During my first time in this store July 24, I only wanted to go to the perfume section. I am familiar with a nice variety of perfumes and stopped at the Gucci section to see what was available. The Gorgeous Gardenia and Gorgeous Jasmine were being showcased but were to be pre-ordered which was fine. I asked the saleswoman how long the sale was going on for and her response was unsettling because instead of giving me a date, she said "even if you don't have the money now they don't charge you until you pick up the product. They just put a card on file". It took me by surprise, because my intentions were to tell a few friends about the pre-order. My recommendation for the store is to make sure your sales people are being mindful of their language and focus more so on the customers experience than trying to pitch a sale when asked a question. read more

Great place the staff have been there a while and it feels like they know you. I really like the new addition they did recently.

I felt racially profiled at this dillards. I own several designer parfums and have made purchases. The women today stayed behind the counter, didn't assist until one of them finally saw me grabbing a tester card to use to sample parfums and asked "do you need help". While going back to whisper behind the counter. Of course I didn't buy anything and I'd rather go directly to the vendors instead. Don't go here, especially if you're not in a full suit and white. read more

I forgot my jacket at home before traveling to Columbia and was staying across the street at one of the hotels, so I walked to the mall and came into this Dillard's to buy a jacket. Not LGBT+ friendly and extremely rude to my friend and I based upon unfair bias. My friend, who is a closeted trans girl, and I, a trans male, were shopping for dresses. We were in the dressing room and a mall security guard knocked on the door. He sternly said there was a male suspect in the room, and he didn't mean me. So my friend had to change out of a dress and was scolded by a security guard. The guard then continued to laugh about the incident with a store employee, overall disrespecting her and I. The guard said to her that teens had been attempting to steal as of late and that he had followed us through the mall. He unfairly assumed that we were thieves as well as embarrassed my friend who just wanted to get clothes that would make her feel better. However, JCPenny had no problems with us and has much better prices as it is. Never going to Dillards again. read more

Honestly the one of the best stores in the Columbia Mall. Great selection of shoes, purses and accessories. Employees are helpful and are knowledgeable on what products they have. Clothing is a bit different depending on what location you are in, here in Columbia our demographics do not receive the same styles as other locations. Still a great place to shop. read more

I had stopped shopping at Dillard's the style was a little older for me, however, I visited it again in Columbia and there was sale and I made off with some amazing deals. I discovered that the style's were updated and I think I'm a fan again. read more

The customer service in the men's department was extremely helpful, and they went out of their way to help not only us but other customers at the same time. Good sales and We got great deals on two shirts and Under Armor items. We visited Columbia for business and shopped before we left and was soooo delighted for the overall COMO Service. read more

Way too cluttered for a store this size. I literally had to maneuver around numerous rounders and cases to find men's briefs. Poorly laid out floorplan. The store could use a second floor. The staff seemed friendly. Maybe Dillard's could entertain the thoughts of moving across the street to the recently vacated Macy's. Bigger store. Two levels. Then Dillard's could turn around and lease their store out to Kohls. Just thinking out loud. read more

I was shopping for an outfit for a funeral on Saturday. I had been to 6 stores before going to Dillards. I was dejected and in a horrible mood. I was browsing and carrying a couple of items that I was thinking about trying on when a sales associate approached me. She then proceeded to help me find the perfect outfit and then some. I thought I would drop by to pay my store credit card bill and do some shopping. It was a surprise that I could only pay at the store if I used cash or a check. I very seldom carry a checkbook and to be told that I could NOT use my debit card to pay my Dillards store card was frustrating. So frustrating that I did my shopping at another store that day and spent more than what I owed on my Dillard's card. read more
