The owner is always available, she makes an effort to know the students and parents. The teachers are world class and give 100% to training and developing the students. I've seen a lot of changes and growth over the years but of course there is always room for improvement. This is not a big glitzy studio that you see on tv. They are real people who truly want the best for the students. And while winning isn't everything, the number of trophies and championships that the studio has earned is a great indication of the level of training provided. From the youngest team at 4 years old to high school seniors and beyond, these students showcase the epitome of excellence in dance. If you're looking for a family oriented, comfortable and caring dance studio for your child that provides an excellent dance education then I encourage you to stop into one of the open houses this summer and see for yourself.

Im sure once my youngest is old enough she too will join the sherry martin crew. Overall, not a competition studio, but thats not what im looking for, just want my girls to have fun, move their bodies and learn something. Although i will say my eldest has come SO far in her skills from where she started. Would recommend this studio 100%

This is the best dance experience that Buffalo has to offer. Whether you've never done hip hop a day in your life or you've been dancing since age two, Musicality Central is your studio. Here's why: There is NO PRESSURE to be anyone other than who you are. Are you brand new and have two left feet? Perfect. Are you a hip hop influencer wanting to sharpen your locking technique? Glad to have you. Do you feel self conscious about movement sometimes? YUP- join the rest of us. No matter what your skill level or where you're coming from, studio co-owners and teachers Susie and Rishone are going to meet you where you're at and create a comfortable environment right from the moment that class begins. Speaking of Rishone and Susie, they are two of the best teachers you will ever encounter. They are committed to BOTH helping you learn as well as ensuring that you have fun. I've danced for most of my life and I have rarely experienced both of these *so* well. They have put a lot of time and energy into creating the best learning environment for students; they genuinely care about your learning, and hold themselves to a high standard of choreographing and teaching. In addition to choreography classes where you learn hip-hop technique (at different levels of skill/experience), they also offer aerobics-type classes - like Zumba but with better choreography and music (in my opinion). You don't have to have any dance experience to enjoy these, but dancers tend to love them because it feels more like dancing than working out (it's actually both, equally... shhh). There are flexible and affordable payment options: pay for one class at a time, buy a 5- or 10-class pack, or buy an unlimited month at a time! Save those pennies. Musicality Central classes are consistently the highlight of my day, week, and month. You won't regret giving it a try.

They were able to learn many dances from Lesia and even have a dance choreographed for them which they performed at the spring Showcase. Having individual lessons from a skilled instructor really makes a huge difference. Lesia was able to give them the individualized instruction they needed to be successful, additionally I was always kept informed of what dances they were learning. When it came time to show off their dances they felt confident and supported. I also enjoyed that they are learning dance techniques that can be carried on through out their lives.

We've belonged to three ballet studios (we've moved a few times) and have been here the longest. This school impresses me with the level of quality instruction starting with the youngest kids. At a previous dance studio, the "Pre-ballet" or "Ballet I" classes were taught by young college students (and even one high school senior) who were trying to get teaching experience. Here, every teacher we have had has been a professional and has instructed the kids as such. The atmosphere is caring and loving but also fairly serious. You are following in the footsteps of many dancers who have attended the school over 52 years and have gone on to dance careers. The Nutcracker performance sells out at UB every year, and the end of the year recital (also at UB) is an enormous production. This is not the YMCA's music and movement class. They offer ballet, pointe, acro, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, Broadway dance, jazz and tap, as well as adult ballet classes. The cost seems comparable to other dance studios in the area, and there is a discount for families.
