I have had tremendous success here. Initially brought my daughter in for a consultation about a shoulder problem. He said she needed physical therapy and didn't charge us for the visit. That shocked me! I have dealt with hip pain my whole adult life but just gritted my teeth through it but that experience made me think about asking him for help with my problem. Oh my goodness, I'm so glad I did! I was out of alignment from years of being thrown off ponies as a kid. It took about 5 visits to feel amazing but I felt so much better even after the first one. Dr Shores is a "True Healer". I've been going to chiropractors off and on for 15 years due to a nerve issue that no one has been able to help me with. My occipital neuralgia is very painful. I am an avid weight lifter and athlete. I went to Dr. Shores for my back last week because I had been experiencing pain in my back. Dr. Shores found that I have been over training and gave me a new workout plan to follow which has been incredible. He also found that my neck was completely unaligned and adjusted it. I was referred to Dr. Shores by a friend of mine who has chronic pain. She is extremely particular about who she sees for her health so I knew when my son needed a chiropractor I should ask her for a referral. Months ago my son, who has played football for 10 years, injured his hip during track. He was in agony ( and this kid is tough). You could literally see his hip out of place. Dr. Shores took care of him in just a few visits and also found a few other things that needed attention. He took time, listened and only adjusted if absolutely necessary. I've been to chiropractors for the last 20 years and typically it's a one size fits all approach. Crack this, that and the other... and send you on your way. Now, a couple months ago my lower back was in pain (probably from sitting at my desk for hours a day on zoom). I went in and he quickly took care of that but then also recognized that I had neck issues. I didn't even mention it because I'm so used to the pain I don't even notice it anymore. For years I've lived on motrin (3-4 a day) for headaches. He took xrays and showed me that the curve of my neck was backwards, likely from an injury. Now other chiropractors have told me about the curve but never to the detaiL of accuracy. He could tell when the injury happened as well. Over the last couple months Dr. Shores has worked on this area. His technique is unlike anything I've ever seen. Using strength testing to identify exactly where the root of the problem is. He never adjusted anything unnecessarily. His technique is extremely precise. The headaches reduced over time and at this point it's been 3 weeks since I've had a headache...that's a record for me! And as a bonus, I have a condition when it's cold where my finger tips loose all circulation, go completely white with no blood flow and it is extremely painful...it's gone! Dr. Shores said if he fixed my neck that could happen. Sure enough it did! Which is a lifesaver because I lift weights regularly at the gym and now that my gym is outside and it's freezing, that would have been a show stopper for me continuing to go because of the pain I would have been in. I've been seeing chiropractor since I was a young teen (I'm 26) for severe migraines, neck, back, and hip pain, as well as, TMJ. I've always felt that I was dismissed and adjusted in standard way that didn't actually help improve anything long term. I started seeing Dr. Shores 7 months ago and from the start, he was more thorough than any chiropractor I had seen before. The first appointment was X -Rays/consultation and he would not adjust me until he had reviewed them and came up with a plan. In contrast to the chiropractors I've seen that just begin blindly cracking, I thought this was great. Immediately, he discovered the root of my issue is a neck injury that likely happened about 10-15 years ago that had cascaded into my body over correcting in other areas causing pain and misalignment. He gets to the root of the problem whether it be structural, emotional, muscular, even allergies or vitamin deficiencies. I have been treaed by Dr. Shores for one year now. I came to him for three health issues. The first was nasal blockage problem I have had since I was twenty and I'm now seventy. I was unable to sleep at night and was using Afrin which is a nasal steroid spray. I had been to many specialists for this and nothing they did helped much. Dr Shores treated the problem and within a month I was off the steroid and breathing at night. That was eight months ago and I'm still good. The second problem is my knees. Both knee joints are bone rubbing bone. My left knee is worse than the right. Dr. Shores determined my left leg was shorter do to my body being out of alignment. He adjusted me and prescribed an oral supplement for knees. I still need occasional adjustments but I walk and stand twice as long as I used to with less pain The third problem is a condition that I have had since I was about twenty also. I have a reocurring condition that mimics flu symptoms. I am sick with this more than I am well. The doctor has treated me including using supplements and I'm much better. He continues to work on this problem for me. Dr. Shores is truly an amazing chiropractor. He has cured me of one issue and vastly improved my other two issues.
