There are days in life that feel impossibly far away -- and then suddenly, they arrive…read more For us, that day was my husband's immigrant visa approval. After navigating a long and emotional process so he could finally come live with me and our children in the United States, we can say with complete confidence: we could not have done this without Paul. If I could give him more than five stars, I would. From the very beginning, Paul stood out. His response time is unmatched -- no attorney has ever responded to us as quickly or as thoroughly as he did. Every email, every concern, every question was addressed promptly and clearly. What makes Paul exceptional is his direct, no-nonsense approach. He does not overpromise. He does not dramatize. He gives you precise, step-by-step instructions that are so organized and easy to follow that even the most overwhelming immigration process becomes manageable. If you trust him and follow his guidance exactly, you will move through your case with confidence. It's also important to understand that no attorney has control over USCIS or NVC processing times or decisions. Every case depends on individual circumstances. What an attorney does control is preparation, accuracy, and strategy -- and Paul's system is above and beyond anything we experienced elsewhere. He earned our complete trust. Paul is not just an immigration attorney. He is someone who chose a career dedicated to helping families build their lives together in the United States. That is not something we take lightly. When the time comes for my husband's citizenship application, we will not hesitate for a second -- Paul will be our attorney again. If you are looking for clarity, structure, honesty, and exceptional responsiveness, you have found the right person.

Our…read morewedding certificate was three months late, then it was tax season, then we moved -- and honestly, our ability to focus on an application you really can't make mistakes on just wasn't there. For peace of mind, we felt it was worth hiring a lawyer to make sure everything was done correctly. After doing our research, we chose Paul Choquette. During our consultation, Paul was very blunt, upfront, and no-BS about our case, the process, and our situation. There was no sugarcoating, which I know can be intimidating for some people. I've seen reviews that mention his personality as a negative, but personally, we really appreciated it. He is also a kind person, and his directness gave us a lot of confidence that he knew exactly what he was doing and could handle our case well. Everything included in Paul's package made us feel extremely comfortable throughout the process. We started with the consultation, then completed his detailed questionnaire so he had everything he needed to prepare our paperwork correctly. Once we received our interview date, we had an online meeting to prepare for the interview, and Paul was also present in the room with us during the interview itself. Our interview only took about five minutes because Paul had already uploaded all of our documents to the immigration portal ahead of time. The agent had reviewed everything before we even walked in and only needed to ask standard questions. We were approved the same day and now have my green card. Paul was available and responsive at every step, answering all of our questions whether by email or phone. We always felt supported and informed, which made what could have been a very stressful process feel smooth and manageable. If you can embrace his blunt personality, you'll gain a kind, competent, thorough, confidence-building, and reassuring lawyer who will take great care of your case. I highly recommend Paul specifically, and Choquette Immigration Law Group as a whole. We absolutely plan on returning when we need help with my 10-year green card.

We paid for a consultation with Mrs. Rosche and met via Zoom. Overall, customer service was average…read more-- not terrible, but not great either. During our meeting, she seemed knowledgeable and confident in her skills, which initially gave us hope. We clearly explained that our case was time-sensitive and that we had a court date in less than two weeks. Mrs. Rosche asked us to send her additional information and said she would review it and send over a contract within two days. Four days passed with no response. I called her office and spoke with someone named Mariano (I'm not sure if he's a receptionist, assistant, or paralegal). I explained our situation and asked for Mrs. Rosche's direct email so I could follow up, but he said he couldn't provide it -- even for existing clients -- and that appointments could only be made online. The earliest available slot was three weeks out, which was far too late given our deadline. The only option he offered was to email him so he could forward my message to her. I followed up by email that same day, but never received any response from Mrs. Rosche. Fortunately, we had reached out to other attorneys, otherwise we would have been left completely stuck. I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism and communication from this firm. Other lawyers we spoke with were at least upfront about their availability -- even when they couldn't take our case, they were honest about it. That kind of transparency would have been appreciated here. While Mrs. Rosche's consultation fee and quoted prices seemed reasonable, this experience proved that sometimes you really do get what you pay for. The attorney we ultimately hired has been responsive, professional, and easy to reach -- everything we hoped for in legal representation. In the end, I'm relieved we went with someone else.

