I had a wonderful experience with Carter Notary! The staff is incredibly nice and kind. I actually made a mistake and accidentally printed the wrong document, which they ended up notarizing. When I realized my error and brought in the correct paperwork, they happily notarized the right document for me and didn't even charge me for the mix-up! It is so rare to find such honest, accommodating, and understanding customer service. I highly recommend Carter Notary to anyone in need of their services! read more

Beverly Carter is genuinely one of the kindest human beings you will ever hope to meet. It's not just talk here.... it's real. At one of the most painful and difficult 'junctions' of my life, her office proved unconditionally supportive and helpful. There's no shame here just respectful, professional, intentional service. Thank you so much! Dogs were a definite bonus!! read more

Like most, I don't need a Notary every day, but I have used Beverly a few times over the last 10 years or so. She is both helpful and knowledgeable, and has simplified seemingly complicated processes for us. She is patient at explaining things and always sees the bigger picture, so things don't fall through the cracks. What I LOVE is that she is very (VERY) community-minded. She goes above and beyond for her clients and the Victoria community as a whole. She has a great newsletter and a planning/guide work-book for people to organize important info like wills, medical wishes, etc. Highly recommend! read more

I have known Bev for 20 years now and she was the first person I thought of when I needed a notary. She was professional friendly and explained things thoroughly as this was our first time selling a house. We were very impressed and pleased with the job that she did in the closing of our house sale. I would highly recommend her!! read more

The worst experience. Incompetent. Had the numbers wrong both on the sale and the purchase. Staff unorganized. Not upfront with fees and definitely overpriced. I provided an opportunity to discuss my concerns but was not validated or valued as a customer. FYI: Chocolate business cards do not make up for value of quality of service. Susan King read more

She said she could have my case wrapped up quickly as I had all my tax forums, bank statements and all my evidence in order. She never told me her hourly rate, and never had me sign any contract. After trying to get a hold of her for two months with no response, I finally decided to fire her and go to another lawyer. When I gave her secretary that message, Mrs. Horton called me RIGHT BACK like I was the most important person in the world at that moment. Seeing a notary in Canada isn't exactly the easiest process and honestly, sometimes it really hurts…read morehaving to pay out a decent chunk of change to have a mandatory service done. I needed to get some forms notarized and was willing to drive all the way out to Sooke to get them done because my aunt is a notary out there and could do them for me for free... But driving an hour each way to have a few forms signed and stamped seemed a little bit excessive and we both agreed that the time wasn't exactly worth the money saved. She referred me to a friend of hers, Vienna Kappell, in Victoria to get the work done. I called to make an appointment for the next day and the receptionist on the other end, Hilary, was super bubbly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful, giving me a wide range of times to choose from. When the next day came around, I was running errands and didn't account for traffic, so I ended up getting to the office a few minutes late. There was someone with an appointment after me who was waiting, so Vienna was helping them out and we essentially swapped appointment times. Notarizing my forms was quite a simple process and we were done in about 5 minutes, chatting the whole time. It came up that I was referred by my aunt, who Vienna had previously worked with, and she actually decided to provide the service free of charge!!
