In our initial consultation, Brian barely listened to what we were telling him. He preferred to look at maps, etc. I thought he knew what he was doing, so we went forward with him. After quite some time, I emailed him to ask for updates and if we could schedule a court date. His advice was to sit back and wait for the other side to act, so I did. We waited nearly 4 years with only minimal input from Brian other than receiving an invoice for payment. Then, earlier this year, a hearing was set for a summary judgement. Again, I spoke with Brian to give him details for our reply and he kept interrupting me, not listening and becoming frustrated that I was trying to tell him important details. Honestly, my impression was that he is on the autism spectrum and easily overwhelmed so I patiently gave him answers to specific questions that missed the important details of our case. He then notified us that he had to reschedule the hearing because he had a conflict... then nothing until today when he sent a journal entry he intends to send to the opposing council stating the judge ruled against us. We were not kept in the loop for years, he did not present our evidence (that the other side included lies and incorrect deeds in the original filing). When I questioned whether he represented our side, he replied that it wasn't about him....but he didn't answer the question. I feel that he did NOT properly represent us and cost us the judgment due to bad advice/lack of robust representation. I would NOT recommend Brian Huddleston and see that there is another review that is only 3 months old with similar complaints. This is NOT a competent attorney who cares to represent you.

They petitioned the court and guided us on our successful bid to obtain guardianship of our grandaughter. Thankfully, the guardianship was finalized in September. Unfortunately though, their business practices are 2nd-rate. After the initial retainers were paid, they neglected to keep us updated on the balance owed on our account. No emails, no summaries, no letters, no running balance. And then 9 months -AFTER- the court proceedings wrapped up, they filed suit against the grandparents to collect an outstanding balance owed. I was served with papers threatening suit if over $900 wasn't rendered immediately. In my opinion, this was a very shoddy business practice. Of course I paid.

My music is unreleased with good reason, the world will never truly be ready for it. Also we had our first child. That last part was pretty important. Nobody likes to think about dying or their partner dying. The only thing worse than dying? Dying and then having your family fight over your stuff or more importantly, who is going to take care of your children and how will they be raised. So with that in mind, we met with Penni and the process couldn't have been easier. She was very easy to set an appointment with. We sat down for about an hour and discussed all our options. On the more confusing parts she might offer up what she did for herself, but you are very much in the drivers seat and able to comfortably make whatever decisions are right fit you. After that initial session, we came back a few weeks later for a second one hour session. We reviewed all the documents, answered a couple final questions and then signed everything. We went in to get a will, but ended up also doing Power if Attorney and Advance Directive. (Not Prime Directive, that's a Star Trek thing. Also not Final Directive, that's not a thing at all but sounds really scary.) I highly recommend coming out to meet with a Penni. That first consultation was completely free so you have got nothing to lose. So just those two sessions and we were out the door with everything we needed to make sure if something happens to us, our daughter will be raised by an unsuspecting Seth Rogen. I feel like such a responsible adult now.
