I get the best cuts from her and she is always ready to help when I want to change my style, whether it be color, or cut, etc....When she was out of town, another stylist cut and colored my hair (Arlene) and she was phenomenal as well. Beautiful and modern salon with very friendly staff. Special shoutout to stylist Joe Cirafisi who I've followed for about 15 years. He is amazing, super talented and gifted with finding the "right" look. From where I'm coming, it's long drive to Peddler's Village but well worth the effort. This is your typical high end up charge salon. I am very disappointed that Peddlers Village allowed this to open in their quaint little village. Jade talked me into highlighting my hair with some process I had never heard of for over 140 dollars. My hair is now dry and brittle. I also asked her to angle my haircut and it has that triangle shaped look that is hard to manage. Don't be fooled by the "welcome home" sign. I am a local and have tried many salons in the area. Today, I had the best experience that I think I've ever had at a salon! Alyssa took the time to understand what I wanted and gave me the best haircut I could have asked for. She is truly talented. Afterwards David introduced himself and offered my daughter and I get our makeup done. Never any pressure to buy a thing. 9/4/2017 I am writing to let you know about our experience at the DAVID WITCHELL salon located in Peddler's village. First let me say... If you are looking for a location that will make you feel special and welcomed, look no more! We all know that finding the perfect stylist, nail technician, or make-up artist can be difficult. It has taken me many years to find a place I feel confident. Let me share my experience with you. I was planning my daughter's bridal shower and had things all ready to go located at Peddler's Village. I needed a local place to have our hair, make-up, and nails done. I found the David Witchell salon had opened up right across the street! I called and spoke to a wonderful employee who was friendly and kind. She listened to my different needs and understood that we were on a time constraint. It turns out her name was Alexa was she was a stylist and make-up artist. I quickly booked our appointments and everything could not have gone better. The place was warm and inviting. Everyone was friendly and kind. The manager, Erica went out of her way to make sure we were happy. She took the time to walk us out back to their garden and provide us with champagne glasses for a toast with the bridal party! The services were amazing. I actually found a new hair stylist! I am using Alexa for all my hair needs. My daughter fell in love with her ability to get her make up exactly how she wanted it. I had been assigned NiNi since Alexa was doing my daugther. Again, I was speechless. NiNi was extremely professional and easy to talk to. I felt calm and comfortable while she went to work transforming me. When she finished, I cried tears of joy! I have never had anyone make me look and feel so special. Afterwards, my daughter told me her experience with the nail technician was also outstanding! She had applied a color and just didn't like the way it was turning out. The nail technician asked to please allow her to try another color and type. My daughter agreed and of course this professional knew her product. She was right. The manicure and pedicure were now perfect! Thank you again to everyone who helped make my daughter's day special. I cannot tell you how much that meant to me. I went to David J. Witchell in Peddlers Village because I'd gotten a recommendation from someone who had gotten got a very nice cut there. David himself was overseeing the cut, and they talked to her extensively about what she liked, didn't like, etc. I was told that the philosophy was to assess ME - likes, dislikes, face shape, etc. - and give me a cut that suits my looks and personality. This is NOT what happened at all!!! I went in with a nice cut and a look that I was proud of, paid for an experienced stylist, and left with a humiliating, horrific and embarrassing cut. It looks NOTHING LIKE the picture I brought and what we discussed. It's absolutely TERRIBLE!!! Although Tina was supposed to "listen" to me, she misinterpreted everything I said. I brought a picture of a lovely, feminine cut - and walked away with a cut that looks like a man's cut. I showed her THREE pictures of myself with short hair and said "these are too short." Tina AGREED that they were too short, then cut my hair as short as those pictures!!! Tina cut off all of my hair!!! It's going to take MONTHS to grow it back!!! She said that she was going to leave it longer in the back, then cut the entire bottom half down to a fraction of an inch long. She cut up over the sides of my ears because she misunderstood how I wanted it to lay, even though I showed her with my hand on the picture I brought exactly where I wanted it to fall. I don't believe she actually listened to anything I said, and never asked to confirm what she heard before she hacked it off. Even the top layers of this cut are far, far shorter than the picture. I am truly embarrassed to be seen in public, and it's going to be MONTHS before it grows back enough that I can be even slightly proud of it. I am so completely humiliated that I'm wearing a scarf on my head (picture Rosie the Riveter). I can't stand to even look in a mirror. For the next three months I'm going to avoid being seen, and if I do go out I'm going to wear a hat. If anyone sees me I will have to apologize for my appearance. This hairstyle does not reflect me or my personality AT ALL. Even after I said that I didn't like it "fluffed up" on the top she did it two more times! Then she said that with it "flat" my head looked square. I have a perfectly oval head - the way she fluffed it up on two sides made it look square! Tina did not listen, and the fact that what she was cutting my hair far shorter than the picture and as short as the hairstyles I didn't like should have been a clue to her that she was doing something completely wrong. I nearly ran out of there in tears with a haircut that I am truly, truly embarrassed to wear. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT recommend this salon at all. Just don't take the chance. read more