    Van Tassel Law

May 29, 2013 A…read moremessage to Mr. Wayne Van Tassel purportedly of the firm of Velletta and Company, Mr. Van Tassel, Your way of dealing with the party who you are trying to file a claim against and when I informed you that your first duty as a Lawyer is/was to serve the Supreme Court of Canada and the Provincial Court of BC and then the personal interests of your clients and yours as you tried to establish with me via the telephone and then proceeded to hang up on me too. It is with that response from you in mind, that I proceed to post my letter to you via the Social Media. Maybe it will harvest better results with you? The level of rudeness that you are representing your client with, is the level of service quality that Ryan Air gives and I have tried it first hand today, twice. Mind you, your client is a master at fraud and misrepresentation with Ministries of the Federal and Provincial levels of Canada. First, you started by you sneakily sending some legal documents that you deemed a "letter" via Dynamex, a courier company and not a firm specialized in serving said documents or correspondences or via registered mail through Canada Post, as it is correctly done. When the person from the courier company was asked by me if he was serving me some legal paper, he said that he did not know. I am sure, Mr. Van Tassel that you know better than to use "unusual" tactics to get to a soon-to-be defending part thanks to" your own legal services". Don't you? Mr. Van Tassel, this only makes me perceive you as a rather tricky, dishonest and and not a Law abiding lawyer, to judge from how you handled the most important information that I provided to you on the telephone and then pushed me your case and finally hung up on me. Not only has your client committed fraud against the Laws of Immigration and Revenue Canada, which are Federal and Provincial Laws, but now she is trying to commit further fraud and misrepresentation to the Supreme and Provincial Courts of Canada and BC through you and you seemed fine with that as you let me know it on said telephone conversation of a few minutes ago. I was so truly amazed by your actions and how you are ever so complacent as to re-assert your position when informed of these matters that have to be dealt first with the Government of Canada regarding your client. Your client is accountable first to Citizenship and Immigration Canada, Revenue Canada, Canadian Border Services and it is my humble experience and opinion that once she has dealt with the crimes, frauds, misrepresentations and more that Immigration Canada and Canadian Border Services deem her actions to be, and then or simultaneously with Revenue Canada, then I will see about clearing my name finally via an Order of Nullity. In that order of importance, Mr. Van Tassel. I repeat this to you for the second time and for the record. Sharing with you that your client was trying now to commit fraud and misrepresentation to the Courts and that you would be her accessory. created the response by you of rudely and unprofessionally hanging up the telephone on me. Ryan Air delivers the same type of service that Vellletta and Company Lawyers appear to deliver through people like yourself, with no manners and extremely sheer aggressive tactics. Shame on you, Mr. Van Tassel! Would you like that I post the claim to the response that is already filed at the Provincial Court in the Social Media like FaceBook, Twitter, youtube, my personal blog and other places of relevance regarding the frauds that your client has committed against the Government of Canada, its Law abiding people, my person and others and after that, she now feels supremely confident that if "she can fool all these Ministries in Canada and Canadians", therefore she can also fool the Courts of this Land? With your help, Mr. Van Tassel and your aggressiveness in using ways like the courier companies and the telephone communications with people like me that have never even heard of you before today, she might just succeed and file through you a frivolous claim like the one that she filed last year at the Court and which was responded adequately by me too and which I asked if you had a copy of? Mr. Van Tassel, listen to me clearly and for once: I will not participate directly, indirectly or be a party willing or unwilling in frauds and misrepresentations to any Ministry of Canada nor to its Courts, Supreme and/or Provincial. That is not my way in Life. It is your client's. Did I forget to mention that your first Duty is to the Courts of Canada and BC and not to your clients? Or are you an articling student and therefore have not gotten to that stage of the profession? If you continue your rudeness and ill-mannered approach to deal with a Family Law matter like the one that you seem to have taken to represent, I am sure that you will be a well-known lawyer, maybe for the Ryan Air type of approach and will also cost a lot of money to your client.
