I am in disbelief after a horrible billing situation. I wish I had seen the comment posted on…read more4/1/2015 on the North Bergen office account before going to any of these offices. Please read my post and the one below and save yourself a lot of trouble by picking a different practice! I wish I had believed the review for their North Bergen location, but I thought one bad review can't possibly mean anything. ALL of the offices share the same billing office. I had a horrible billing experience. Between 7/2/2015 and 8/10/15 I had about 8 appointments at this office for allergy testing. I saw a doctor once and was billed each time for a doctor visit and testing. That was fine. At EACH of my 8 appointments I asked if I owe a balance and was told no. When I went to the office on 8/20/15 I was told I owe $900 immediately for all of my visits (I am insured, $900 went against my deductible). It was a Saturday morning and I was forced to call their billing office from the waiting room. I did. Billing told me a bill was sent, it never was. Then billing told me that the bill was just sent a few days ago because they just learned from my insurance my tests would costs me that much money. If they just learned it would cost me that much why was I being billed for 100% "immediately" instead of for each appointment at a time over a longer period of time? Come September 20, I received a collection notice for this full amount. My credit score is 720, I have never missed a payment on anything in my life. I make $900 in 2 days, I don't care about the money - I care about the ethics. These people are crooks. I feel like they continued to tell me I didn't owe anything until my deductible was exhausted because if I saw a $200 charge billed to me per appointment I would have switched to a cheaper allergist or stopped testing! They ran up the bill and hid the costs, and then at exactly 30 days from when THEY found out about the charges (not me) they sent it to collections. Calling their office to come up with a payment plan or discuss results in attitude from their employees. I would NEVER use this office again and they should be shut down for unethical business practices.

I got my skin allergy patch test done here and I was the last appointment of the day. The doctor…read moreread my results too quickly and ended up misdiagnosing a few of my allergies, and I ended up having to get the test re-read by a doctor at a totally different practice. With these patch tests, each allergen is taped to your back and then numbered. If you react to a certain number, the doctor should match that number to an allergen on a "answer key" which tells you what exact substance is in the patch that you are allergic to. I had a significant reaction to two numbers that were clearly labeled, but the doctor was in such a rush to get out of the office she mis-matched the number to the answer key. In her haste, she also failed to mark down one number that was clearly a red square and clearly induced a reaction. This appointment was really important to me (I've been having a bad reaction under an eye, so soaps I believe) and I noticed the doctor only noted a few allergies when I had a reaction to more than just a few more of the patches, so something felt wrong. Luckily, I followed my gut was able to have another allergist at a completely different practice read the results for me and get the diagnosis correct, and the nee diagnosis aligned with my own observations of the patch reactions. I additionally spent two hours waiting for the doctor because she was running behind schedule, which she never apologized for or addressed. The secretary out front also failed to apologize, even after I asked several times if I was going to be seen that day. As if all of this wasn't bad enough, the doctor tried pushing a blood test on me for environmental allergies, which is something I did not want. When I said I didn't want the allergy test, she said something like "what are you trying to hide, just get it," which I found really odd, pushy, and inappropriate. Even after telling her I wasn't interested, she kept pushing it on me to the point where I actually had to be stern with her. It was so uncomfortable and embarrassing. On top of being careless and inaccurate, the receptionist incorrectly told me I had to pay for my entire patch test in full, which turned out to be false once insurance billed me ( happy surprise I guess, but accuracy is important with matters related to health!)

I came early for my appointment and was told that a referral hasn't been recieved by the male front desk person. He was very kind at first. My doctor's office sent over a a referral and they informed me it needed to be electronic (this should of been explained prior to my appointment) After going back and forth with my doctor and the front desk person, I was then ignored by the front desk. The kindness faded, and while speaking to the male front desk person, I did not receive eye contact, I waved my hand to get his attention and was still ignored. I came to this office with high hopes of help and left with tears because of feeling embarrassed. I am dissapionted and will report back to my personal trainer with my experience. Truly dissapionted on how I was treated, especially that I am a kind person. Noone should ever leave your office feeling this way. I understand you could not service me because of your rules, but being ignored because I was no longer a financial asset to the company is wrong. I am still a human being.

