I have a condition that affects my eyes and started going here about 3 years ago. I am getting up there in age and have been to enough healthcare facilities to say this is one of the few places where not just the doctors, but even the staff care and want to heal you. I thought I was in good hands, but after over a year of treatment with a board certified ophthalmologist you would think he would know the right thing to do. Dr. Goldman seems not to know enough to be doing these procedures for cataracts. When he can't figure something out, he refers you to another doctor! He has done this to me two times already and I'm tired of it! I will never return to that office again!! It flabbergast me that the treating Doctor Who is certified as an ophthalmologist, keeps referring out for other opinions. Dr.Milner is the best! I was referred to him for eye surgery & he literally everything I could ask for in a doctor. I felt so welcomed , he answered all my questions , after my surgery I was in a lot of pain & even though it was after hours he called me back right away & switched my prescription & even checked on me the following day. Will not be returning to this office. Dr Milner's assistant was very very rude. My prescription was not refilled until I called repeatedly; she passed this information to the front desk to pass to me, on the basis that I was allergic to it. This was inaccurate and misinformation. She finally filled it as I continue to call back. But I needed an explanation to this misinformation. Very rude on the phone, and said 'the doctor will call you back!' Well, no one called back, and clarifications were never established. read more

This Doctor and his co doctors are outstanding. Everytime I go there I think it can't get better but it does! Dr Goldman recently brought in a partner the very, very smart Dr Mark Milner. He was covering for Dr Goldman when I had an emergency. He answered my emergency call within minutes! He was superb. Aside from family Dr Goldman has done at least a dozen cataract operations on my friends. Everyone thought he was excellent. He was the golden doctor at Bascom Palmer and now I feel lucky to be able to reach him in his own practice on PGA. It is unusual to find a surgeon who is brilliant, kind, understanding and humane. Dr. David Goldman, board certified opthamologist, did not do well by me with my Cataract Surgery. First surgery on Feb. 27, 2023, was on left eye with an extra cost of $2,500 for a Toric lens in order that I be able to see clearly at night (it is supposed to eliminate the halos around lights). Next day follow-up was fine. A week later on Mar. 8, 2023, the right was operated on. The following day, Mar. 9, 2023 the vision in my left eye was worse than it had been just 10 days before. Dr. Goldman said nothing about this. As the weeks went by my vision got progressively worse, his only response to me was that he needed to "Tweak" my left eye. When I asked what he meant by that, was he going to adjust the lens, he said, "Something like that". For the next six months, as my vision continued to deteriorate, he did nothing. Kept repeating he'd be "Tweaking" my eye soon. Five months later on July 12, 2023 he scheduled office surgery for Lasik on my left eye. The first I ever heard that I would be losing my near-sighted vision was as I was headed toward his operating room. On August 22, 2023, Melissa ran many tests. She refused to tell me what my vision was, "Look it up yourself" she said. Dr. Goldman told me my Retinas were, "Messed Up" and he did not know why. He called in the prescriptions to fix the retina problem and recommended a Retina specialist. The Retina specialist diagnosed, CYSTOID MACULAR EDEMA, it occurs on approximately 30% of cataract surgeries. It is impossible that Dr. Goldman, a board certified opthamologist, did not know that I had been suffering this malady for months as my eyes got worse. For six months I could not see very well and he did nothing. His vernacular, "I am going to TWEAK your eye" is condescending, unprofessional. I never wanted Lasik. Dr. Goldman has made me lose my capacity to shop, cook without glasses. The Toric lens did not enable me to see night lights without the halos. I did not get what I went to Dr. Goldman for. His bedside manner leaves much to be desired. read more

I moved to Florida from New Jersey, and have Meibomian Gland Dysfunction and severe Dry Eyes, which tends to cause Chalazians. My doctor up North referred me to an Optomotrist for Scleral Lenses in Florida, and their office referred me to Opthamologist Dr. Mark Milner from GoldmenEye, and said, "Dr Milner is the GURU for Dry Eye diseases & they said if I need surgery she personally would use him". The Goldman entire office staff is incredible & amazing, the office is impecably clean, and above all Dr. Mark Milner is incredible, thorough beyond imagineable, caring, and excellent diagnostician, just absolutely amazing, and he knows every medication, every application for every problem associated with Dry Eyes & Eye Infections etc. Honestly, I can't say or write enough to express how thankful I am for everyone there. Dr. Milner's assistants, technicians that accompany him or that you may see prior to him are also professional, caring, and very thorough. My son went to another eye doctor in Florida who could not diagnoise him, one look from Dr. Milner and he knew right away what he had and how to treat him. So now my husband and I and my married son and his family are all patients of GoldmenEye. I have referred him to friends and neighbors and everyone expresses gratitude and relief that they found such an amazing doctor. If you have to drive from far to go to this practice in my opinon it is well worth the drive. I had an emergency a couple of weeks ago, felt like pins and needles were in my eye, they told me to come right in, they said, "I may have a wait due to coming in without an appt, which just the fact that the doctor could see me that day was major considering the extreme pain I was in." The doctor saw me, took time to do a procedure and I left with medication and directions as to what to do. By the next day I was already feeling relief. This office can't be beat! I highly recommend David Goldman, MD! Dr. Goldman was one of the ophthalmologists I saw when he was at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. When he went into private practice I followed him. My review was NOT ABOUT Dr. Goldman. If you had read my review you would have known that! Has Dr. Goldman seen my review or your unprofessional response to my review? Looks as though an angry staff member response. I am deeply disturbed after reading this condescending response. I had stated that I never saw the doctor so I could not comment on his skill but, a good business is not only about the doctors' skill but the team working there. It's about communication and patient relationships. Who would want to become a patient after reading your condescending response?? Great way to grow a business and get yourself out there as a friendly, caring office! Perhaps an apology for the rudeness of the staff rather than a reprimand to a potential patient for not listening to your answering machine would have been more appropriate and welcoming. I did listen to the machine and left a voicemail. And still no excuse for your team not to call someone back. You and your team should be reprimanded for poor patient management. I didn't say I wanted to be seen after hours.. I LEFT A MESSAGE WITH AN EMERGENCY TO BE CALLED IN THE MORNING! Perhaps you should look up how best to respond to negative online reviews and maybe next time you should actually READ the review before responding in such a negative manner. Contrary to previous review, Dr Goldman's practice is open and flourishing. He is an outstanding ophthalmologist. I highly recommend him. He is thorough, congenial, experienced, and well-educated.
