My niece got engaged the day after Christmas and has decided to marry on June 4th of this year. Needless to say, we have a lot of planning to do in a short amount of time! She had been to a boutique in Columbia a couple days before and while she liked the dresses, she just didn't feel like she found "the one". At last minute, on a Sunday, we decided to drive to David's Bridal in Columbia, MO. We had looked at the website and with all honesty, we were not that impressed but we thought we would give it a try. We were greeted at the door and instantly liked the atmosphere. It was very professional yet laid back and we were introduced to Amy, who would be her consultant. She was FABULOUS! She asked what styles my niece liked, and from there she said she would pick out a few dresses and let us also find a few. We ended up with 5-6 dresses that we really liked. We were SHOCKED at how beautiful some of these dresses were! Do not look at the website and automatically think that's all they have, it's completely different in the store! Amy was so awesome when it came to helping my niece. She was insanely sweet yet honest, we could tell she was there to find my niece the perfect dress, not to just make money. She had a knack for finding beautiful dresses and made it very hard for us to choose. Even other consultants would come over and talk to us and give their opinions on the dress she had on and were so, so, nice. However, after only 2 HOURS, my niece said, "Yes to the dress" and it is AMAZING! My sister, niece, her best friend and I were so emotional and Amy was right there with us! She truly cared about my niece's happiness and it showed. The store closed at 7pm and we were there for a little while after 7 and no one said a word. They were very friendly by saying, "Take your time, it's okay." I can honestly say this was such a wonderful experience and I am so blessed to have been a part of it but a huge thank you to Amy for making it so easy! read more

My fiance has been to David's Bridal a few times over the past several months but never ended up buying anything more than a sash. I'd gone along with her a few times, but never thought much of the experience. It was only after our horrible experience at Dala's Bridal in Tipton where we bought what we thought was the right dress that I came to appreciate the staff at David's Bridal. Put simply, Dala's treated us right when trying to get the sale, but then turned a cold shoulder when the dress we ordered wasn't what we'd hoped. Defeated, we went back to David's on a whim this past weekend. The first thing that happened was that Nikki, one of the staff, remembered my fiance from weeks before, knew which dress she had tried on and even that her hair had been a different color. Immediately, we felt better. She brought us the same dress from the previous visit and gave us lots of attention. For every question we had, Georgia, the seamstress, would stop what she was doing and graciously attend to us. We never felt like we were putting anyone out, but instead like they really valued our patronage. We also felt like we could trust them. On another whim, my fiance decided to try on a new dress that hadn't been in before. The staff were excited to see the dress on her since they had not yet seen anyone try it on. It turned out to be perfect. They were very accommodating about scheduling the alterations and even made an exception for us with a special alteration request. We put our money down on the dress and left feeling victorious. While this is how a business SHOULD handle customers, and it's sad that one really can't expect that experience but only hope for it, it's such a rare treat to be helped by people who you feel really care and know what they're doing. Nikki and Georgia were so personable, professional and knowledgeable that we felt like we were doing business with friends. I have a new appreciation for that place. read more

My daughter and I went to a David's Bridal in the St. Louis area to try on wedding dresses. Although, the young ladies helping us were extremely nice, they were assisting other brides at the same time. They were not very knowledgeable and the experience for my daughter, was just OK. That is not what a future bride should experience looking for a wedding dress. My daughter attends college at MIZZOU, and was ready to buy a particular dress, but had no idea of size she needed. They did not measure her at the store in St. Louis. At my own insistence, I told her to go to the David's Bridal in Columbia to have them measure her, then we would order the dress from the St. Louis store. My daughter called me after she went to get measured and said to me "Mom, I think I just experienced what I should have, at the David's Bridal in St. Louis!"" She gushed about how nice, attentive, and excited for her that Amy, Emily, and Lauren were for her, during her visit. They measured her, had the seamstress (don't know her name) come out and talk with her about size and what alterations she would need. They put the correct sizes on her for bra,slip, etc., and were so much more knowledable than the other store was. They did not measure her at all at the other store, and would have ordered whatever size we thought she should get! Amy and Emily made my daughter feel like a bride should feel! We will order from the Columbia store and travel there for alterations when the dress comes in!! I am so grateful to them for making it a wonderful experience for my daughter and all brides that come there!! Wish we went to the Columbia store to begin with!! read more

