I also struggled to plan my meals and incorporate an exercise routine into my life. Adam helped me create habits and lifestyle changes that have improved my life tremendously. Every session began with an update on my life. During the first few sessions we looked at my skills and interests. We figured out why my current approach wasn't working. We then tried different approaches until I was able to sustain them over long periods of time. Now they are habits I am proud of. I have paid off my student loans, I'm eating healthier and exercising regularly. Adam offered lots of insight into my situation. He also had lots of ideas and tools to make life more manageable. He was able to help me see things I could not see. He really put things into perspective for me when I needed that. He is very kind and understanding. I always felt he had my back and genuinely wanted what was best for me. Now I don't feel overwhelmed anymore. I procrastinate less and I'm better able to manage my time and my To-Do list. If you have a duel diagnosis I really do not recommend using Melissa as your therapist. Not only did she misidentify the core issue (another therapist agreed that her judgement was poor), she was contacted specifically to do EMDR as she is certified to do, (apparently, by a website that no longer seems to exist) and instead she used a modality she preferred. When confronted, she claimed there were "elements" of EMDR when in fact she used zero bilateral stimulation of any kind, no eye movement, nothing. Having now experienced proper EMDR I can say she misled me and wasted my time. I came to her for an APA-certified, scientifically proven therapy - not a therapy that only has anecdotal evidence. Proper EMDR should only take a few months and this woman dragged out our relationship this way for almost a year. She cost me precious time because she decided she knew best. Not only that, instead of recognizing my family as the ongoing cause of and genesis of trauma, she actively made excuses for them and pulled the very invalidating "but they're your family" reasoning when I was considering pulling away. I found this invalidating and frustrating even before I discovered her dishonesty. She comes from a very actively Christian background which I had no idea about when I hired her and so I am unsurprised that she defended the family unit above her client's best interest. In fact, if you're native or a person of color, you should know she still has her work on a racist, colonialist "mission" proudly displayed on her linkedin. In fact, I noticed that she changed the summary to say that what she was doing there was "home building" which is interesting because months ago it said she was there "church raising" - so I guess my email pointing out the shame of celebrating that extremely problematic thing inspired her to cover her tracks. Pretty gross. So not only does she believe that she gets to decide for her patients despite their specific and repeatedly stated wishes, choosing a non-APA certified therapy over a certified one, she's always believed the white savior knows best. People like her are insidious because they don't immediately present as bad therapists but anyone considering her should be very aware that she comes from a Christian background and she does as she pleases, at least to this POC client, while missing the deeper causes of trauma, focusing only on the surface stuff that she was spoon fed, rather than intuiting the true causes as another therapist immediately did. I want my year back and I will never get it but at least I can warn others.

I find that it has a clear and profound effect on keeping me relaxed and stress free. If I find that I am feeling particularly stressed out, I have learned to lie down and take 20-30 minutes to go through the Three Circle Flow process. What's amazing about it is that it always allows me to enter a more relaxed state then when I began it! I also found the hypnotherapy sessions I did with John to be very valuable in allowing me to connect to my inner wisdom and to be guided by it. One of the most important things I learned from John and from the Three Circle Flow process is to quote John: "The more you practice creating a link between feeling peacful and taking action to achieve your intentions, the more your desires will become your reality" -- I have definitely found this to be true in my life. In addition to what I've said, John is a very grounded, wise and compassionate human being, and it had been a pleasure to know him and to learn from him. I highly recommend John and Three Circle Flow to anyone wishing to reduce stress and to connect to and actualize their deepest intentions.

I called quite a few places and while I found people that I liked, I really wanted a place where I could be in person. Many people do this remotely or virtually and while they may work for some, I really wanted to be in person. Alex is a wonderful man who really not only cares, and he also, seems to be quite passionate about his job and helping others. For my first session, he prepared me well by speaking with me, sharing stories and getting me comfortable with the process. He told me that using hypnotherapy would be in a state where I was relaxed and conscious the whole time. I had done some research and so, was open to what he shared. The process was quite relaxing and enjoyable. I wanted to stop drinking and moderate my consumption. He spoke with me about the process, I felt relaxed and by the time that we did the hypnotherapy, I was ready. And, not only did it work, I am also ready to go back for my next appointment. I did dry January last year and while it was hard, I felt deprived the whole time. Now, I feel very satisfied and am happy with the whole process. I have to coordinate childcare, adjust feeding and nap schedules, arrange coverage, and plan my entire day around commitments like this. After making those arrangements and being fully prepared for the consultation, I received a last-minute cancellation with essentially no notice. While I understand that unexpected situations can arise, the way this was handled demonstrated a complete lack of respect for my time and the effort required to attend the appointment. An initial consultation is often a client's first impression of a business. Unfortunately, my first impression was disorganization, poor communication, and unprofessionalism. If a practice cannot reliably manage a scheduled consultation, it does not inspire confidence in the level of care and service they provide. I am deeply disappointed by the inconvenience and disregard shown to a prospective client. I would encourage this practice to reevaluate how they communicate with and respect the time of the people seeking their services.
