She supports and challenges me, makes me think and aware of patterns that prevent me from moving forward. She encourages me to stay accountable to myself. She's never encouraged or offered any "new age treatments." Therapy is an individual process. Gestalt therapy will not allow you to hide behind victim mentality nor neglect to call your attention to patterns and processes of your character that prevent you from moving forward. I would recommend Anastasia with no hesitation, except she's usually full and not accepting anyone new because of how great she is to work with, but don't let that prevent you from calling to inquire...

I lost entire years of my life and my symptoms saw no improvement during the time I was seeing her. As a multiply-marginalized individual, I would bring up the real-life issues that I faced only to have her victim-blame me. This is extremely ignorant as Licensed Clinical Social Workers are supposed to have training in, and advocate for, people who face structural oppression. Furthermore, she refers patients to New Age 'treatments' that are incredibly damaging--which she claims will 'help'. When confronted with the personal damage she caused me, she took no accountability for her actions at all.

Each time I met with her she described what she could do for me, but she never actually treated me or even took any time to do an intake assessment in order to shape the correct care plan. She has wasted my time and money, all while letting my mental health get worse. It is shocking to me that she even has a license to practice any kind of care, given her ineptitude. When I told her I wanted to end our final session early because this wasn't working for me, she was extremely condescending and said "well, you're an adult; you can do what you want, I guess."
