I made an appt for a consultation and was given an appt for a cleaning w/sedation on a Thursday…read more They texted my grandson for confirmation of the appt. On the day of the appt, he called to see if the time could be moved up as he was feeling anxious about the appt. They told him to come in 45 min earlier than his original appt. It takes about 30 min to get there and we left in ample time. About 20 min into the ride, he received a phone call from them stating they were cancelling the appt because the dr was not in the office. Don't you think they knew that first thing in the morning? So I asked to speak with a supervisor and was put on hold. I turned my car around and headed home. After about a 10 min drive towards home, she came back on the phone and asked me if I was still coming up there. I said no what was the point. She said she couldn't get the supervisor but she spoke with the hygienist and she said they would make an exception to using the sedation and go ahead with the cleaning. I turned around and headed back to the appt. No sooner did I get off the exit and according to my GPS, we had 4 min to get there, my grandson received a call from them stating they had to cancel the appt as the machine was broken! I asked them to have a supervisor call me. this was at 11:15am. By 3:00 pm, I did not get a return call, so I called again. I feel I was getting the run around and left another message. The supervisor called me back a short time later. She was very apologetic and said she would get to the bottom of things and scheduled an appt for the following Monday morning (today) for 10:15am. She assured me that they would check everything and all would be good for his appt. So today we left the house again in ample time, got to the appt only to be told there was no appt for him! Did the supervisor forget to put him in the appt or did the office take him out? I told her to call the supervisor and talk with her. After speaking with her they put him on the schedule and we went to the waiting room. After waiting for about 20 minutes I went to the desk and asked when he was going to be called back. She said I'll be right back. I waited 5 minutes and she said someone will be out in a few minutes. Guess what???????? They cancelled the appt AGAIN because the sedation machine was broken!!!!!!! They handed me the folder with his xrays in it and a phone number for a different practice to take him to get his teeth cleaned with sedation. I called to speak with the supervisor and pushed the button on the phone for new patients. I was holding for over 30 minutes. Is this the way they treat new patients or any patient for that matter. I didn't leave any message. I called later and was told that she wasn't available and would have her call me back. That was 2:00. It is now ALMOST 4:00 and no call, so I called again and was told she left for the night as the office closes at 4:00 but the website says 5:00. This is not a practice that I will associate with as the staff in the office are not very organized. The supervisor told me that they prepare during the week for the next week to make sure everything is ready. It's quite clear this is not the case. Not only that, but the hold time for this practice is way too long for any patient to be put on hold. The practice as far as I could see was not very busy and the receptionist was not continuously having to answer the phones. So where is the problem? Not sure but I'm not staying around to find out. I am considering other options. I have contacted the owner of the company and can only hope he will call me back.

My perspective on AFD is a little unique. As a founder, I had the privilege of helping shape the…read morevision of this practice alongside Dr. Green. Today, I experience that vision not only as a team member, but also as a mom. My own children have been patients here since the day we opened our doors, and trusting them with the care we provide has always been the truest measure of whether we are living up to what we set out to create. When the idea of AFD first began, its started with a simple question: "What would we want for our own children?" The answer to that question became the foundation of AFD's mission, values, and the care we provide every day. We envisioned a practice that looked beyond straight teeth and focused on the whole child--breathing, sleep, facial development, confidence, and long-term health. Most importantly, we wanted families to feel heard, supported, and cared for throughout their journey. My husband and I have trusted that vision with our own children every step of the way. One of the things I admire most about Dr. Green is that she never stops learning. Even after years of advanced training and experience, she is constantly studying, collaborating with colleagues around the world, and refining her approach to ensure her patients receive the best possible care. She is incredibly thoughtful in her treatment planning and takes the time to truly understand each patient's unique needs rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. What families may not see is the amount of time she spends behind the scenes reviewing records, researching complex cases, and thinking through treatment options. She genuinely cares about every patient who walks through our doors and approaches each case with a level of attention and intention that is rare to find. As a mom, I have watched my own children grow in confidence, develop healthier habits, and benefit from treatment that addressed more than just their teeth. As someone who has worked alongside Dr. Green for many years, I have also watched countless families find answers after years of searching and finally feel hopeful about a path forward. The thing that makes me most proud isn't the beautiful smiles we help create--it's the lives that are changed along the way. Better sleep. Better breathing. Improved confidence. Children who thrive because someone took the time to look deeper. If you are considering AFD for your child, know that there is no one I would trust more with their care then Dr Green & the team at AFD, and that is the highest recommendation I can give.
