Right from the get-go My sisters nervousness eased when he came in startled her and they started giggling like little girls and making each other laugh...like gut laugh!! I realize that sounds like that would not be a good introduction for most but it immediately put my sister at ease. I seriously have not laughed so hard in a Dr appointment in all my life! He is caring, and understanding (Which is hard for a Male Dr to understand what we as women go through but believe me when I say he really does!). He made sure she knew just what the next steps were going to be and we were very well informed of complications that she may experience. He has an art form to surgery. and even now she has complications, NOT BECAUSE OF SURGERY, but because of other reasons I will not put in writing... he has made sure he is available to her, sets up regular appointments to make sure she is doing ok and that nothing goes unnoticed. I didn't wait very long. From there, I sat with the doctor's assistant, also named Emily. She was very thorough and efficient at her job. She also listened to my concern about taking blood pressure before and after my visit as a personal preference. I appreciated her for this. Dr. Schlecht herself was a very friendly doctor and she also listened to me as well about my needs and she also provided patient education where I might've had this information about mammograms versus MRIs and what they pick up. I appreciate her patience and her kind bedside manner. When I was done, I met Gail who is the in-house phlebotomist representing Sonora Quest and she was very kind had such a great personality and she made my visit very fun. Enjoyable. You can tell she's a caring and compassionate woman and they're lucky to have her in the office as well. Finally, when it was time to check out, I was again impressed with Emily, the receptionist for giving me preparation; a slip of paper explaining that they even have in-house ultrasound and that a woman named Jill causes insurance the Monday or Tuesday before hand to verify coverage and to get pre-authorization and I just think that this practice has their stuff together. She was very comfortable with his explanation of what he was going to do and she liked his sense of humor. So I decided to go see him for a large cyst on the side of my foot that I had been wanting to get removed. He began by trying the least invasive option; Injecting it with a numbing/ cortisone blend. It decreased in size pretty well so I returned 2 weeks later for another treatment. All is great. Dr Shindler has a disarming quality about him. I must mention that when you walk into the office, there is a very friendly casual feel. No uptight, too serious office staff here, just welcoming smiles. The office seems to run seamlessly. The doctors and support staff have a nice rapport with each other. Everyone seems to really love working with Dr. Shindler and Dr. Ledesma. When I went to cancel, I had expected to get my refund back as I was not told that it was fully non refundable. When I called asking for it back, the front office worker refused to admit that this was not vocalized to me (no paperwork of policy provided either). Deposits required for services are typical. But complete nonrefundable deposits with services never rendered and cancelled well in advanced? No, not typical. Sketchy. If I had been told that it was not refundable whatsoever, I would not have made the appointment. This place is not even worth looking into.
