Anyway this practice is in a weird…read morespace, from the outside you'd think its pretty slick but once inside the place is kinda dingy, the waiting room too small for COVID times (I ended up waiting in the hall outside the office). Speaking of wait times perhaps I am oversensitive to modern American HealthCare but if in my job as a professor I'd kept my students waiting 45min for me in the hall and once inside in the classroom (you can fill in exam room here) another 30 min with no explanation I'd have lost my job even with tenure. I guess being a doctor is different. BTW, those exam room walls are paper thin, I could hear pretty much the jist of the doctor meeting patients on both sides of me. Oh, the doctor- our meeting/exam lasted less than 10 mins. Its the best health care in the world!

She is very smart and asks smart questions. She has treated so many people that she has a great background. She comes up with a plan and goes over it with you so you know why you are doing what she wants and what the medicine will do. Can't rave enough about her caring behavior. She is a gem.

The only problem is Mercy needs better explanation before procedures…read more Colonoscopy (50 year old's dreaded procedure) needs more of an emphasis on taking the day off before procedure to drink the nasty concoction and be ready to have explosive diarrhea in about 12 hours (not for 12 hours). Not finding anything wrong made me think this was the worst part of the procedure. Do not try to be strong and run late with taking the concoction later to work till 6 PM... mistake. Take concoctionearly. DO NOT EAT ANYTHING THE DAY BEFORE THE COLONOSCOPY. Have your trusted friend pick you up from your house and plan to buy lunch after the procedure. The friend can then drive you home where you can be comfortable and in control. The procedure may take only 2 hours (if no problem)

However, when I went to use the women's bathroom, there was literal poop on the walls and in each stall. I was afraid to put my bag down. They were decent. I had to make another visit there this evening, into now the AM, and I was demanded by my doctor's office, which is with Mercy, to go because I got up to make a phone call, saw stars, and was on the floor hearing "hello." Mind you, I was still having awful pain in my feet along with water weight, which no one there was willing to go that far to figure out. Long story short, I was in a lot of pain. I don't take pain medicine. The last time in 10 years I took pain meds was on April 3rd for being bitten in the face by a pit bull. So tonight I asked for Tylenol. YES, TYLENOL.it had been very clear they pre judged me for seeking pain meds, because I smoked good marijuana before I went. Its legal, I didnt drive why would they not drug test me right off the bat or simply ask. I had to ask when I could go home..if I hadn't I would have sat in my hall room, I wonder who cares that the first that happened when I walked in my front door was hit the floor & FWI: im not falling because im high.

The waiting room has coffee, water, a restroom, is clean, and not crowded. I believe facility fees are pretty on-par, and the anesthesiologists have been great. I've never been sick after anesthesia and they always make me comfortable in recovery. They do woosh you away pretty quickly after recovery (as in, my husband was quite late for pick up in that he wasn't there when I was waking). After you're up, you're out in max an hour. My doctor (Caplin) uses this facility since he is an investor, and I'm happy with that.

I have several issues that have made past procedures at other hospitals/med centers awful because one of the staff would forget or not know how to accommodate and cause me pain/bruising/torture of some kind. I cant get over how amazing EVERY staff member is at StL Surgery--i came in with a migraine and Renaud's acting up--they took the time to make helping me with those issues even though they were completely unrelated (even though it would have been easier just to knock me out and get on with the surgery.) Everyone is EXTREMELY knowledgeable, caring, professional/VERY timely, and seem to really love what they do. I wish i could have ALL my future procedures there!! Other med facilities should really learn from them.

I went to this office to get all the tests and started on an allergy regimen. I really like the nurses and Dr. Tillinghast, my doctor. He's really funny and has a great personality. Usually it's pretty quick to get in to get allergy shots. The nurses who do that are friendly and the waiting room while you wait after you get the shots is nice and well stocked with decent magazines. It's always been easy for me to get an appointment on days and times that work for me, and on short notice too. Bonus for that. I always wait til the last minute! Loses a star because on more occasions than not when I see the doctor (only once a year usually), I have to wait for a looong time. Bring a book. I don't mind doing it once a year to see a good doctor. My only complaint is the wait
