But Lauren, the PT, never did come in, and when she did at the very end, it was to commandeer the computer since hers wasn't working, as we just stood there. Lauren gave a snarky reply to a legitimate question and I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I hope she was just having a bad day and doesn't make a habit out of it, but I won't be going back to find out. My fabulous neurosurgeon had this place on a list of recommended providers, but not anymore.

They don't ask if you already have X-rays. If they return a call, one person says, "hey it's me". If you return someoneo call, and tell the person, FOUR times, the name of the person you are calling for, she says, "I need to find out who called you". I witnessed a nurse giving pre-op and post-op surgical instructions in the waiting room! I know what pain meds his insurance will cover pre-surgery, they will give him something after surgery and immobilize his arm. He can use his current PT or a new one after surgery. This is all a HIPAA violation. There were 5 people in the waiting room who witnessed this interaction. I have severe medical anxiety due to medical trauma and supply a FULL, typed medicial history and ways to lessen my anxiety during the visit. It states to "read entirely before engaging patient". Nurse taking my BP missed the memo. She tried asking about allergies. Referred her to my paperwork. She asked another question; same response. She spoke to me during my BP reading (not supposed to). Met with the doctor. Went as well as expected. His attitude was apparent and he had no intention of assisting me. He can't understand a frustrated tone. He was more interested in chastising a patient in pain. If it didn't involve invasive procedures, he refers you back to your primary. I walked out angry and upset. Unprofessional office. I recommend avoiding this provider like the plague.

Although, we have been in this clinic before, and no one cares about it. This individual must know that PTSD is not a sign of weakness it is a sign of Absolute Strength, PTSD is earned by doing what others Fear. So, to answer this ignorant staff member (James) question the answer is: No, a service animal does not need to be certified, registered, or licensed under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in the United States. What the Law Requires *No official paperwork: The federal government has no official test, registry, certification, or ID card for service animals. *No professional training mandate: Owners are legally allowed to train their own service animals. *No gear requirements: Service animals do not have to wear a special vest, cape, tag, or ID badge. *Task requirement: The animal must be individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability. Online Certifications and Scams *No legal weight: Many websites sell online "service dog registrations" or certificates, but the Department of Justice does not recognize them. *Not allowed as proof: Businesses and public places cannot legally demand certification, ID cards, or special proof as a condition of entry. I fell off of a billboard 30 years ago and have suffered neck and back pain the whole time time. My pain doctor had quit seeing patients so I decided to see this doctor who has an office in Benicia where I live. I was skeptical about the reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Dr Anand was thorough and kind. He looked at my MRI for my back and showed me things no one else told me about. He said he would assess my neck pain at another appointment. He refilled my pain medication but less than I had previously. He spent a long time talking to me and I was very pleased with his care. I then had two appointments in his surgery center. I was seen fairly soon after arriving. One injection in my shoulder where he had an X-ray machine looking at where he put the injection. The second time he did a test on my back that was painful, but he did give me a pain shot beforehand. During both procedures he was compassionate and caring and explained thoroughly what was happening. Afterwards he spent time showing me what he saw and explained how he would proceed. All in all I think he talked to me longer than any doctor ever has. I have hope after seeing Dr Anand and think he is a great doctor.
