My dress arrived in one week. I was so surprised! I got my alterations appointment the next day. I will say that was way more expensive than i thought it would be. It cost me $75 to hem the dress. I didn't find out until I went to check out. Hopefully it comes back great. read more

I bought a pair of beautiful shoes to go along with the dress, purse, and hair accessory for my grandson's wedding on July 6th. The shoes were wedges and being 76, I thought I could walk in the wedge better than a heel of any kind. Well, I was wrong. I was unable to walk in them so today I tried to return them in the brand new condition I purchased. Guess what!! Nope! unable to return because it's been ore than 7 days. I essence, David's bridal has NO return policy. Who in their right mind is going to wait until the very very last second to purchase items for an out of town wedding? I did get home on July 8th, however, have been sick so I went today as my 1st day out of the house. I would NOT RECCOMEND shopping there. So... 50 bucks out the window!! Come here if you want to be neglected. My appointment was for 4:30 and as soon as I got in the front desk woman started helping me however she couldn't get a single person to come up and help her with appointments coming in. I had two sets of people come in after me and get attended to before I did. No one could find the women who was suppose to work my appointment. So two women begin talking and one decides to help me. She asks me certain info and pulls the dresses for me. She then takes me back and introduces me to the woman who should have been helping me. She helped me for no more than 5 minutes before disappearing the entirety of my appointment. I see another girl near me getting help from 2 to 3 ladies and I can't get one. I passed by over 6 employees the time I was there and barely had any service. Then as I try to leave she rushes up to me saying she was about to get back to me and making an excuse about getting caught up with other people up front though she came behind me. She then tried to convince me that the dress I chose wouldn't fit and asked to see the photos I took. If she had been there to help me in and out, she could have seen what I was working with. read more

My sister-in-law and I were out dress shopping for my son's wedding when she suggested calling David's Bridal to see if we could just come in and look, as we were nearby. When we arrived, the manager, Margaret, was very helpful. I found the dresses I wanted to try-on, and Margaret didn't hesitate finding me a dressing room. After spending half the day looking for a dress, it was there I found what I was looking for. Not only did I not have an appointment, the manager went out of her way to make me feel welcome. Eighteen years ago, my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses were bought at David's Bridal, and today I felt just as welcome as I did then. I give this place two thumbs up! read more

This place really does have such a great selection of dresses!!! We first tried all the AugustA mall, looking for a dress for an event. I found nothing so tried David Bridal as a last Hope. Shopping at David's bridal has been my worst experience ever. From being told I was too fat for the dress, to then being lead to believe I had to purchase a bag to take my dress home in. The employees are rude. All they care about is making sales. The manager also wouldn't let my husband or myself leave the store until we left her and the store a 5 star review. This was after being told several times I had no business trying on the dress because I was too fat for it and a ton of other things. This was how they made it up to me. Charging me for a bag and making me leave a review. This store and it's employees are the biggest joke. Avoid at all cost. read more

Im very familiar with the store, though it was actually my first time going to get the dress of my dreams. I had an appointment for that day, & with the lady that was going to help me, she was very nice & was very kind, but i saw another lady i knew, & i asked if it would be a problem if i worked with her. There was no problem with the ladies switching out. The lady i worked with was named Jennifer, & she was great.!! Jennifer was very knowledgeable about every dress i tried on, & she matched every Accessory perfectly. She was very helpful when it came for me to actually put on the dresses since i was there alone. Her, as well as the other staff members definitely made me feel like a princess with their compliments. I honestly wasn't thinking I was going to buy the dress that day, but she mentioned to me about a special that was going on with the credit card through the store. I was hesitant, but sure enough i was instantly approved, & therefore was Able to buy my dress. Not only was that awesome, but she also put together everything else for the bridal party. 4 weeks to get the straps taken in on a David's Bridal bridesmaids dress. 4 weeks for a simple alteration. Seriously? Oh and if you call from a blocked number they don't pick up - ever. You'll just hear the operator say "please wait while your call is being transferred" for about 10 minutes and then it will just hang up on you. When I went there in person to just look at dresses they stop you before you can even walk in and look around, asking you to write down your name, phone number and email address so they can spam the crap out of your email. No not after I done ordered the tux and flowers and shoes to match that specific dress ! I wanted a full refund and then tried to tell me it would take 3-5 business days to get a refund ! I'm no stranger to David's Bridal. This is only because I visited on numerous occasions with friends over the years. My recent visit was for my sister who is set to tie the knot soon. The staff was great! We walked in without an appointment and they were able to fit us in. The store is large and has a good selection of dresses for all shapes and sizes! You can find wedding dresses, dresses for bridesmaids and mother of the bride. Also, the store now offers prom dresses. Many of the appointments during our visit was for prom dresses. They have lots of dressing rooms. They make the experience for each bride very personal. The staff provides everything. They will go find the dresses assist with fitting and more. During our visit, we had my niece and they were so nice. They directed me towards the restrooms and even warmed her bottle. Of course, this isn't a service they are required to perform, but is was greatly appreciated. My sister did choose a dress. I recommend David's Bridal for a huge selection of dresses and reasonable prices. read more

