality. they will give you 4 weeks to pick up, but if you are not happy with alteration- they will try to scum you for more money. entire store is outdated & dirty so as sewing machines. read more
