David's VO Class was amazing. This was my first participating in an VO class and as an instructor he was very informative and supportive. I really enjoyed how small and intimate the class sizes were. There was plenty of opportunities for individualized support, feedback, and redirection. I signed up for both the VO 1 & 2 classes. I am looking forward to taking VO 3 in the near future. Where to begin! I started taking Voice Over classes with David last year and absolutely fell in love with it. His classes were not only fun and incredibly informative but I also love the way he teaches. He delivers clear feedback in an encouraging way while also remaining open to your own interpretation of something. I like that he fosters your instinct as an artist and works with your point of view. It's a fine balance! When I learned he started an in-person Acting Technique class, I knew I had to give it a try. His VO classes are amazing so I figured this class would be too. I was right! I've been going for almost 6 months and I've learned so much. The class is so unique in that it touches upon several exercises and techniques to give you a well-rounded experience. There is scene work, yes, but that's just one of a number of things we work on. There are different improv exercises, character work assignments, mock-auditions, and scene work that is rehearsed and ultimately filmed. I can really see improvement when looking back at my earlier clips in class. I HIGHLY recommend checking out his classes, especially his Acting Technique class. David is a wonderful, encouraging teacher with a wealth of knowledge and the ability to give clear direction while fostering your own unique voice. read more

David is an incredibly knowledgable and professional vocal coach. In one session, he managed to point out bad habits and strain in my technique almost immediately. The results were instantaneous, a more supported and healthy sound. After a long hiatus from coaching, I reached out to David for help in my tribute act - I was straining my voice and still not having much success at sounding like our artist. David helped me recognize our artist's signature sound and figure out how do THAT with MY voice. I felt a lot of progress in just a few sessions, and my confidence increased dramatically. I've been taking VO classes with David for about 6 months. David is insightful, collaborative, and a great director. He helps push you through your roadblocks and correct any bad habits you may have developed. He'll also guide you to recognize, embrace, and improve your own unique voice. David is truly a great teacher. I bought a hour hour lesson from a deal-of-the-day site and wasn't sure what to expect. Upon first going into the lesson he explained clearly what the goals of the lesson were. He was very thorough, but at the same time very welcoming. It's kind of like learning something from a friend, where you don't feel the pressure of having to perform or act a certain way. He gave me a few exercises where I sang from different scales and notes that he played on the piano, and from there he was able to note where my trouble areas were and from there we worked on teaching me exercises and the theory behind what I needed to change to get better. Overall, I'm sure if I were to continue lessons with David, I would definitely get better. I highly recommend David if you want to get better at singing. read more

David is the best voice teacher I have ever had hands down. In less then a year I have gone from sounding like I'm straining ever muscle in my body and several in those around me to reach an out of tune note, to being so happy with my voice that I'm am no longer searching for a singer in my band.