I bought my wedding dress at David's Bridal today. I had an appointment at 12:00, and Ms. Frances helped me. The normal appointment is supposed to last 90 minutes. I am 41 years old and have never been married. I tried on tons of dresses (like 10 probably). They had a lot of dresses I liked, and they were all reasonably priced. Ms. Frances was very patient with me and spent way longer with me than 90 minutes....more like 3 hours. She was wonderful and wanted to make sure I found the right dress since I waited so long to get married. I got a beautiful dress that I am very excited to wear! I came in today for my very first adventure into wedding dress shopping. I didn't purchase anything, so this isn't necessarily a review on David's as a whole. My appointment was at 1:30. I walked in right at 1:30 (as I imagined my consultant likely had another appointment that was ending at 1:30) and was greeted by the front desk and introduced to Tasha, my consultant. Tasha was great. We must have tried on 10 or more dresses in the hour and a half, and I imagine her arms are going to be sore tomorrow from carrying them around but she never said a word about it. I had mentioned that I'm not quite ready to purchase a dress today, as I have already lost 20 pounds and intend to lose another 20 before buying and she treated me with the same attention and consideration as I would expect if I had brought in cash and was planning to purchase on the spot. She was great with getting the dress to fit as intended with clips, lace up backs, etc. and she showed me a few different veils as well to "complete the look". Her eagerness to help me get a picture of what I wanted turned my nervousness into excitement. Seriously. She was awesome. I had an excellent experience here! I made an appointment online, which was very easy. The staff helped me, my mom and bridal party (my four sisters) immediately when we arrived. I have to give a shout out to our stylist Cass-she was awesome! She was so incredibly nice, helpful, and patient during our visit. She listened to the styles I said I liked, and was able to present me with options that matched that, and with options that I might not have thought of, and ultimately helped me pick out my dress that day. She also helped all of my sisters find their dress on the same day I found mine, and was able to offer great expertise and advice, helping us search through the racks for what we wanted. She was very patient and so good at keeping up with all the styles and colors they wanted to try on (there were a lot of dresses tried on that day!). We were also there for longer than we had planned on, but Cass was so nice and encouraging the entire time. All the other staff we interacted with were also so very nice, and helpful. First, let me tell you that I am a very picky person and was shocked to find the wedding dress. Second, I was blown away when Marianne was able to trade in my wedding dress I bought, which I didn't like as much as the new one. I had a very tight budget with our original wedding date, so I had to pick what was available. Thankfully, my fiancé and I moved our wedding date back to give us more time and I was able to get the dress that I really wanted without too much of a price constraint, it was on a sale, which helped me afford the difference I paid on the wedding dress. I walked in for my first ever bridal appointment not expecting to leave with a dress. Wendy was an awesome consultant and helped me narrow down my preferences. I had seen a $1,200 Vera Wang dress online that I loved months before, but I didn't mention it because I knew I couldn't afford it. She ended up pulling that exact dress for me to try on... and it was half off! I left with my dress and couldn't be happier. We had to order our specific wedding dress 4 times in order to actually get close to the right size to fit my daughter. It was not their fault, the sizing on the dress was just wonky. What made the experience so fabulous, was the awesome service we received from Michelle once the dress finally came in. She provided outstanding customer service! My maid of honor/best friend and I walked in for my first time ever trying on wedding dresses with making an appointment online 3 weeks prior. I was greeted immediately by the front desk. Then by my bridal consultant, I don't remember her name because she wasn't memorable. But they apparently double booked me. The consultant kept bringing me dresses I told her specifically I did not like (no strapless, and I even tried one on just to prove I didn't want it) and none were my size, either 2 to 3 sizes too small. Lisa and Melissa helped me when the store in Athens screwed up the size of my dress. They were able to expedite a new size for no extra cost. I would totally recommend this store for dresses and service! Here is my review for the Athens store that I have 2 Stars: I had a great experience when I first went here to find my dress. I got the perfect dress for me. The stylist was Camilla or something like that (I'm told she doesn't work there anymore). I tried on a size 12 in the store because that is all they had. It was too small each side of the dress was on the edge of my back so clearly small. When we went to figure out what size I needed she said a 14. She also exclaimed she is NEVER wrong. I asked her a bunch of times are you sure, yes yes yes. So I do not live here in April I ordered this dress and this past weekend was my first time I was able to try it on. My wedding is Oct 20th. Well the dress is too small! Go figure. So I ended up having to call around to see what the David's Bridal had in stores. Luckily I was able to work with the store in Augusta (thank you Lisa and Melissa!!!!) to expedite a size 18w to their store for no extra. I actually need a 16W but for that size they need 32 weeks to make it! Hopefully my alterations lady is a fairy godmother and can fix the 18. Anyway I won't be able to try my dress on again until 2 weeks before the wedding now. We went to the store today to complain and they were very apologetic but that's really all they can do at this point. Key thing I learned is always ask for the alterations lady to look at you wearing the dress to determine size. Also research your size as we have been told David's Bridal likes to order sizes too small so you spend money for their alterations. If you go to Augusta though you will definitely be taken care of! read more

The only reason I gave it any stars is because I loved my actual dress although they would not make the alterations I wanted causing me to have to wear a bustiers that, I realized in my wedding pics, made me look bulkier than I was. The dress would not stay up otherwise but they refused to alter it insisting it would be too tight??? It's not even staying up!! The buying experience was horrible. My "consultant" didn't even bring me the dress I ended up buying someone else did at the end of my visit (even tho it was one of the first dresses I asked for and my consultant said she couldn't find it) because my consultant had once again disappeared. Then my friends had to clip it for me because once again my consultant was nowhere to be seen. I loved the dress itself, but the experience and the fit were both extremely disappointing and every time I look at my wedding pics I get sad.. read more