On my first trip to David's Bridal in Columbia, MO I was greeted at the door, no one seemed bothered by the fact I had quite a few people with me (unlike I experienced at other stores), and they quickly moved me into my gown browsing. One thing I didn't care for is the set up of the store...things aren't organized by size which would be the most convenient for shoppers in my opinion. However my stylist Stephanie Morefield listened to what I was looking for but also didn't let me get away without trying other styles on just in case my "yes" dress wasn't exactly what I thought I wanted. After about an hour or 2 I still didn't know if I wanted any of the dresses I tried on despite having a couple wow moments. Stephanie was patient and didn't pressure me in any way. I left only to return again after several visits to other stores. I made a short notice appointment for a monday evening and luckily Stephanie happened to be there and she again was my stylist. I knew which dress I came for but of course I had to try a couple others on just in case. She again was very patient with me all while having to help another group. I never felt like I was rushed or unimportant at all. We tried on veils, belts, etc and after everything I finally said yes to the dress! I purchased my wedding gown from this store on 3/7/15, and I could not be happier with my David's Bridal experience! I was pretty nervous going into my first appointment in February, but as soon as I started talking with my consultant, Stephanie, I knew I was in good hands. I turned out to be quite indecisive, and she pulled a great variety of dresses for me to try on. I narrowed my decision down to two dresses, then we came back on the 7th to pick out The One. I brought my five bridesmaids, my future mother-in-law, and my mom, and the store was crowded (it was Saturday, and prom season was in full swing), but there was no problem. I tried on the two dresses and different combinations of accessories with each, and Stephanie picked the perfect type of veil to go with the dress I ended up choosing! Immediately after we picked my dress, we had an appointment for my bridesmaids. Stephanie was very attentive, bringing several dresses to each girl to try on, then keeping track of everyone's favorites so they could order later and from different locations. I am so, so happy to have worked with her for my appointments, and I can't thank her enough for making my experience so special and fun! I would recommend this store to any bride-to-be! read more

I read though the hand full of reviews that there were and I honestly don't know why they're all bad. I guess people only do a review when they've have a bad experience! To say in the least I had an absolutely wonderful experience at David's Bridal. I set an appointment during a wedding show held in town and I went in to start getting ideas for wedding dresses. It is also very important that I suggest BROOKE! She took care of me the whole time and she couldn't have done a better job. I didn't know what style and I didn't have any clue of what I wanted my wedding dress to look like and by dress 4 she knew exactly what I wanted. She assisted me in finding the perfect matching vale and without her I wouldn't have had a better experience. They knew from the get go I wasn't planning on saying yes to the dress and buying anything that day. They still went all out and did everything to make sure it was a successful appointment. We made a lot of head way and I have more ideas now that I've had one appointment. We went in not knowing wedding colors or what style of dress I wanted and now both are picked out. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BROOKE. She will make sure you get a 5 star visit regardless of knowing she is getting sale that day or not. read more

Kaley was the best ever! Teh whole store experience was wonderful. I walked in without an appt, but they worked me in very quickly -- and on a Saturday! Kaley was very knowledgeable and always upbeat. She didn't pry with too many personal questions. She showed me around the store and let me choose dresses after listening to what I had in mind. She asked pertinent questions and helped when I was stuck between two dresses. She didn't push me and let me try the two dresses on again and again. She asked the alterations person 00 Georgia to explain what would happen with the dresses (bustling, hemming, etc.). That was very helpful. The manager also popped over and helped with my considerations. I haven't decided on which dress yet, but I will definitely be returning to David's in Columbia. I felt so good while I was in the store. Everyone was soooo nice and not rushing me, even though the shop was busy. I am plus size and can tell you that there aren't many other places where I've felt so good about trying on clothes. Even if you live in St. Louis or Kansas City, it would be worth the drive to go to this store! read more

These ladies are fantastic. I'm more of a girl who likes to support less franchises and more local businesses, so I always thought I would find my dress at a small boutique. However, with only three months to plan a wedding, that option was out. So, I went to David's Bridal expecting to just settle on a dress I could live with. What actually happened is that I found a dress I'm completely in love with, customized it to fitting personality and my wedding, and I could not be happier. Jessica was my bff, maid of honor and bridal consultant all in one, as my bridesmaids and best friends live out of state. Emily is great, she even occupied my 7 year old daughter so I could focus on getting everything right. I have had such a pleasant experience here and highly recommend shopping here. read more

