Had a very good experience at Hoag ER. Dr. Meyers and his team were very thorough and attentive.

What made that day even more meaningful was the extraordinary compassion, professionalism, and heartfelt care we received from the Labor and Delivery team. Words can hardly express how deeply grateful our family is for the kindness and dedication shown to us during such an important moment in our lives. Norma, Chelsea, and Emi cared for us with such warmth, reassurance, and skill that we immediately felt safe and supported. Their calm presence, constant encouragement, and genuine concern for our well-being turned what could have been a stressful experience into one filled with confidence and peace. We are also incredibly thankful to Dr. Brooks, whose professionalism and medical expertise guided us through the delivery with remarkable care and precision. Our appreciation continues for the post-delivery team--Sydnee, Helene, Carrey, Suzuki, and Jessica--who helped us through recovery with patience, attentiveness, and heartfelt compassion. They treated us not just as patients, but as a family welcoming a new life into the world, and that kindness will never be forgotten. We are also deeply grateful to the pediatric team, especially Dr. Lank, for the gentle and professional care given to our newborn. And from the bottom of our hearts, we thank our OB physician, Dr. Mozayeni, whose guidance, reassurance, and unwavering support throughout this entire journey meant more to us than we can ever fully express. This hospital is far more than a medical institution--it is a place where compassion, dedication, and human connection truly come alive. Because of each of you, the day our daughter was born became not only the greatest day of our lives, but also one filled with trust, comfort, and gratitude that our family will carry forever.

Pay station is at the main entrance of this part of the hospital. 2-East, the Pre-Op, RNurse Kelsey, Dr. Lance Betson (Surgeon) were so good with my wife, extremely attentive, compassionate, and welcoming. I couldn't be happier with them. Very grateful for them, very knowledgeable and patient with us! The Recovery/Discharge Nurses Vivian and Sarbrena were also amazing. Very caring and loving with us. Sabrina made a nice cocktail (hahaha) for my wife, I tried it, sooo good! They have so many waiting areas and food areas, lots of options. The cafeteria in the basement was nice too. Good variety of food. The hospital is very clean, well maintained, and spacious and modern. Extremely happy with our experience here!

When I arrived, I was informed the visit would actually cost nearly $400 once labs were included. The front desk staff did not seem knowledgeable about copays versus cash payments, which was frustrating. When I was seen by the doctor, he was rude and condescending, not friendly, and not helpful in answering my questions. While he did complete and approve my pre-op clearance, the overall interaction was very unpleasant. A week later, my surgeon's office contacted Exer because they still had not received my paperwork. I was then called by Exer and informed that they had lost all of my pre-op paperwork and asked if I could come back in to complete everything again. Because my surgery was scheduled within two weeks, I returned that same day. When I arrived to redo the paperwork, no one was at the front desk. The doctor was sitting in the office behind the desk. I asked if I could speak with Jeff, who had called me, and the doctor responded in a very rude and condescending tone, telling me to sit down and wait because Jeff was with a patient. Overall, the customer service at this location was extremely poor and unprofessional. Patients come to urgent care when they are unwell, often in pain, and paying a significant amount of money. They deserve to be treated with respect, dignity, and basic kindness. I do not feel the staff is adequately trained in patient communication, and I would not recommend this location until their customer service improves. I will say that Jeff was kind, apologetic, and professional, which I appreciated.

You come here n get out alive unlike some other hospital you'll end up in the morgue! This hospital is the equivalent Cedar Sinai of Orange County. Come back to read my review of Orange Coast hospital, I'm still mad as hell they put me through an unnecessary abdominal surgery, it was the mistake of my life to go there as I thought I was having appendicitis, choosing the right hospital is so important, I switched to Hoag n paid a higher premium but how much is your life worth? My sister died recently bc of the lousy treatment she got at 2 other hospitals in OC but she had Medical n had no choice. When I 1st join Hoag I took my husband in n was shocked the ER was packed we waited in such a long line, i asked n looked into it as i refused to believe these people would pay over $1,000 premium a month for this plan, as it turned out under Obamacare they were forced to take welfare recipients (or lose Medicare) on top of partnering w so many bad hospitals. A few years ago I guess under Trump, Hoag was unshackled they got rid of mediocrity n back to meritocracy. The hospital is back to being a 5 stars hotel, the ER was staffed w amazing doctors n nurses, everybody was so wonderful n caring, you get what you pay for, my eldest sister paid nothing in Paris, socialized medicine n she paid for it w her life at the age of 28. I feel blessed belonging to a place the 1% get treatment! So you know what to do to preserve our excellent health care.

She did have some nurses that had better bedside manner than others but that's to be expected I guess. The shining star here though is the Fudge Family rehab center located within. The staff here was beyond reproach and all of the PT and OT were outstanding. They treated her like family and kept her spirits up. Highly recommend this rehab facility! It wasn't just gym workouts, they got very creative in how to get her ready to leave the hospital with different out of the box type exercises. Can't say enough about this wonderful staff!
