We were one minute past the 10 minute policy, we had hit a lot of traffic that morning. When we got there, they refused to see him because of the policy, even though I explained he wouldn't be back for a year and had a 6 AM flight the next morning. For one minute, one minute! They would not see him despite the circumstances. I also asked if they could just do the ice treatment like they did at the Cary office and they would not do it. This was such terrible customer service! As much as we spend for these services, and due to the extenuating circumstances, I would think you could make an exception for one minute. If I am going to get these services I want to go somewhere that shows care and concern for their customers. I will not be going back and do not recommend it at all.

So that tells me there's a problem with the corporate headquarters and the actual staff. I go every year on or around Halloween. I normally see a PA who's terrific but getting past the front staff is a big issue to me. I have been going to this dermatologist organization since I was seven years old when my mom took me in the 70s. So they're on Halloween I come to check in for my appointment. They say you have a blah blah, blah co-pay, I say I've already met my out-of-pocket for the year. I don't owe anything. This young ladies say we have to take money in this is what they told me like a group of people ganging up on me. They each tell me they must have $100 deposit or leave my credit card on file. (They don't say anything else about my co-pay because I have insurance). They keep this up for at least 20 minutes refusing to check me in because I refuse to make a payment like they have requested. They no longer want my insurance co-pay. They won't $100 or my credit card on file! I'm not doing any of that I know I do not owe, because I have already paid my deductible and my out-of-pocket, I worked for the company. I am now insured with! I know it's going to take this corporation at least 30 days or more to refund my money that I pay them. I asked for the manager they reply "she's not in," right there the manager walked in the business has been open for nearly 2 hours. I ask to speak with the manager privately. The girls at the entrance to the practice of course have told her what is the problem. She comes in the room, armed with this information. She never evaluated the chart or my Insurance before speaking with me, she only listened to the people working the front desk who are supposed to know what the hell going on! The manager invites me to a private room, i've tell her why information here's what I say can't you call your direct? Blue Cross Blue Shield, North Carolina representative for commercial accounts, no, she says, thinking there is a problem here at this clinic, I explained to this manager that I do not owe a co-pay because I have met my deductible and my out of pocket funds. My mom took me to this business when I was 7 to 8 years old, I know this business has been in three different locations right there where they currently are operating. I know one of the founding physicians, personal home number. The doctors who started this clinic were 100% awesome caring for their patients now none of them are with this practice, certainly some of them have retired. Others have moved away from the area, and still others have left their business when it turned to a corporation meaning a for profit shit hole. These ladies that I encountered in the front office on Halloween day, said they have to collect the money that is what they are told by corporate! I tried one last time to get to my appointment by now the nurse/technician is wanting me to come to my appointment so they can keep their schedule moving along, I'm taking up too much time for them to keep the PA on schedule. Manager never checked my account which has recently gone from paper to computer. Apparently there is no one higher up than the manager, give me a break. That is BS, I leave because I now know I have taken up at least one hour of working time for at least three individuals to ladies check in plus the manager. If I had paid my co-pay as insisted upon by these ladies, it would have taken the corporation a minimum of four hours for one person to refund me my money. How do I know this because I've received a refund check and it took six months to a year for the refund and then it was in my dead husband's name. All of the years of care that I received from this clinic (prior to the purchase from Central dermatology) in the past was 100% the best care I ever received and now the care is questionable at best. It's a beautiful space! They're located in a building with a large parking lot, just behind the All Starz Academy, near the Parkside Town Commons shopping center off O'Kelly Chapel Road. They specialize in treatments of the face, body, nails and hair. Can't make it to the office for a visit? No worries, make an appointment for a virtual consultation. Additionally, they offer treatments including chemical peels, Kybella, vitamin injections, microneedling, laser hair reduction, and many more. They even offer ear piercing! Pricing is all very clearly listed on their website, too. Clara Dermatology visits and services can be paid for with an HSA/FSA card, cash, check, or credit card. However, they do not work with or bill any insurance plans. That being said, they can provide a coded receipt which you can submit to your insurance plan for out-of-pocket reimbursement. Note that Medicare and other government insurance programs will not reimburse for these services. Pro tip: you can pay for sunscreens with your HSA card! She has a very professional but friendly manner and explained every step what she was doing and why. She completed my skin check, measured and photographed several spots so that next year they can be compared. This makes me feel secure as I have a family history of melanoma. Dr. Cheng also had enough time to remove a couple of moles, skin tags and wisdom spots at the same visit. I feel very fortunate to have received such great service. To be honest I originally tried to make an appointment at a Duke clinic. The first available appointment was late August. I am so glad I found this practice. Had rhinoplasty in 2019. The consultation went great. The staff was great. No complaints there at…read moreall. Results were not anything like I expected and 2 things were missed completely! I asked for the tip to not look as bulbous and to be moved in closer to my face and now it sticks out farther than before. I addressed my concerns with Dr. Finn, mentioned he forgot to smooth the side lumps on my bridge and flatten the bulge of cartilage on the right side of the tip and the shift in his attitude was disheartening. I then got told I was "chasing perfection"! He agreed to fix the bridge, but wanted to actually widen the tip. Absolutely not! I did/do have a big nose so widening the tip that was already too wide was not an option, especially if the bridge would have been smaller! Anyways, it's been six years and my nose looks even worse now. Nostrils flare more when I smile, a piece of cartilage is prolapsing into my left nostril, it's more crooked and droopy. I did have a complex case so I feel like if you have a simple fix or two, then he would do a good job. I just really didn't appreciate the attitude I got when discussing a revision and I feel like for 8K it should have looked much better!!!
