All the veggies were fresh, my chicken was tender, and my wife liked her guac. The fried tortilla bowl wasn't greasy in the least (it was obviously a fresh-fried flour tortilla, not a prefab corn chip-ish one). I think better than half the orders we saw passing by us were fish and chips, which looked wonderful. My wife opined that it looks like this place knows how to do fried foods. Nice beer selection with several good Ontario brews on tap. We ordered a hazy IPA and enjoyed it. Service was attentive and personable. We definitely want to return to Grand Bend--and Paddington's.

Suggestion: "oh, I don't see a reservation in that name. Perhaps there was some sort of miscommunication. Luckily there are 2 different table options. Give me a couple minutes to get one cleaned and set and we'll get you seated asap". Next, the bartender came to deliver our wine and said "which of you ladies messed up and called the wrong restaurant?" ???? Again much better communication would have included "oh, Im so glad we could get you seated tonight" What an interesting way to greet customers..... After one visit, WTSP is immediately on our favorite places list, and we cannot wait to come back. The burgers are out of control good, regardless if you get the smash patty or the more traditional hand patty. The bread is homemade in the best way possible, and the attention to details - the absolutely perfect fries as example - shine through. This food is made by a kitchen that cares. And same for the pizza. I was nervous because I saw everyone ordering REALLY delicious looking Detroit style pizza, but we went with a round, hand tossed, pepperoni number. And man alive, I am glad we did. It was up there with some of the best pizza I've had in Michigan, which if you know Michigan, is saying a LOT. Long story short, this place rules. Yes, it's a little rough around the edges, but do yourself a favor and pop in for a local beer and a burger, and take home a pizza to have for dinner the next day. You'll thank me for it.