I said "yes" to the dress at the David's Bridal in Columbia, MO today and my experience was great!! The multiple staff that assisted me were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their assortment both in store and online. While this location only offered limited merchandise, they were knowledgeable about products/lines offered in the other (larger) locations as well. My consultant was Stephanie, who was very sweet and made the whole process a breeze since she was very experienced with the company. I didn't know what to expect as this was my first time trying on dresses, but would definitely recommend David's Bridal to my friends after my wonderful experience with the great products and friendly staff. Just went to David's Bridal in Columbia today and had a fantastic experience! My bridesmaids and I made an appointment and they were ready for us as soon as we arrived. We were looking for the bridesmaids dresses, but didn't have too specific of an idea of what we were looking for. Our specialist, Anna, was so friendly, quick and really patient while we tried on dresses of all styles and sizes. She never rushed us and answered all of our questions in a knowledgeable and friendly manner until we found a selection of dressed that everyone liked. I have only been to Davids Bridal twice, but both time I have had the beat experience! I scheduled my appointment by phone which was incredibly easy! Shaina was my go to gal, which is incredibly patient, kind, and knew exactly what I was looking for before I did! I definitely recommend her to anybody who walks in the door at Davids Bridal! Yesterday was my second visit and I had my bridesmaids looking for dresses and once again Shaina was on top of it all! I told her the look and colors I wanted and she brought back dresses that were within our budget and absolutely stunning! Went to David's Bridal after looking at a few other dress shops with my daughter for prom with no luck. David's didnt have the biggest selection but had the best customer service, space and beautiful selection at affordable prices. Nikki the sales associate was fantastic. My daughter tried on 5+ dresses, fell in love with 2. Couldn't decide on one for the longest the and Nikki was so patient and friendly. Never rushing us to make the sale, never acting as if we were bothering her. She was very kind and gave my daughter pointers to help her decide. Other assoicates would walk by and give their honest opinions too, not just saying every dress was beautiful on her. Completely recommend this place. read more

I went shopping today not expecting to find a dress, I thought I'd just get started. My consultant Jess was so helpful, knowledgeable, and very patient! She made me feel comfortable and a priority right from the beginning. I must have tried on 25 dresses. Jess offered her opinion when I asked for help and helped me with the massive challenge of finding a dress that met all of my various needs. Two and a half hours later I had a beautiful dress, she even helped me find shoes, a wrap, and the all important "undergarments!" I'm basically done and the wedding isn't for 5 months. Today I had the best experience finding the dress for my big day! I started early because I never thought I would ever find what I wanted in such a short time and be so happy leaving with the feeling of the dress being found. I stopped by last week to check out dresses, not intending to find one, and ended up falling in love with a dress here! I worked with Hannah during the first appointment, she was great! I came in a week later to show the dress to my family and worked with Shaina. She was AMAZING! She was so helpful, and really seemed to enjoy her job. We ended up getting the dress, veil, and a sash. She even sold us on a bridesmaid dress! The manager Emily even stopped by and was so kind. I would recommend shopping here, they made it a wonderful experience for me and my family. My sister and 7 of our family/friends came with us wedding dress shopping yesterday. We didn't have an appointment scheduled, but they made time for us and were very helpful. This is the very first place we went to start wedding dress shopping, and both my sister and I said Yes to the dress! She has made my wedding dress shopping experience stress free, has answered all of my questions and has had the utmost patience with me!! I had a great experience with David's Bridal. Kaylee was absolutely wonderful. She was very helpful in finding the right dress for me. Her manager was also a big help. They didn't have the dress I wanted in my size at the store but they got on the phone and found a dress nearby. The staff was absolutely wonderful. I would say that I was scared to go in there because I had heard bad things about other stores but this wasn't the case. I found my dress in less than 2 hours and Kaylee was just a huge help and was very patient as I tried on several dresses helping me along the way. read more

I said "Yes" to the dress on 3-20-15. I worked with Michelle, who was amazingly helpful! She was very patient with my fitting and she was very helpful on my decision. I came into David's with my mindset on a certain style and I ended up picking out a dress completely opposite. Michelle made sure I tried on my 2 favorites a couple of times to point out the pros and cons. this really helped me make my final decision.
