They were thorough and patient, looking for the best possible fit and providing detailed guidance along the way. I was also impressed by how knowledgeable this team is- they know the market incredibly well, know the pertinent city and state ordinances, and provided best practices every step of the way. I was especially impressed that every single one of my questions had an answer (and I had a lot of questions about any topic imaginable). Communication was prompt and proactive, and they made a stressful process incredible easy. Could not recommend this team enough.

He touched up photos to present the property as well as possible, worked weekends and evenings when things needed to get done, and was consistently available whenever I had questions or needed help along the process. The buyer was often unresponsive and difficult to work with, and my agent did an incredible job staying on top of everything, following up, answering calls and texts, and keeping the process moving forward making sure the deal closed. I never felt left in the dark or like I had to chase anyone down for an answer. With any real estate agent, you're worried about them doing the bare minimum to close a sale, yet with Matt it was clear they genuinely cared about getting the property sold and making the process as smooth as possible for me. They led with value and overdelivered. If you're looking for a real estate agent who is responsive, hardworking, proactive, and willing to go the extra mile, I cannot recommend them more highly. I would absolutely work with them again. A perfect 10/10.

I decided to sell, found Jim online, and quickly realized that he was a great guy as well as being an exceptional agent. As an absentee landlord, I needed a little extra help which he provided. He was able to recommend someone to do a minor upgrade and a stage-er when we put it on the market. He also gave sage advice as to when the best time to sell was as well as pricing ideas of course. As a buyer, Jim was both ready to take the lead with regards to finding places to show me, and taking me to places I saw online. It's a good balance. I imagine that buyers these days mostly need their agents for the paperwork and touring anyway, and he appreciates that. The process was easy. The selling process was harder, but I think I made it harder for myself. There were a few flaws with the home (just small things, like it needing to be painted, etc.), and he suggested staging it. I balked, because that stuff is expensive, and he accepted that and did virtual staging instead. However, when it didn't sell for a couple of months, I agreed to staging...and I had a good offer in less than two weeks. Maybe I would've gotten an offer anyway, but his advice on the staging definitely seemed to be worthwhile. He made the paperwork on that side SUPER easy -- which is great, since I had already moved out of state -- and even sent me a small, delicious gift to celebrate my move. I doubt I'll be back in Chicago for anything but visiting, but if I did want to buy/sell there, I'd definitely look Jim up again. It's also worth noting that the Dream Town office is stocked with my favorite soda (Diet Dr Pepper, in a can), which is a plus in my book.

I've worked with him twice now, both as a buyer and a seller,  and I'm about to work with him for a third time. I can't think of a better endorsement than choosing to go back to the same realtor again and again. Whether buying or selling, John made the process as smooth and stress-free as it could possibly be. Real estate transactions can be overwhelming, but he has a way of making you feel informed, in control, and completely at ease throughout the entire process. The closest comparison I can think of is a doctor with an incredible bedside manner; not only are you getting someone who deeply knows their craft, but someone who genuinely cares about making the experience as easy as possible for you. 1. Real Estate Expertise You can tell almost immediately that John knows his stuff. From comps and pricing strategy to negotiations and local market expertise, he is knowledgeable about every aspect of the process. He brings both confidence and strategy to the table, and you always feel like you're in capable hands. 2. Communication & Responsiveness John is incredibly responsive and easy to reach, often answering calls even when I contacted him unexpectedly. He consistently made me feel like I was his top priority, even though my properties may have been on the lower end of the range he typically works with. He patiently walks you through every step, is honest about both the positives and negatives, and makes sure you fully understand everything before moving forward. 3. Client-First Mentality It was obvious to me from the beginning that John has very high ethical standards. He genuinely wants what is best for his clients and never pressures you into buying or selling something that isn't right for you just to close a deal. He is truly an advocate throughout the entire process. One example that stands out: the week I was ready to list my condo, the unit flooded and the insurance process delayed everything by a couple of months. John remained calm, patient, and level-headed the entire time, which helped keep me from panicking. Everything moved on my timeline, and I never once felt pressured. He also consistently goes above and beyond in ways most realtors wouldn't. On the morning listing photos were being taken, I handed him a bag of light switch covers in a panic -- and he calmly installed them throughout the unit without hesitation. When situations like that came up, his response was always: "I'm a realtor -- that's my job." 4. Calm Under Pressure Nothing seems to faze John. He stays calm, objective, and solutions-oriented no matter what is happening, and that energy absolutely carries over to his clients. Having someone like that in your corner during a stressful process makes all the difference. Bottom line: I will never work with another realtor.
