Then, head to a table and someone will bring your drinks to you when they're ready. Tombolan has a few tables inside and out. They also have lots of other, non-breakfast goodies like cakes, macaroons, etc. that are fun to take away. I like to buy a dozen when guests are in town, for special occasions, to take to work... This way we have a true opinion on gelato in Vicenza. :) This little shop has plenty of outdoor seating and by the looks of what the customers were ordering they have great capaccino as well. There is plenty of foot traffic between the shop and the tables. Also, one of my favorite aspects of this shop is that the tables and chairs are in the street. Cars are only permitted if they have a pass and this section is foot and bike traffic for the most part. The decor inside is fun and refreshing. There's a large wall with a black and white photo of a couple sipping drinks together, some uniquely desinged bum chairs, and some more whimsical art on the walls. Now to the best part.... THE GELATO!!! It was fabulous! I loved my creme caramel and my daughter thought her fragola was great. I will say that she still prefers Pretto's fragola, but loved this one too. The location is worth the experience and the gelato is delicious. If you like people watching this is the spot for you! Another one of my favorite things about Vicenza is that no one is in a hurry to get you out of your seat. So, you can sit back and relax and just take in the view.
