My dentist had given me a list of oral surgeons. I chose this one because it was the closest to me. I was very confused because this place is listed under many names, same address. When I called, the name that came up was 'Shore Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery' at 17 White Horse Pike, Suite 8 in Haddon Heights. When I searched for it online, there were several different names under that exact address. Anyway, I also had to reschedule my appointment (twice) and actually had no problem at all. When I finally got to the appointment, I found the office very clean and the receptionist was friendly. I didn't wait too before going back, and the dental assistant who took me back was very friendly. The surgeon came in and was nice, just a low talker, so I didn't quite catch his name lol. He did another xray. Then he hit me with what felt like 50 needles to numb me. That was the worst of it all. He finished pulling them in no time. The assistant came back in with my gauze and instructions. She even told me that it's a good idea to show the dentist a picture of my natural teeth. I'm reading these reviews and would never have gone there if I'd read them prior to my procedure. I've had better oral surgeons, but since this was a very cut and dry procedure, it went well.

I was leaving in three weeks for a two week cruise and expected to have surgery prior to my trip, I was wrong. I took them 6 to 7 weeks to get approved for surgery, ruining my vacation, them blaming it on my general physician not getting them my records in a timely manner, when my physician stated the records were sent within 48 hours of receiving request. after 7 weeks of pre approval for surgery, trying to schedule an appointment was near impossible. working out of state weekly and for security reasons could not carry a cell phone, Calling the office to schedule an appointment, I could never get someone to pick up, only option was to leave a message. Call backs came at the end of the day or next day, obviously missing the call. When every once and a while someone did pick up, and I requested to schedule surgery, I was told it was another office that did the scheduling, so I was put on hold going past the point of time allowed, 30 to 40 minutes, disconnected twice, told the woman who scheduled took the day off or was not in yet, past opening office hours. As a working professional out of state, I am booked six months out with travel arrangements working at large fortune 500 companies with big money and a careear at stake, I was limited to the days I could be available. I picked several days where I had flexability to change my travel dates to make myself available for surgery. On every instance, "3" where did get thru the front office then to the scheduler, every option day I requested was not an option for the surgeon, so in April 2023 they could not accommodate me in either June or July. It became apparent the office policy had no policy or concern for an emergency situation. I want to be clear, I have had no negative contact with personnel, just the lax tendencies toward my condition and situation. After over three months the only choice I have is to start the procedure to find another oral surgeon and start from square one.

After calling a couple of places that couldn't see me for days/weeks, I got an appt w/Dr. Raab for the following morning. I knew the molar needed to be pulled but was more than a little nervous about being able to get an appt so quickly. All fears were unfounded, Dr. Raab was calming and professional, the tooth was pulled quickly and without pain (I'm a self-admitted wuss when it comes to dental stuff) - I didn't even feel the anesthetic injection. Since the procedure, I've had neither pain nor swelling and the site quickly stopped bleeding. Later in the day, I received a follow up call from Diane to ask how I was doing and to emphasize the correct follow-up care. If I lived locally, I would continue to come here for all my dental needs. The place to go if you want to end up with a root canal on the WRONG tooth, hospitalized TWICE,…read moredenial of wrongful practices even with factual evidence, tooth pulled, C Diff, severe mouth infection...need I go on? In September I had a small pimple like bump on my gums. I was out of town and my normal dentist wasn't available so I came here. I'm usually weary of places that have all great reviews but this was the only place close by. I was told they couldn't find anything on the X-ray but that they "might" see a crack in tooth 6 (the tooth that is right in front of your face). They said the bump was from a likely infection and tooth 6 needed a root canal asap. I came back a few days later and they performed the root canal. It was at that point everything went down hill. I was in zero pain prior to the root canal. After, I was in SEVERE pain that had me unable to eat or talk. Lakeview said they do not provide pain medication and I should take Tylenol. I went back to their office so they could make sure the infection wasn't getting worse. They tried prescribing me an antibiotic I told them I was allergic to. Thankfully I caught their mistake and didn't have it filled. They then told me the pain was neurological!! What?!? They said there was nothing they could do. I then went to a different dentist who actually specializes in root canal. They did a CBCT scan and said tooth 5 was actually cracked and unlike Lakeview, they had evidence on the scan. Another root canal was performed but this time thankfully the new dentist provided adequate pain relief. Over the next several weeks, tooth 6 (root canal by Lakeview) continued to cause SEVERE pain and it was decided by an oral surgeon that it needed to be PULLED. In effort to not drag this out...I have had infection after infection including CDiff, nearly sepsis, hospitalized twice, and more. All because a root canal was done on the WRONG tooth! I called Lakeview and showed them evidence from the endodontist that performed the root canal on tooth 5 and explained I was told by TWO doctors that Lakeview performed a root canal on the wrong tooth. Lakeview said they would "look into it" but in the end did NOTHING. So aside from the very serious infections, I have paid over 10k out of pocket. If there are any attorneys out there that feel like taking on a slam dunk case with factual evidence, please reach out. Update 10/29 due to lakeviews wrongful diagnosis, I received major surgery on teeth 2-12 maxillary to remove the infected cyst which turned into infected bone that lakeview never handled. Update: 11/2 while I'm at the hospital for the 3rd or 4th time for IV antibiotics for a severe dental infection that may now be impacting my vision. Here's a breakdown of their legal responsibilities and likely illegal acts: Although pulp vitality and percussion testing were performed, the inability to definitively identify the affected tooth should have prompted further imaging, such as cone beam CT or periapical radiographs, or a referral for oral surgical evaluation (the latter which was done AFTER a root canal was performed) rather than proceeding directly with endodontic treatment. Proceeding with irreversible therapy despite inconclusive diagnostic results represents a failure to adhere to accepted diagnostic standards under N.J.A.C. 13:30-8.1(b) and violates the ADA's Principle of Nonmaleficence (§3), which requires practitioners to avoid harm when the diagnosis is uncertain. The post-surgical findings confirm that the lesion was extra-radicular, indicating that the root canal was not clinically indicated and did not address the actual pathology.
