Thank you yelpers for pointing me in Sheila's direction!…read more I just moved to the area from LA and needed to tone down my recently highlighted hair...which was overall just a lot lighter than I wanted it to be. The salon is small and cute and very comfortable- a refreshing change from the large, crowded salons I've been to where you get passed between hairdresser's assistants hardly seeing your stylist- hate that! Sheila took her time getting to understand what I wanted to change and listened to my concerns that I'm getting married in 3 months and I didn't want to further damage my distressed hair :) She listened patiently and understood and gave me her recommendations on what we should do. She was great in giving me options, laying out the pros and cons, without pressuring me into anything. We ended up doing a semi-permanent color throughout most of my hair (leaving out a few highlights) and toned the rest. It looks great, and was exactly what I needed. Sheila was lovely, it was like getting my hair done by a friend. I'll be coming back to freshen up before my big day :)

Sheila has been my stylist for *gasp* almost 10 years. I am one of those people who went from…read morestylist to stylist, trying to find someone who would actually LISTEN to my requests. I found that, and so much more, with Sheila. I followed her through two moves, the second of which was to open her own salon, and was happy to do it. Sheila is a color expert. I had to start coloring young because of grey hair and have never, not once, been disappointed with my color. Shelia also does keratin for me and waxing. Her salon is small. Just her and one other stylist. But it's very warm, and comfortable. I look forward to seeing Sheila every 4 weeks like clockwork.

Purchased a groupon for a cut and full highlights. I arrived with my outrageous mess of fluffed…read moreout frizzy bleached to the max hair. She didn't look at it twice.....put some nice highlights in it, gave me a stylish textured cut I love, and all this took less than two hours - a lot less. So I like Kim - she's personable, keeps the conversation moving, doesn't doddle and I got what I came in for, which was great color and a good cut. There is no downside. No day after uh oh. She's good at what she does.

I cannot speak to the quality of Kim's work because I ultimately never became a client. Here's why…read more I purchased a Groupon for Kim4Color on 10/11/26 and immediately went to her website to schedule an appointment. I requested an appointment for 10/13/26, and my request was accepted. My Groupon included: Haircut + Full Highlight + Blowout + Final Fix Treatment After booking, Kim asked me to send photos so she could evaluate my hair, which I did. She then informed me via text that the service would require two separate two-hour appointments. She explained that my Groupon could not be applied until the second appointment because Groupon purchases require three days to process. She also sent me a link to purchase an additional coupon that could be used during the first visit for an all-over color. I explained that I was not interested in splitting the service into two appointments. I was specifically looking for a single appointment before the end of the week, which is what I believed I had purchased through Groupon. Kim then told me she could complete everything in three hours rather than four and indicated that my Groupon could be used for the service. Based on those messages, I reasonably assumed my Groupon would be honored despite the three-day processing requirement. The communication became increasingly confusing. At one point, Kim questioned why I had not purchased the additional coupon she sent. I reiterated that I only wanted the services included in my Groupon package. To be fair, her website did state that Groupon purchases require three days before use. However, based on our text conversation, I believed that requirement had been waived. When Kim later insisted that the Groupon could not be applied, I asked to cancel the appointment. Her response was "ok," and she informed me that the scheduling service would generate a cancellation fee. At that point, I sent the following text: "That is baloney. I asked online for an appointment for my Groupon. You accepted my appointment for less than 3 days after I purchased it. Why did you accept that earlier day if my Groupon was no good? Then you tell me I need two 2-hour sessions without asking me. I tell you I just want my Groupon deal. You try to talk me into another coupon for a root color? I politely cancel an appointment that has been nothing but a hassle, and now I'm getting charged a cancellation fee? Let me have the scheduling service's number, please. I am going to gift my Groupon to another person and leave an extensive review for you." Kim's response was: "Hi I don't have time for this. You're cancelled. Take care." I'm sorry this review is so lengthy, but I don't believe any of this needed to happen. A simple and clear explanation of the Groupon policy from the beginning could have prevented the entire situation. I encourage prospective customers to read reviews from multiple sources, including Yelp and Google, in addition to the reviews displayed on the business's own website. I found that the reviews across different platforms painted very different pictures of customers' experiences. Tracy C.
