My first visit I met Dr. Carralero and Tons of Xrays were performed. The Doctor was very nice and went over my xrays and scheduled me to come back today October 29th . 2026 to have my teeth cleaned. I was seen right away and had gum measurements done again. These were done 5 months ago by my previous dentist. I was advised after that to go talk to the office manager who informed me that they could not clean my teeth until they performed scaling and root planing, but my insurance would not cover this. The cost was 1000.00 but I could get discount today and only pay $576.00. My previous dentist did this 1 1/2 years ago. I said I will think about it, that I just want my teeth cleaned that is covered by my insurance and they refused to clean them. I left and went to my dentist that I had been going to for years and explained my situation. He stated this was not necessary and scheduled a appoinment to have my teeth cleaned, he also explained they only charge $300.00 for the same procedure if and when he felt this was necessary. I understand corporate dentist offices do not make money on just cleaning your teeth so they try and make up for their losses other ways. Not very happy after driving 1 hour to this appointment specifically for cleaning. If you have a ADVANTAGE plan I suggest you get another dental insurance.
