I manage a strong team and in the time of COVID-19 I needed a new/creative way to train and build them. I decided to try a "virtual escape room" concept, through the use of Zoom and pre-recorded videos. I wanted an experience tailored to my team, which took aspects of their day to day responsibilities, and tied it into a fun and exciting story. I provided David Beerman with the project plan and associated media files, we had a call where we discussed the directions/message of the videos (I identified/highlighted which aspects of the scene tied into the overall escape room type puzzle) and David Beerman edited the footage into gold! David was in constant communication with me throughout the project, mostly just sending a quick notification that he was making progress (which was extremely appreciated). Once it was done, we jumped on a zoom call and he walked me through each of the scenes he edited. David Beerman did a fantastic job at editing the video and he also explained to me how I should conduct myself prior to and after each of the scenes (as I was the Escape Room Host); so that I could continue the mood/vibes that he set within each of the scenes. My nonprofit needed a quick video made that told our story briefly and effectively for fundraising purposes. When COVID-19 hit, we realized we couldn't arrange to get the new footage we needed of the families we serve, and the company I originally wanted to go with said they no longer would be able to help us at the original price we discussed (they had significantly reduced staff). I sent him what must have been 5 years of footage plus photos. He not only organized the footage for us (so grateful!) but he was able to find the gold nuggets of content and new, powerful ways of telling our story from footage we did not really know how to use/thought was not valuable. He also helped me collect some new footage, interviews, using video conferencing and coached me on how to collect it in the most thorough manner. David Beerman did a great job on my daughter's Bat Mitzvah montage. I was overwhelmed by the project and sent him way too much footage. He helped to organize everything and narrow down the videos to truly highlight what was more important. David also interviewed my daughter about her likes and dislikes and then added in a color scheme, transitions and music that were perfectly suited to her. As a result, the video was incredibly personalized and didn't look like all of the "cookie cutter" montages out there. She was overjoyed when she saw the final project and said it was by far the best montage video she saw all year. (She saw a ton of Bar and Bat Mitzvah montage videos!) We gathered all the footage and pictures from our family and guests, none of whom are professional photographers by any stretch of the imagination, and sent it off to David along with some personal requests from the bride and groom. We hired David Beerman to create and edit a family video for our parents anniversary. many family members sent him all the photographs and videos they wanted in the the video and we were all very impressed with how it turned out. He added music, and put everything in order so that it looked really good. It was a surprise and our parents were so touched by it - they were crying!