A Very "Fluid" Situation With A Real Happy Ending,…read more I am a 64 year old semi-retired Executive Chef from Verona, NJ. I remember, quite vividly, being a strong and competent leader while I worked in professional kitchens all across the country. One thing I demanded, from my workers, was for them to honor and uphold their personal pledge to uphold and honor the word "perfection". God knows none of us are perfect in our ways but it is challenging to try to be a great example especially in our workplace and in our homes with our loving families. I really enjoy meeting new friends and working with people who are "perfectionists" in their ways. I also enjoy people who are good teachers. I love listening and learning new things each and every day. Several months ago, I took a terrible fall in my bathroom, in the dead of night, and fractured my humerus bone in my shoulder, in 5 different places. To make a very long story short, my team of doctors elected not to do complete shoulder replacement surgery right away. Instead physical therapy would play the most important role. I was pretty damn frustrated too because #1, I was in a lot of physical pain and #2, I have already had two new hips replaced and three back surgeries during the course of the last 5 years. Believe me, going back to rehab was not in this Chef's plans again! One day (even before my accident), one of my registered nurse friends noticed deep and troubling swelling coming from my feet and my legs. She was worried that edema (an evil bodily fluid) was penetrating my body and perhaps even headed to my heart. Honestly, I thought nothing of it until I couldn't put on my sneakers on my feet anymore. I went to my family doctor who urgently sent me to the local hospital for 8 grueling hours worth of testing. They ruled out congestive heart failure but, instead, they sent me to a vascular specialist. They checked me every which way they could for blood clots and vascular damage. The results? No blockages or major vascular issues whatsoever. Instead, I had developed a chronic case of lymphodema. My wife and I both looked at each other and, at the same time, we both said "what the hell is that"? From there, I was recommended to one of two lymphodema treatment centers in northern New Jersey. When we first called their office, they did not have a first appointment for well over a month. Perseverance from my vascular surgeon and my wife both paid off greatly and I was able to get in to Omni Physical Therapy Center located at 1018 Broad Street in Bloomfield. Six weeks ago, I had the high honor and the great pleasure of meeting the two professional therapists there, Oscar and Ana Pozzoli (a married couple), who specialize in the treatment of this very dangerous condition. Upon my very first appointment, my legs and my feet were measured and, after a complete size up and a thorough examination, Ana let me know that I was in for a very long haul to remedy the situation. Oscar and Ana sat me down to explain and outline everything. Their "matter of fact" demeanor and their "perfect" professional and medical knowledge was both comforting and awe inspiring. It's been about 5 weeks since I started (3 times a week). The lymphodema (or the swelling) has decreased in my lower limbs by almost 8 centimeters. That's truly amazing! During one of my weekly visits, I asked Ana and Oscar a very important question. Why don't more people know about lymphodema or lipidema (which affects ladies)? I am sure that you know a relative or a friend who may have abnormal swelling going on in their limbs or upper body. It is a condition that should not be ignored or brushed off. Please first check with your family doctor because a vascular specialist will have to rule out blood clots or other physical ailments. If you are diagnosed with lymphodema or lipidema, than I have found the "perfect" therapy center just for you! Ana, Oscar, Maribel (their wonderful assistant) and their cute little dog, Dora will welcome you with open arms or open "paws". It is nice to know that caring and ultra intelligent medical professionals really do exist in this world of ours. I am so grateful to both of them. I have to wear compression hosiery for the rest of my life (no skirt jokes please!) but it's a small price to pay for getting my health back in order. Ana and Oscar are now rehabilitating my broken shoulder and, in just two visits, I already have much more range of motion back. Are they miracle workers? Maybe. Perfectionists? Without a doubt! Give them a call at 973-429-0890 for more information or go to their website, Omnitherapycenter.com. With this group, you'll be glad to know that your very own "fluid" situation will have a very happy ending! With My Utmost Respect and Personal Gratefulness, Executive Chef Cardie Mortimer

Giuliana is truly one of the best and most caring physical therapists -- they are incredibly lucky to have her. She is intentional with her individualized plan for patients and extremely knowledgeable, always taking the time to understand my specific needs and explain everything in full detail so I felt confident and at ease throughout my recovery. Giuliana worked with me step by step to get my hip healed and stronger, starting slow and gradually building my strength with dynamic, effective exercises. I never felt rushed, pushed too hard, or overlooked. It took some time but I've fully recovered and no longer have hip discomfort thanks to Giuliana. The entire team was always accommodating with scheduling, which made a huge difference with my crazy work schedule, and the facility itself is clean, welcoming, and well-maintained. They also have great playlists to keep everyone motivated during their sessions. I'm so grateful for the care I received here. The rest of the staff is also wonderful - especially Bethany! Everyone is welcoming and professional and it's clear they love what they do. I highly recommend Pro Staff Physical Therapy -- to anyone looking for skilled and personalized PT care in Montclair and the surrounding towns.
