In the text message, it said that I could send deposit via cash app (never specified deposit amount) or just pay in studio. I was just gonna pay in studio. As I was checking my email last night, I saw that they sent me a cancelation for my appointment today. No explanation. I'm gonna assume that it was because of not receiving a deposit, but I also never received a reply when I inquired about the payment link. I understand that business practices have changed and that we're still in the middle of a global pandemic, but at no time did I receive a call or talk to someone personally. Communication through email and text messages ONLY is very unprofessional for what seemed to be a reputable business.

I chose boudoir as I havent done it before and I was feeling not so great about my body recently. I am SO glad I did it! Since i dont live in Philly I booked a hotel nearby and made a weekend of it. I was the first shoot of the day so I arrived at the studio the same time as my photographer Shannon and she was so great! We got in and got settled quickly then talked through the "why" of why I chose boudoir then we went through the items i brought and some that they had to pick my outfits. I opted to have them do my makeup since i pretty much suck at it and it was much cheaper than going out to buy all the items I would need. Shannon did a great job at it and I kept "my face on" the rest of the day and got so many compliments. Then on to the actual photos. I felt so comfortable in the presence of a stranger dressing down to lingerie and this is mostly because Shannon has such a great personality. She makes you feel comfortable. The poses were fun and she demonstrated each one and answered questions as we went through. i get kinda awkward with my hands so it was nice to have someone re adjust them and make sure every piece of hair was in the right place. it really showed in the photos i received! I had given myself a limit ahead of time as to how many pictures i would purchase so that I wouldn't go crazy and it was easy to go crazy. they sent me about 90 photos both in color and black and white and I loved a lot of them. Those i didnt love wasnt anyone's fault but my own.. I didnt love the third outfit i chose for myself and I didnt work on my "sexy face" as the website suggest so i felt some looked a little awkward, kinda like me trying to hard to be sexy. Overall i have some great shots from the shoot and some awesome birthday memories! I got the digital prints (they send them in color and in black and white) so i cant wait to make canvases of them to display in my walk in closet. Now every time i go to get dressed i'll be reminded of how beautiful i am stripped down.

For years I have wanted to do a boudoir photo shoot for various reasons and after searching tons of sites I kept coming back to Natalie's website, GetShotNaked.com. I was enthralled with the various looks, poses, outfits and variety of women she's worked with over the years. I emailed her, had a phone consult, paid to hold my spot and prepared for what turned out to be one of the best experiences I have ever had. Natalie emailed me a guide to help me prepare for my shoot which was a godsend because this was all new to me. She gave so many ideas for what to wear, how to prepare, where to shop....there really wasn't one topic she didn't touch on. She even included different statements from past clients about their fears and how they overcame them. I prepared as much as I could in the weeks following and when the day came to head to her home my nerves got the best of me. I kept questioning if I brought the correct items, if they would look sexy, did I lose enough weight? All of those fears melted away within the first 5 minutes of meeting this wonderful woman. She greeted me with the warmest smile and it almost felt like I had known her for years. I think, when you've decided to do something like this, feeling comfortable with your photographer is SO important and Natalie really knows how to help you see past your fears and self-doubt. Without giving too much away, I will skip through to the reveal which just happened a few days ago: WOW WOW WOW is all I can say about it! I walked into this hating how I looked and walked out of it loving myself and thankful that I decided to go with this photographer. There is no way to put a price on what she does because she has managed to capture beauty in me that I never saw before. My husband and I have been together for quite some time and are both very happy with this investment. I thought I was going to worry about the price but that is what we do as women: We buy for our husbands, our children and rarely do we go all out for ourselves.
