I had just turned 65 and I told him I thought Medicare would cover them. He told me no they won't. So I had my surgery today and to some it up... It went perfect! Dr. Sabet isn't your run of the mill doctor. He actually cares about his work and it really shows. I previously had surgery at Kaiser and they didn't do a great job... This time I around I set out to find a doctor who was passionate about his work and made it his top priority to get me good and strong so I could snowboard again. I went to a few doctors before I found Dr. Sabet and none of them seemed like they cared much about my goal of getting back on my snowboard. One doctor even told me I should consider taking up skiing. After hours searching the web I came across Dr. Sabet's website... People left amazing reviews all across the web and I thought it was too good to be true. When I came in for my first visit... I knew from the moment I met him he was the guy I wanted to fix my feet. He has the best attitude of pretty much any doctor I've ever met. Prior to my surgery I met the entire army of people who were going to be working along side Dr. Sabet and everyone of them reinforced my decision. They all cared about getting my feet back to 100%. In my last surgery... My doctor put in pins to support the bones while they were healing but that was it. Dr. Sabet built my foot like a tank with 5 screws and a plate... I feel like I am going to be unstoppable. My wife was also super stoked on Dr. Sabet as well. All the other doctors that had surgeries today came to the waiting room and called the name of the patient and said they were done with a very cold shoulder. Not Dr. Sabet... He came into the waiting room, spotted my wife and went and sat right next to her. He told her the surgery was complete and everything had gone amazingly well. He explained to her about the screws and plate he put in my foot and assured her I will be stronger than ever and back on my snowboard in no time. All in all... In 2015 Dr. Sabet did hammertoe surgery on both of my feet. Right after the surgeries, i noticed some toes were not straight and over lapped others. One toe was very wide at the base. He told me it could be up to a year to properly heal. It's 4 years later and I still have painful, crooked toes. He has great bedside manner but his surgical skills are not good. When I went to see him recently to point this out he siad, I could have more surgery or use toe wraps on the toes. I was not happy and his last words to me as I walked out the door were." In contrast, I found Dr, Sabet to be more thorough in his assessment of my problem and more willing to take the time to explain the issue and the potential treatment methods.
