We stayed in South Fork Cabin J, one of the resort's select pet-friendly cabins, and absolutely loved it. It was the perfect blend of camping and glamping with a fully equipped kitchenette including a stovetop, microwave, sink, toaster, dishes, and utensils, plus a private bathroom with a shower, two A/C units, and a spacious living area to relax after a day outside. My Goldendoodle, Bailey, had the best time exploring the property and curiously checking out the river. We loved relaxing in the Adirondack chairs along the water, and there was plenty of open green space along with giant chess, Connect Four, and cornhole. I also appreciated the multiple dog waste stations conveniently located throughout the resort. Check-in was incredibly easy since we arrived after 5 p.m. Our paperwork was waiting on the corkboard at the front gate, and we received our gate code by email the day before arrival. The staff were wonderful, especially Joey, the Reservations Manager, who took the time to recommend local activities, resort amenities, and nearby historical sites. The resort also has beautiful riverfront cabins and campsites, a cute camp store stocked with souvenirs, firewood, and forgotten essentials, plus a unique one-year rebooking policy that lets you reserve the same accommodation for the following year if you fall in love with your stay. We also highly recommend grabbing a coffee and a bite to eat at Argonaut Café. Overall, Coloma Resort is a beautiful, peaceful destination whether you're looking to camp, stay in a cozy cabin, or enjoy a dog-friendly weekend in nature. We can't wait to come back!

THEREFORE, I searched ALL the YELP! photos I posted: I found a few photos dated 1/5/2019 as PROOF I did write my reviews for both locations. Disappointingly, ALL my photos AND reviews for James Marshall's Monument and Coloma State Park event MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEARED AFTER 2019! UNHAPPY! Anyway, in June 2022, I attended a Military Funeral I personally arranged at James Marshall's Monument for my deceased Army friend who passed away plus, instrumentally preventing his family from spending an egregious, heinous sum for funeral expenses, i.e., I contacted the Coloma State Park's Head Supervisor Ranger on my friend's family's behalf. Blessed, the Head Park Ranger Supervisor contacted my friend's family a couple days later who only had to pay $75.00 for reserving James Marshall's Monument location for my friend's Military funeral! The location presided a PRIVATE, dignified, Military funeral which involved the US Army Color Guards who fired off a 21-Gun Salute for my deceased Army friend, ample parking provided for all attending the Military Funeral, conveniently located picnic tables for food/libations setup, and more importantly, an easy, short stroll to James Marshall's Monument where the 21-Gun Salute was presided. My friend's family were so grateful to Coloma State Park's Head Park Ranger Supervisor for allowing presiding a Military funeral which was quite a distance from the Coloma State Park's American River parking lot. Reiterating, reserving the James Marshall's Monument location for my friend's family and all who attended my friend's Military Funeral, it was so PRIVATE, awesome, easy, uncomplicated set up due to the picnic tables for the food and libations were conveniently adjacent to the clean restrooms, and overall, a gorgeous, tranquil, serene, appropriate location presiding a somber, dignified, Military funeral. Finally, presiding a Military Funeral at James Marshall's Monument for my friend's family will always be remembered and revered. Best of all, all who attended my friend's Military funeral have ALL returned exploring James Marshall's Monument--again, James Marshall's log cabin, checking the construction updates for both St. John's Catholic Church and Emmanuel Church, Sutter's Mill, gold panning the American River, sent snail mail from the Coloma Post Office, ate at my friend, Noah's Argonaut Cafe, and hiked all the trails, too! So many of our guests said it was one of, or the, most beautiful weddings they had ever been too. This venue is great with the different locations allowing for a unique setting for the ceremony, dinner, cocktail hour, and dancing. There is so much space. The venue was also incredible because they informed us a local business would have a live band during our wedding and that they would work with them on the key moments. We checked in with the venue as we were concerned about our live musician, a harpist, having to compete with another live band close by, as well as our first dance. Laura worked with the business to coordinate the live band playing the following day. While I felt bad for that, I really appreciated our venue working on preserving those key moments for our wedding. We went back and forth on going with Coloma Weddings for our catering. We are SO glad we went with them; heard lots of good feedback on the dinner which was delicious!! Thank you for much for everything!

Sitting on the shores of the South Fork of the American River, is a lovely spot with two possible areas for eating, set up for a bar, a dance floor, camping in large cabins overlooking the river, and a cozy and beautifully decorated honeymoon cottage. We had about 110 guests who were happy with everything, including the delicious dinner for the wedding guests, and breakfast for those who stayed in the campground. Jerry and his crew do an amazing job of coordinating everything at this unique venue. Notwithstanding, we had to contend with a "winter storm" in May, yet everything was handled with grace and good cheer. We so highly recommend Earthtrek!

From the moment we stepped onsite for our initial tour, EarthTrek was the immediate and obvious top choice for us. There are so many areas for guests to explore and enjoy - many of our guests raved to us about the beautiful, serene venue. The river provides such a soothing backdrop and the whole site feels very private and secluded. We really loved that our guests could book overnight camping, and we also opted for the breakfast burrito option on Sunday morning, which was a big hit and a really delicious, bountiful spread. Laura, who was our primary point of contact, is a dream to work with - just genuinely one of the nicest people I've ever come across, and so accommodating and responsive (which is exactly what you hope for when you're planning a wedding). Our wedding was very DIY and decor-forward, and Laura was so great about scheduling site visits with us so we could plan and take measurements. All of the small details were handled perfectly - a sign announcing the bride and groom, wedding cake, and celebratory drinks on top of the piano. Behind the scenes (literally behind a very decorative curtain) is a back area with rooms for privacy to change and prepare for the big day. The pastor was great. A friend played the piano as a wedding march and then sang a beautiful song for the couple. Huge congrats to our friends AnnMarie and Michael. So glad we were able to be there for them at their nuptials - especially in such a wonderful setting. If you're looking for a place to get married in Reno you can't go wrong with this hidden gem of a chapel within the Grand Sierra Resort.

We can totally leave town, RIGHT NOW! Im serious. Im just offering." I would not wish marriage on anyone, but if you are hellbent on doing it, might as well do it here. I recommend that you elope, get married by the city and save the $1200 price tag that getting married here cost me, and have a really cool honeymoon. But, what do i know.
