I'm balancing myself the right way God intended by knowing what my core issues and what I have been created by God to become & the things I know that my family and my life have always taught me how I should be is drastically different than what the self professed psychologists that wrote the first psychology books that much of modern day psychology is based on by identifying disorders in the behavior of mankind. not to be morbid or fake deep but it's Actually so likely that i'm going to kill myself before the age of 20 if i don't get medicated properly sometime soon because i'm over everything i don't care about my appearance or future or friends or anything i'm not passionate about anything anymore food doesn't even have a taste and i'm living feeling like this every Fucking day but they still (after two years) won't provide me with mood stabilizers or antidepressents that work over at this fuckstablishment so if i do wind up killing myself i would like to request that the staff lower my coffin so they can really Let Me Down one last time. now that we have THAT out of the way, let's talk about some firsthand medical malpractice and patient abuse i've been a part of at this garbage place. my first time in david lawrence i was fourteen. i'm almost nineteen now. i was put into the crisis center because i had attempted to kill myself. after not even two hours, they sent me home with no counseling or medication, even though i ADMITTED i believed i was a threat to myself. they told me to come back in two weeks. i have been desperately seeking medication to help stabilize my mood and life for two years now, and david lawrence is the only place my shitty insurance covers, but whatever. that's beside the point. since seeking out medication here, i have received nothing but off-label pills with SIDE EFFECTS that could be considered "calming". yeah. that sixteen hour medically-induced coma when they fucked up my dosage was calm as all hell. every doctor at this establishment i have interacted with has been rude, inconsiderate, uncaring, and has flat out refused to listen to what i have to say about what's going on in MY fucking head. i'm pretty mad about this entire place. i've witnessed them tying people down to beds and shooting them full of tranquilizers because it was easier than listening to them cry. i've witnessed people going without food in their inpatient program because dietary needs are not taken into account. i've witnessed them forcing people who have struggled with eating disorders onto a scale. so, long review short, don't even breathe when you drive by the place. you might contract some of the radiating evil. read more

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE .I am 75 years old with a heart condition .I have had blood clots and should have never been prescribed 200mg Quetiapine Fumarate .This woman has no respect for peoples lives. I see a person at David Lawrence Center .This woman does not have any knowledge about depression .I was on Abilify 10mg for over 12 years and she stopped prescribing the medication .This medication must be tapered off of or here are the side effects i am having. Anxiety ,Concentration ,Confusion ,Depression ,Dizziness ,Hallucinations ,Headache ,Insomnia ,Irrabitable ,Joint Pain ,Light Headnness ,Mood Swings ,Nausea Panic Attacks ,Phychosis , Suicidal Thoughts ,Sweating ,Vomiting ,Blurred Vision ,Agitation ,Dry Mouth ,Faintness ,Fatigue ,Increased Appetite ,Muscle Pain ,Restlessness ,Sexual Dysfunction ,Then she cut my 3 .05 Clonazepam to 1 .05 a day no tapering off .She gave me 200mg of Quetiapine Fumarate .I took it 1 night and i lost all control of my body i had Hallucinations where it looked like i could run my hand through a chest in my bedroom .I was going to the bathroom and fell and Urinated and had a Bowell movement on myself i am 75 years old and i could not get up off of the floor .I weigh 200 pounds and my wife could not get me up .She had to call my daughter who is a Nurse to help get me off the floor .I am in a living HELL with the withdrawals .The director told me they were calling me in a refill on the Clonazepam for 2 a day .They wrote it in a way that it cannot be refilled until March 10th .The pharmacy has called them several times and they do not call them back to get the prescriptions filled .They are 0% concerned with a Human Life.When you look at their reviews they have 1- 5 star the rest are 1- star .David Lawrence Center does not deserve a 1-star .I am in a living HELL because of this so called Doctor . read more

I been taking my kids since early 2000 my low functiining autustic child back then when he got baker act he cant talk or do much for himself its ashame the staff wouldn't bath him or change his pull ups an on top he couldnt go to sleep on his own unattended and the freaking staff wouldnt do anything it was a dangerous place for someone like my son to be baker act in this place. There nor place around this area for this special type of choldren or adults that have to be baker act because they become aggressive but scared when they are in a place like this. I was here twice and they are in my opinion the biggest scam there is, if they baker act you then they never let you see a judge and lie to the courts when that happens, they are the counties defacto detox center so they get all the profits from criminal justice forced visitation and stays. You never actually receive a bill most of the time the next call is a credit collector. The best thing I can advise if you have to stay here is get your patient rights, and enforce them by calling HRS and reporting when they are violated. The doctors at this place in my opinion are idiots they try the latest and greatest to get you better and rarely depend on time proven and tested treatments. I was poisoned by the drugs they gave because they didn't monitor for side effects, and I refused to pay to be poisoned. They charged me $600 a day and refused to release me with out my SSN which is a violation of the Privacy Act of 1974, which states only the state and feds get your ssn, otherwise say Privacy Act. They treated her like a criminal of which she is certainly not. She was very depressed and they did not have a bed for her and told her to sleep on the couch in an open area with meth, heads, and criminals in orange jump suits circling her and the staff told her to let them know if any of them try to touch her. They did not give her a blanket or a pillow. Which she had to beg for numerous times. Well that certainly a very comforting safe environment. and this was against her will. This facility and the Naples Police Department seem to have a conflict of interest "financial benefit" relationship where they will arrest you and FORCE you here or get persecuted in their jail. The "care" here is imprisoning you for several weeks to months and then billing you by the thousands when you are released. Checked into detox last week for the full 5 days and it couldn't have been a better experience. The staff was on point and helped with everything I needed. The facility was clean and they even had multiple meals you could choose from, which were also great. Attended the speakers who came in daily who have been through the same hell I've been going through and gave us all great advice. I've been out for a week now and am starting to attend their after detox programs and meeting with an on site doctor about medications that help with alcohol cravings. You have to want to get sober and dedicate yourself to it if you don't want to die an early death. I'm positive this is the best decision I've ever made in my entire life. On top of taking a month to get back to me, which they never did I had to call them, they dont honor a medical card but yet the pain medicine and muscle relaxers those are ok. If you're not allowed mind altering substances then why on earth do you allow pain medication and muscle relaxers?? They force you to stay in a freezing cold environment for 24 hours while you see a doctor for maybe 5 minutes out of that time, they put you on psychiatric medicine telling you that you need to develop "coping skills" to deal with chronic kidney stone pain. They won't let you take your medicine that your doctors for years perscribe to you because they just don't believe in pain medicine. Apparently there is absolutely no medical cause for pain relief and they tell you to take ibuprofen instead. The worst mental health facility ever! My sister committed Suicide (April 2004) while under The Baker Act at The David Lawrence Center care! NO she can not post a review because she is DEAD!
