Dr. Ettinger pays people to write positive review for him and his staff. He actually offered to give me a generous discount on my oral surgery. After my procedure I feel that he messed my other teeth in the process after confronting he sweared on his dead dog that he didn't touched the teeth next to the wisdom tooth (which is a lie) I feel he did something to get back at me. During our preliminary exam Dr. Stringer and his staff seemed friendly and helpful. But during our return visit for my wife to have her wisdom teeth out the receptionist seemed very cold and short with us, only talking enough to get us to sign a form, ask for our temperatures, give a fake half hearted apology when she got information about my wife's procedure wrong, and pay announcing to the room how much. After which she did not say anything to me for the rest of my wait. Had no idea my wife was finished until I noticed her outside. I waved said goodbye have a nice day to which I only received a cold look, which was easy to notice as she wasn't wearing a mask. After we left my wife said Dr. Ettinger was cold and rude today, as if once they got the money they were done caring about you. I normally wouldn't have noticed or really thought about any of this. Going about my day without thinking twice. But during our very long wait I started to notice the treatment the white couple behind us got from the receptionist. She was friendly and talkative with them, even walking them through options when their card was declined, never announcing their fee. While they were sitting and waiting for the doctor, trying to figure out payment she went out of her way to let the wife know she could stay there in the waiting room or in her car and she would come out to let her know they were finished. Which was the point I noticed the difference in the service we got. Don't know if it was racial or not as I'm Black and my wife Asian and from some of the other reviews I've seen it may not be. But either way if this is just the way they work I can understand why they haven't won an award in more than 10 years. read more

I broke a tooth over the weekend, and thankfully their office was kind enough to fit me in. I did not feel "fit in", but was taken care of, professionally and in a timely manner. I received a lot of information, written down, and reiterated, as well as the doctor's number to call ICE. I would highly recommend their practice for people in need of great care! read more

I had an immediate need for an unusual tooth extraction and I was referred to Dr. Ettinger. I did not have to wait until after the long 7/4 holiday, and my appointment was on same day of referral. He did an outstanding job with extracting my tooth in a swift and pain free manner. Literally, my tooth was out almost in the blink of an eye, seemingly. It happened so fast and again, pain free. My experience at this facility and with the dentist wasn't a pleasant one. Deadpan snark has its place and time. I was insulted by the Dr. during my consultation and mocked as well. What's worse is that I had to literally pay to be insulted after my visit. The staff was unfriendly and it almost felt as though I was being treated like I was a burden to the staff or that they had better things to do than to interact with me professionally and respectfully. Not the right kind of doctor, and I certainly don't trust putting myself in the care of such rude and insensitive so called healthcare employees. I suggest do your research before settling with this dentist. A dentist visit is stressful enough, I thought the aim of the game was to ensure the patients comfort ! read more

One of the rudest people I have ever met in my life. He acted extremely arrogant after I had to wait for him to return from lunch for 45 minutes and proceeded to "attempt" to insult my education. It backfired on him, which was humorous, and I walked out of the office never to return. He was no help whatsoever, it seems all he knows is how to perform implants. He needs to work on his communication skills and learn how to listen to people rather than insult them. read more

Seriously the best! This guy knows his stuff. I had to get out my wisdom teeth and he made me feel way less nervous about it than when I first showed up at his office! First he gave me great information about what to expect. On the day of the surgery, I was nervous again but his kind staff reassured me. The only thing I felt was the IV- a tiny, tiny pinch. Then the medicines were in and I was out like a light. When I woke up, a registered nurse was recovering me. She gave me some vaseline for my dry lips and helped me walk to the bathroom. They called back my girlfriend (who was driving me) and gave her detailed instructions. All of it was written down, along with my prescriptions, and placed in an envelope. We left and I went home and ate ice cream. That afternoon, I got a call from the office to ask how I was doing! That was really nice of them. I was just thoroughly impressed with the whole experience and have recommended them to all my friends who need their wisdom teeth out too. read more

Dr. Ettinger and his staff are consummate professionals. He is a gifted oral surgeon, and he runs a friendly, warm, and efficient office. I am in the process of completing a procedure for which my insurance will only partially cover. Dr. Ettinger has made every effort to minimize the cost while doing the work in a way that will not compromise achieving the highest quality outcome. I can't say enough good things about this practice. They scheduled me quickly. They answered all of my questions before and after the extraction. I have had teeth cleanings that were more stressful than having this tooth pulled. They called to check on me after surgery. I highly recommend this practice. I recently moved up to Wilmington and saw my new general dentist a few weeks ago. They informed me that my wisdom teeth *definitely* needed to be removed as soon as possible, as they looked impacted. They referred me to Dr. Ettinger at Delaware Center for Oral Surgery & Dental Implants, PA to perform the surgery. Today, I got the opportunity to meet with Dr. Ettinger and was impressed with the entire experience. I was brought in and he quickly saw me, performed a few quick tests to determine whether I would actually need the teeth removed, and explained exactly what he was doing in great detail. He even let me hold a mirror so I could watch one of his testing procedures. Afterward, he let me take a look at my x-rays and described, in depth, why he didn't believe I needed surgery. This is in stark contrast to some professionals I've seen in the recent past, who do very little to explain their reasoning and assume I will treat anything they say as gospel without a real reason. Horrible broke my wisdom tooth perforated my sinus cavity and said i could go back to work after my head swelled like a basket ball .Had to get sinus surgery to fix it and a REAL oral surgeon had to fix his mess up .He was the most arrogant and ignorant person iv ever had the displeasure of encountering .This was years ago and i still have problems . read more

My 3 children have all had their wisdom teeth removed, and we have also had Dr. Ettinger perform oral surgery required for orthodontia and a dental implant placement.
